Japanese metal sensations BRIDEAR have released a brand-new music video for ‘Braver Words’, the second single from this year’s epic album Born Again, out now on Psychomanteum Records.
The video accompanies the announcement of a headline tour of Europe in March and April 2025. The ‘Into the World Forever’ tour will power through France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic and the Netherlands before continuing through the UK.

‘Braver Words’, with its intense riffs, powerful vocal hooks, and dazzling twin-guitar solo, is the perfect song for announcing the band’s return to Europe. Lead singer KIMI states: “This song is a celebration of strength and perseverance. The video captures the energy and vibe of not just the song but also our live shows!”

Bassist HARU adds: “This video is a celebration of our live performances, and it’s an invitation for everyone to come see us when we head back overseas in 2025. We can’t wait to see all of our fans in Europe and the UK!”

The ‘Braver Words’ video was filmed in June during the Born Again album release show in front of a packed house in Tokyo, Japan. The new album, produced and mixed by legendary metal producer Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, At the Gates, HammerFall, Dimmu Borgir), was recorded at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden in March of 2024 and has been heralded as a landmark album for Japanese metal and “an instant classic” (Burrn! Magazine, June 2024).

Metal Hammer claimed: “Another triumph [they] have nailed down a sound that is at once quintessentially Japanese and uniquely theirs… marrying NWOBHM and European power-metal with infectious J-Pop choruses”.

The ‘Into the World Forever’ tour kicked off in Australia in October 2024 when BRIDEAR supported metal icons DREAM EVIL before returning to Japan for a run of successful headline shows.

Japanese metal band BRIDEAR have just released their brand new album Born Again via Psychomanteum Records. To celebrate they have also unveiled the spectacular video for their new single ‘CULT’ one of the highlights of the album.
 
The video, which sees two witches waging war for the soul of a willing victim, was created using a mixture of real world and AI technology, and is the perfect accompaniment to the fast-paced, high-energy track, full of guitar pyrotechnics and pummelling rhythms alongside lead singer Kimi’s impassioned vocals.

The new album, Born Again, sees BRIDEAR deliver a mission statement of raw and unapologetic heavy metal brilliance. It is the ultimate showcase of their unique blend of captivating melodies and intense atmosphere, alongside unforgiving no-holds-barred walls of mighty riffs, epic solos and bone crushing drums.
 
The band debuted four of the album’s songs live as part of a release day performance in Tokyo to an ecstatic reaction. Influential magazine BURRN has called the album BRIDEAR’s masterpiece, giving it a score of 90/100, and the band have been featured in all of Japan’s major music titles – so it’s no wonder that the album has shot straight into Japan’s iTunes metal chart at #2!
 
The international press are also raving over the brilliant nature of Born Again with Metal Hammer calling it, “another triumph [they] have nailed down a sound that is at once quintessentially Japanese and uniquely theirs… marrying NWOBHM and European power-metal with infectious J-Pop choruses”.
 
And Kerrang state that it’s “massive” and “a thrilling new chapter”, claiming, “the all-female Fukuoka collective have sharpened their shred-heavy Euro-power metal attack while retaining the flavour of the land of the rising sun… there’s a self-confidence in their big vision… with enough invention and individuality for a few crowd-pleasing twists in the tale”.
 
The quintet from Fukuoka, who originally formed in 2012, have exploded across the metal scene in recent years and for this album they jetted out to Gothenburg, Sweden to record with legendary metal producer Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, At the Gates, HammerFall, Bring Me The Horizon) at Studio Fredman. Nordström claims, “‘Born Again’ is for sure in my Top 5 albums of my career! They are an amazing band and this is a world-class album.”
 
The album features the band’s first ever guest with Dream Evil’s Nick Night providing his high-flying vocals on ‘Die Like This’ which closes the record. And BRIDEAR will be joining Dream Evil as main support in Australia at the end of October, with the first date together in Brisbane on Halloween (Oct 31st 2024).
 
After the run of Australian shows with Dream Evil, BRIDEAR will be embarking on their own huge run of shows around the globe as part of their first-ever world tour. Continuing through the end of 2024 and well into 2025, the tour will bring BRIDEAR to more countries and cities than ever before.

The quintet from Fukuoka, Japan jetted out to Gothenburg, Sweden to record their sixth studio album with the legendary metal producer Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, At the Gates, HammerFall, Bring me the Horizon) at Studio Fredman.

