Dean England Talks of the Start And Where It Leads Next!

Up and coming artist DEAN ENGLAND began playing at the young age of 13. His first band was a rock group called Inamba at 14 years old. By 20 he had his first small deal with a London record label, playing in the U.K. but split come sometime later. After which he would begin trying different things with solo work, including material as well as live shows. Dean himself goes into talks about how he got started and what he has planned up next!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

I started playing at a young age of 13, was in my first rock band Inamba at 14 and signed my first small deal with a London label at 20... We played the UK and did ok but sadly we split in 2010.. after trying different things and a lot of live solo shows this last few years I really found my sound in the last two years.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The name is just Dean England it’s my real name. I thought about a stage name but I think England sound cool especially when it’s my home country!

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

I am based in Wakefield which has a great live music scene. I have played Wakefield and Leeds over and over and it never gets old as people around here genuinely love to see a live act.

4. How would you describe your style?

My style is a bit of a mix. I have a very soulful voice and love to play the blues. I was brought up on Tina turner from my Mum and Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton from my Dad so I came together with my own guitar oriented music that’s full of soulful sounding harmonies.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Feel Think Do the new EP is out now on all major platforms! It’s my first release. My work is growing and so am I I will continue to try and make music that sounds cool to me and love the coming together of a beautiful guitar line with soon memorable meaningful lyrics.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes infancy I never stop writing I just can’t not switch it off. I am always writing new material and already nearly fully completed my next album but we will see how this one goes first it’s exciting times.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Its difficult at the moment as live venues are struggling however I have hosted some brilliant face book live shows at home.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

For the future I want as many people to know of my music as possible. I want it all really I am driven and it would be amazing to be known all over the UK however the passion is to write a song that people can’t relate to and to help them connect in some way.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff? Feel think do is out now on all major platforms. Amazon music, Spotify Deezer YouTube band camp you name it it’s there.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Wow this guy can sing haha I guess I want them to feel as connected as possible to the music I make.
