Japanese trauma techno rock group URBANGARDE has revealed the details of their new single, “Akumade Akuma”, the band’s first non-album music release in over four years.

Band leader Temma Matsunaga declared the mission of the new song, which will be released at the beginning of the year.

“This is URBANGARDE. We’re releasing a single after 4 and half years. Surprisingly, during the last few years that we didn’t release any singles, humankind has gone extinct. The era of social media has dissociated human lives and divided them into angels (tenshi) and devils (akuma)…To those of you who used to be human, to those who live insecure days like ghosts, We will show your true shape through music. You are devils to the very end.”

Earlier this year, URBANGARDE collaborated with popular Japanese photographer Yuki Aoyama to produce a special collection of photos and poems titled “Schoolgirl Trauma”. The band also released the limited-edition, live show-only CD titled Showa 91, the music video "Femme Fata Fantasy", and the theme song “Kiss Me Kirei Me” for the NHK program “Let’s Tensai Terebi-kun”.

URBANGARDE's striking new promotion image for “Akumade Akuma” was shot during their photo sessions for this year’s “URBANGARDExTRMN” photo book, which captured the band members in gorgeous, colorful costumes and androgynous makeup. The single, due for release January 4, 2017, will come with a variety of bonuses at local Japanese retailers, including:

Tower Records bonus:
DVD “Gasmask Party”
Complete video of the 60-min-long “Gasmask Party”, a frantic live show from last December’s Showa 90 tour where all performers and audience had to wear gas masks.

Village Vanguard bonus:
Reading CD “School Girl Trauma”
Live CD of the reading performance of the poetry photo book “School Girl Trauma” (released this summer) at Asagaya LOFT-A.

Tom Chaplin, frontman of the 2x Grammy Award Nominated British alt-rock outfit Keane, will be hitting the road on an intimate 15-city North American Tour, kicking off on January 14th in Atlanta, GA and wrapping up on February 3rd in San Francisco, CA. On the upcoming tour, Tom will be sharing new songs off The Wave as well as playing classic Keane-favorites. Ticket on-sale is November 18th. For more information, please visit: www.tomchaplinmusic.com.

Tom Chaplin is set to release his debut solo record, The Wave, in the U.S. on January 13th via Arts & Crafts. Pre-orders are now available HERE.

Tom has assembled an incredible array of musicians, who are all multi-instrumentalists, able to switch what they play as the richly layered songs demand. His band features MD, drummer and programmer Sebastian Sternberg; Rosie Langley on violin, synths and guitar; classically trained pianist and violinist Tobie Tripp; and Beau Holland on guitar, synths and piano.

You may think you know Tom Chaplin. His soaring, emotional voice lay at the center of Keane, the anthemic, multi-million selling British band who scored 5 number one albums in the UK between 2004 and 2013 – including two that landed on the Billboard 200 (Strangeland, No. 17; Perfect Symmetry, No. 7), delivering such unforgettable hits as “Everybody’s Changing,” “Is It Any Wonder” and “Somewhere Only We Know.” But even at the height of his fame, there was a side to the singer hidden from the world. Now, after a three year journey to hell and back, Tom Chaplin returns with his extraordinary solo debut The Wave, a self-penned album revealing the real man behind the songs. It is a journey from utter despair to redemption, love and self-acceptance, told with enormous, emotional pop music. The voice is the same. The songs tell a whole new story.

The Wave is a powerful album of self-destruction and recovery. “I wanted there to be no wall between the truth of my experiences and the listener. I felt that was the place to be. No holds barred,” says Tom. “It is not a concept album but there is a narrative arc, from the depths of despair to a kind of resolution.” Yet it is far from a harrowing listening experience, glittering with the rich melody, anthemic drive and high production values that people have come to expect from Keane.

This is the first time Tom Chaplin has stepped outside of Keane. His unmistakable voice drives all eleven tracks with a range of emotions, never previously scaled. The Wave features eleven incredibly honest and ultimately uplifting songs written by Tom, produced by Matt Hales (Aqualung, Lianne La Havas) and recorded in Pasadena, California and London.