JRock band BRIDEAR went out on tour back in 2022, during which they would record one of their performances, creating what would become their upcoming live album titled "Aegis Of London... Live!". This idea coming from their record company, they thought the time was right, hence forth also being actively for the last 10 years didn't hurt either and showed a document of growth. A couple of the band members talked of this album, fans, shows, and even anime straight out of Japan!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

KIMI: When I formed the band with HARU, we liked the phrase “Dear Bride”. We turned the words around so they flowed into each other. 

2. Why did you want to play the genre that you do?

KIMI: I love many genres of music but hard rock and heavy metal really resonated with me. I loved Helloween, In Flames, and many others. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

KIMI: Not really. I met HARU at a party in Fukuoka (our hometown) and we were in other bands. We had similar ideas so we decided to form an all-female band. Then we found the others. 

4. What has influenced your sound and style?

KIMI: Hard rock and heavy metal of course, but also a lot of the J-rock and and J-pop we listen to. Anime and game music has some influence. 

5. Back in 2022 as a part of the "Decide to Survive Tour" you went and recorded a live album out in London's Boston Music Room, this album titled "Aegis Of London… Live!". So why was this tour the time to record this live album?

KIMI: It was an idea from Setsuzoku Records to capture the energy of our live shows. Also, Bridear has been active for 10 years so it’s a document of growth. The time is also right with the passion of our fans growing every tour and we had such good songs on this album to showcase. 

6. How does this live album "Aegis Of London… Live!" differ from the 2018 DVD release “2018 MARCASITE”?

KIMI: We have grown a lot since then. We have new members and are on a new path internationally. So it differs a lot in showing how our fans overseas are supporting Bridear and how we have grown.

7. Has BRIDEAR had their music featured in any Japanese programming anime, TV, film etc. IF not would you?

KIMI: Our song ‘The Moment’ was on the soundtrack to the anime Kengan Ashura.

8. How would you say you differ from other bands and artists on the scene?

MIKI: We do not mimic the genre. I think we use elements of JPop in our melodies and chord progressions which gives us a different sound and mix with the hard rock and heavy metal. 

9. The band has had it's line-up changes over time, so how do you go about finding a new member that you know clicks with the band and meshes well with your music?

KIMI: We audition and seek the best players. We see how they play the songs in their own way but stay true to the song at the same time. Then of course we play together and feel the chemistry. 

10. Why do you think people should check out your new live album once released? 

KIMI: It’s an amazing capture of a Bridear show. The energy of the audience can’t be denied. They knew they were being recorded and really made it a memorable night. When you listen to the album you feel like you are actually there.

It was mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden. He’s such a famous producer and engineer and we’re honored he worked on the album. If you are a fan of his work (At the Gates, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Dream Evil) then you must hear it.

11. Has BRIDEAR toured across the pond as of the U.S. yet? Would you like too?

KIMI: We would love to one day. I’m sure it will happen. It’s difficult to time it right, schedule it, and of course there is the visa process. It’s difficult but we will finally do it one day. 

12. What do you think of your fans?

KIMI: We love them and appreciate them so much. Without them we would not still be doing this and growing so much all over the world. 

13. What does next year hold for BRIDEAR?

KIMI: We are writing new songs and preparing for a lot of shows in Japan. Of course we hope to see our overseas fans this year too!

Japanese metal band BRIDEAR have released a brand new track and music video, ‘Brave New World Revisited’. The release of the song celebrates and commemorates the band’s return to international touring in September and October for their ‘Into The Dark Forever’ UK and European tour, making them the first Japanese band to perform overseas post-pandemic.

 ‘Brave New World Revisited’ is an 8-minute-long showcase displaying the metallic sonic assault and stunning technical prowess that the band are capable of. The longest composition in their catalogue, the track is brimming with all the characteristics that made their debut international release Bloody Bride so alluring, marrying sincere lyrics with blazing guitars and insatiable pop hooks to highlight their feelings about returning to the live circuit.

 Speaking about the single, bassist Haru shared, “We wanted to make a new song and make the tour a success as the first Japanese band to go on a European tour after the Corona crisis. The composition is the most challenging we have done, and the longest song in our history, but it’s fun to listen to all of the detail and the lyrics convey our feelings during this time.”

 Lead vocalist Kimi added, “Entertainment as a whole is being denounced, but the theme of this song is to raise our voices as one and re-enter a brave new world. We will continue to go forward! Please come to see us and support us as we come back overseas and revisit this brave new world!”

Japanese metal band BRIDEAR have announced their ‘Into The Dark Forever’ tour, taking place in September and October this year. The tour sees them travel across Europe before finishing the tour with four dates in the UK, making their live debut in Sweden and Scotland along the way.
