Netflix is bringing the popular Italian animated franchise Winx Club to its members around the world in a new, live action young adult series. For the first time the popular six fairies will turn into real teenagers learning to hone their powers while living together in a magic boarding school.

Winx Club was created and produced in Italy in 2004 by Iginio Straffi, founder and CEO of Rainbow Group. After its launch, It has become one of the most successful animated series globally and one of the first Italian series to be sold in the US.

In 2016, Netflix globally and exclusively released two seasons of World of Winx, a spinoff from the successful Winx Club, which has been popular with audiences around the world.

Erik Barmack, VP of International Originals at Netflix, says: "Winx is a global phenomenon and through this exciting series we are thrilled to reinforce our relationship with Rainbow and to develop the next chapter of Winx. The famous fairies will grow up with their audience and will explore complex themes as real-life teenage super heroines in a live action show".

Winx Club a cartoon centered around young girls who turn out to be fairies, which launched back in 2004 via FoxKids, then later moved on to Nickelodeon. Which would hop onto Netflix would be returning to television screens! In the form of an over the air TV antenna based channel block called KidsClick!

KidsClick being a part of the ThisTV station of your local TV provider. Beginning Monday October 9th 2017, the KidsClick channel will swap out it's current weekday scheduling with an all new line-up! It will be as follows;

6:00AM – Rocket Monkeys
6:30AM – Max Steel
7:00AM – Angry Birds
7:30AM – Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir
8:00AM – Winx Club
8:30AM – Super 4

So if you are a TV antenna owner and user of still watching TV the old fashioned way, then be sure to get your wings on and magic set, for the Winx Club to air on KidsClick the cartoon morning block for the weekday and weekends!

Royal Academy is a hilarious and exciting new take on some of our best-loved fairy tales and focuses on the adventures of Rose Cinderella, the newest student at Royal Academy. She is also the granddaughter of one of the school’s founding families – as are her new classmates Hawk Snowwhite, Travis Beast, Pearl Rapunzel and Violet LeFrog. These five famous fairy tale families not only run the school but also the lives of their grandchildren – or at least they try to! When the fairy tale clans aren't fighting with each other, they’re butting heads with Rose and the rest of the new generation, who have their own ideas about what the life of a ‘Prince Charming’ or a ‘Damsel in Distress’ is all about!

The new comedy series, aimed at kids aged 5 to 10, features 26 half-hour episodes and the combination of sumptuous animation and engaging and exciting storylines is sure to delight and entertain audiences across the world! Rainbow’s outstanding pedigree in the field of kids entertainment shows the potential for Royal Academy, having been behind one of the biggest hits of recent years in the shape of Winx Club!

Winx Club debuted years ago airing on various networks then years later another network Nick picked up the show with an all new re-dub of the beloved show. But after the conclusion of it's sixth season, Nick let go of the cast and a new cast had to be brought in for the upcoming third film and future seasons. The third film in the Winx Club series will debut in Italy this fall in September! This film will fall between the lines of season 5 and season 6 in the series. This time the Winx Club are back in the Infinite Ocean's depths! Thanks to their new ally Politea the Trix the Winx's long time rivals, are teaming together with Politea to free from his prison cell Tritannus, swapping his life with Bloom's lover Prince Sky!

Their evil plan is to conquer the Magical Dimension getting ever so close to their success that this time they shall succeed once and for all! But to the save the Prince, Bloom must count on her friend's like never before, her and the Winx and the small Selkie will go together to defeat Tritannus, the Trix and Politea for good!

But can they do it? What will happen if they fail to save and restore the balance to the Infinite Ocean and Sky's life? Magic, transformations, and an ancient magical mystery will unfold with the Winx as they are more united than ever in this all new adventure! Rainbow's successful TV series Winx Club will be releasing it's seventh season all in 2D in 2015 with the fairies transforming into another talent this one animal talent! The season is said to be like this "Each fairy animal has a special talent, necessary for the balance of the Magic Universe. The Winx will discover this, while facing two new dreadful villains and getting new amazing transformations along their journey!"