Tom Chaplin’s The Wave will be released in the U.S. on January 13th, 2017.

This is the first video from their upcoming third studio album entitled ‘Secrets’. ‘Falling Away’ takes on the controversial perception of a “value gap” occurring within the music industry while tackling the issue head-on and stressing the importance of subscription-based business models over ad-based streaming, for all creators of music… regardless of genre. Check it out HERE.

Hong Kong alternative rockers, Seasons For Change, have been hard at work recording and writing for their brand new EP "Timeless Collective" featuring newest single "Not Enough". The band got together to discuss said single, new EP, and more!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Long story short, when Kenta was studying in Sydney before, he was fronting a band called 'Arms Attraction'. Their music reached the ears of some locals in Hong Kong and to Kulo. He got in touch with Kenta and that's when they became acquainted. After Kenta (Vocal) settled back in HK, he contacted Kulo (Drums) about starting a band. And through Kulo, found Wan (Bass) and Dennis (Guitar) and later on, Don (Guitar) - who were all already active in the local indie scene in their other bands.

2. What is the origin of the band name?

The origin of the band name comes from the nostalgic experiences of the changing seasons. The memories you remember most can be associated with the environment, the temperature, and the 'taste' of the air at the time, i.e. the season. That nostalgic wave of memories from that season is a reminder of what has changed and what can be changed.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Hong Kong. The indie music scene in Hong Kong is small, but it's growing thanks to the power of social media. Although the music industry is dominated by canto-pop here, there is a growing number of support for independent music.

4. How would you describe your style?

Highly energetic alternative rock fused with some power-pop and JRock elements.

5. What can one expect to hear on your new EP "Timeless Collective"?

Energetic rock music filled with catchy, melodic melodies.

6. Do you have a favorite track off "Timeless Collective"?

SKY. It was the very first song we worked on together as a band.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We are performing at a music festival in Taiwan (Tai Chung) called 'HEARTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL' later in November. Then we have a show in December and January. As for touring, we have nothing planned yet.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We're already in the process of writing and recording for our next record. We hope to be able to get opportunities to perform outside of Hong Kong.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Facebook/YouTube, and via Famined Records you can buy on iTunes/Amazon/GooglePlay and it will be available to stream on Spotify.

Merch: http://found.ee/sfcmerch
iTunes: http://found.ee/YyGPC
Google Play: http://found.ee/mfpZ7
Amazon: http://found.ee/NTryS

10. What is it you'd like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

The melodies and maybe the lyrics that may have been relatable to them.

Save Your Last Breath's style began as a metalcore genre, when first starting out in 2011. Since then so did their style, switching from metalcore to combining along with black metal to create something along the lines of blackened metalcore as their ending result. By using the black metal elements this help them gain additional grip, with the added deathcore riffs played on a higher stance, than other bands were doing within this genre, causing quite a unique mixture of tunes.

That said, Save Your Last Breath would go on to write and record material that would turn into a debut album calling itself "Torn Of Aeon". The album itself running close to 40 minutes with 10 tracks, including an extra so 11 in total, is quite something else. Since the opening number that is "Visions" all the way to "Exitium", the album is flawless. Lots of instrumentals are used since the start until now, having the album be more enjoyable, and perhaps more heavier than first thought.

The rest of the album's tracks 5 through 11, are quite impressive to say the least, one's like "Your Greed", "Aftermath", "Hollow", and "Hell In Me", these alone, really set up this album as a whole. The material is raw and very powerful, intense really, the vocal chords used throughout really stand out, floating above the instrumental parts, while those parts, are standing strong on their own, just making it all fit together more easily, if that makes any sense.

All in all Save Your Last Breath's debut album "Torn Of Aeon", is a solid release, that will surely have these guys going places with ease, let alone no problem for sure.

Fall Out Boy where to begin, way back in 2003, when releasing their debut album "Take This to Your Grave" this was how discovering them, lead me to becoming a fan. After this release, came the rest such as "From Under the Cork Tree" (2005), "Infinity on High" (2007), and "Folie à Deux" (2008), this album was the end of the line for me. While that album had some decent tracks, it was not like the previous albums, let alone nothing like the debut album from way back then. So after this release, the band would then go on a hiatus, pursuing other projects during this time frame. Would Fall Out Boy come back ever again?

Well like every artist or band that says they will never come back during a hiatus or break up, Fall Out Boy did return, along with some live releases in-between, like "Live In Phoenix" a first for the group, being a combination of a live CD and DVD released in 2008. After that the band would indeed come back sometime later, flash forward just a bit to 2012-2013 time and this is when the band would come back, releasing more material, including two albums "Save Rock and Roll" (2013) and "American Beauty/American Psycho" (2015). All that was fine and good but would another live release see the light of day from the good old boys in Fall Out Boy?

Yes it would, in the form of just a live DVD called "The Boys of Zummer Tour: Live in Chicago". A 17-track setlist consisting of songs from the past and present, including one of the earlier tracks off their debut album, called "Saturday" is always included a classic fan favorite. Aside from that the usual material can be seen and heard upon this DVD release including "Dance Dance", "Sugar, We're Goin Down", "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race", "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs", as well as other newer tracks like "I Don't Care", "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)", "Irresistible", "Uma Thurman", to "The Phoenix", to "Young Volcanoes".

Besides the setlist of course, the stage presents was projection, projection, with more projection, a stair case a little one, was used for the band mates to run and jump upon, while the rest were big screens, showcasing various images, from fire, lights of their initials FOB, to other coloring effects, whatever can be seen, was thrown upon those screens.

As far as the crowd of on lookers, it was a sold out crowd for one thing, every inch of the venue being packed in with people, that everyone there was singing along to the lyrics, of most of the songs played. No mosh pit activity could be seen much really, but maybe just a tiny bit of it. Otherwise everyone witnessing their stage presents, was jumping up and down to waving their arms from side to side, to shouting their hearts out.

Everyone that was present was happy to be there, including the band, them giving off quite a good performance, enjoying themselves, and happy to be back in action, since returning from their hiatus a little while ago. All in all, it was a good concert DVD performance, and one that will live up to the first live CD/DVD combination for sure. Pick up this release if you are an overall fan of the guys that are Fall Out Boy.

Alternative rockers Dead Eyes known formerly as Vital Signs, have released a new song and video in the form of a single called "American Nightmare". It was mixed and mastered by Nick Scott, (Attila, I See Stars, Miss May I). The single brings out soothing synths, driving verses and catchy hooks that will surely have listeners memorized. Check out the discussion that was said about this said release and what plans are ahead for these guys. Don't forget to check out the video for "American Nightmare" right HERE.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

We as a band just began but we just released our first music video for our single American Nightmare to much acclaim. The four of us come from a band called Vital Signs, though, which we played together in for a few years.

2. What's the origin of the band's name?

We were going through a rough patch, trying to decide on a name everyone agreed on. We were talking through our band group chat throwing names back and forth. We all came to the decision that we knew our music was to express our outlook towards certain topics, most of which society chooses to overlook. We decided on Dead Eyes because it portrays that which is overlooked by so many.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based out of Lancaster, PA. The music scene is great here! A Scent Like Wolves, Sink In, Minshara, Imperialist, and My Heart to Fear are definitely bands you should be on the lookout for.

4. How would you describe your style?

“You ain’t got no style mothafucka…” -Matheson (Pineapple Express)

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

So far we have released American Nightmare along with our cover of “My House” by PVRIS. If you’ve ever had the privilege of watching Ron Burgundy play jazz flute then you know exactly what to expect of us.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We’ve about 58.6% of the way through recording our debut EP, which we expect to release early spring 2017.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We’ve recently announced our debut show at The Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA on January 6th. As far as touring, I can’t give away any details but we definitely have some plans and hope to hit most of the country next year.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Listen, we have the best plans. People are going to tell you that we don’t have plans but you can’t believe them. The system has been rigged against us, but listen up we won’t let that stop us. We have plans and we will show you those plans when we’ve finished planning them.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/deadeyespa or our YouTube at www.youtube.com/deadeyespa are the best ways to stay up to date with us. We are working on getting our very own website up and running very soon!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

The emotion that it gave them.
