Emo alternatives A RIVER RUNS THRU IT formed just a couple of years ago, releasing a couple of singles to their namesake. Coming aside from those singles, will be the band's debut full-length album, with the band being active as possible with playing shows and touring across the North West for starters come the summer! The band goes on to talk more about their music, energy and aggression towards the creativity behind all of it.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

A River Runs Thru it started about two years ago. It consists of Milan Garcia-guitars, Joey Smith (my brother)- Guitars, Cody Pederson- Bass, and Michael Smith (myself) - vocals. We used to have a drummer (Nathan Haines) but he had to leave due to other things going on his life unfortunately. Currently we have Kayleigh Schutte of Subtle Moments filling in for drums and Anthony Vesco of Hibernator recorded the drums for our new single "I've Got A Bad Feeling". Milan, Joey, and I had always been close childhood friends growing up. We all shared a strong common interest that drove the bond we've made together and that was music naturally. Milan and joey went to high school with Cody Pederson and the three grew close over the years so i met Cody through those two. Cody had actually never even played bass before he joined the band but he picked it up so fast we had to keep him. I mean really it's a pretty simple history with the band; we all grew up together, and we always dreamed of creating something special together. So one day we were like fuck it let's jam some shit until something we like comes out.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The band is actually named after the movie "A River Runs Through It". the movie is about two brothers growing up in Missourian, MT and the film just shows all the ups and downs those two brothers went through as they progressed through the trials of life into adulthood. Our band is based out of Montana so that movie has a special place in our hearts which led to the decision to name the project after it.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Our band is based out of Butte, MT. The music scene here definitely has its ups and downs but the local bands that we share this scene with are like family to us. We all help each other out and it’s really a blessing to have other bands to work with that are so supportive of each other. I think people should definitely check out some of these bands! I would recommend taking a look at:

Subtle Moments
Hibernator
Shellshock lullaby

All of us have worked with these groups over the years and it really has been amazing.

4. How would you describe your style?

Oh man this question always gets us for sure. We really dip our hands in quite a few different genres. It's kind of a mixture of post-hardcore, hardcore, pop-punk, and emo. We have so many different bands that have given us inspiration over the years like Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Underoath, The Wonder Years, Everytime I Die, and Brand New. Plus so many more I'm not thinking of at the moment.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

So far we have released two singles: "Cody" and "I've Got A Bad Feeling". As far as what to expect, We always write about the different problems we face in life. we want to give people something they can relate to. If a song we write helps someone out of that tough time then we feel the job has been
done. Expect songs that people can have fun and relate to from a group of friends that just enjoy playing those songs.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We are currently writing a full 8-10 song album that will be recorded in the coming months with Kevin Newland. So we will have a lot more releases being prepared soon. I think a lot of people will enjoy these songs we all have really put our hearts into this writing process.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We plan to stay as active as possible. We will be doing some touring in the North West this summer and we are always looking for new places to play and are willing to jump on any show anyone is willing to have us on.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We just plan to stay as active as possible. there have been times where it seems like we just are not doing a lot and as a band you should always be looking at your next move or it just doesn't go anywhere. We want to reach out and play as much as we can in the coming years. As long as we can get out there and connect with new people and progress together as a group things will fall into place.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We are on a lot of streaming sites such as Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, Bandcamp, and Reverbnation. and we will be launching our website for web orders on merch ASAP. You will be able to find the website posted on all of our social media accounts.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Just remember that we put work into each song with as much love and care for the listener as possible. These songs belong to the listener. Without them we could never hope to achieve a thing. Thanks for listening and I hope these songs end up meaning as much to you as they do to us.

Being known previously as BlaK, for quite sometime actually. The band came to the realization that a variety of bands would use this same name as well. So a change would occur and the band would now be called BlaK Sunday releasing an all new EP, taking the "Self-Titled" approach with accompanying single track titled "Our War". The lead single track has that powerful punch of attitude and straight on aggression if not progressiveness as well. The band combines the likes of deathrock, post punk, and gothic rock, to create a style that is original. It would sound slightly like The Misfits crossed with Dommin. The other tracks off this EP release like "Chaos Lover", and "She", showcase this slight similarity having that edgy and angst of energy that has a lot of spunk to it. A lot of the other tracks included are "live" material tracks one being "Chaos Lover", with the other being one called "Midnight". Hearing such tracks in the live perspective creates a vibration that is truly all about the hype. The tone of the music just becomes more out there, give or take just lots of momentum really. The whole circle of this EP is just filled to the brim with non-stop energy. BlaK Sunday may not be who they once were known beforehand, but this time around they will be remembered for a new beginning that will carry their music creativity even further than ever before, due to this chance of pace.

NoTeVaGustar or NTVG for short, have been on the celebration trip of 25 years for a while now. Releasing an all new album to boot, called "Other Songs", a lot of their classic works of songs, and those that may not get noticed so well, have been reinterpreted within this album of a release. Take an intimate way of using acoustic instrumentation as the base structure and you get an album that is fundamental at all costs and purely grounded. Such very few of the tracks off this album would include the like as "Comodin", "Al Vacio", "Chau", "Clara", and "Poco", to say some of the lot. Each one being original and really interesting to say the least. These playing off as being a lot like one another but very original as well. The energy of the music is catching and upbeat at all times of play. In other words, these tracks along with the rest, just keep the music in check and play at all times. Vocals and instruments are well played out, making the music soar, sounding very powerful and bracing at times. This Latin style of rock music is crafty yet very fun. The songs feel as a refresher upon hearing them, just taking in all the angst and performance tactics that make them stick.

Leiva is upon his fourth album to date titled "Nuclear". This solo artist takes upon the genres that are pop rock with Latin influences. A lot of his tracks include some that have gotten a spread said about then, like "Do Not Worry About Me", "Wolves", "In Space", and the title track "Nuclear". Each of these combine that pop rock essence with Latin influence and vocal use, that really makes the music its own identity of pureness. The energy of the music really gives way, creating this tone that brims along the lines of other Latin solo artists and acts alike. Leiva's style is not him as being such a great instrumentalist but a vocalist too. Each of these tracks is truly different and unique from another, which is very much true in all accounts of the material off "Nuclear". Some may sound similar in ways but only ever so slightly at times really. It's the way of the actual music that makes it work so lovingly at times. You just never get bored with it but enjoy it more and more with each play through. Same has to go for the rest of the material off this album Leiva likes to call "Nuclear".

For the next 30 minutes, solo artist Eljuri will captivate you with her reggaeton style of music that is truly out of this world. Take for instance "Resiste", this album's title track and first single causes such an uproar of acceptance that many discusses it's meaning, the music, and so much more surrounding it.

Like take how Eljuri goes into discussion about the lead track here called “Resiste”, she goes on saying how the root of the problem is the behavior of the people who are in power. Something along those, going on more so to say how she encourages us to persist against that fear and hatred that is being spread by the corruption happening now. Her reggae styling of music is not just the one outsourced genre but it meets a funky tone of style as well.

Not only does “Resiste”, tend to stand out the most off this album in itself called “Resiste”, but other tracks off this release do some standing on their own as well. “Bangbang”, “Una Ola”, and “Empuja”, are a few, that keep this tone that is very much funky reggae but mixed in with some ska similarities of music too. The use of horns, guitars, drums, and bass lines all connect so willingly, it works very well in her favor. Music is upbeat in tone, catchy, and just lots of fun when listening in.

“Resiste”, is for the most part, just a fun, outgoing time of an album, that Eljuri has created that really sends out, so many meaning’s and messages, within her lyrics and the music itself, that it becomes irresistible at times.

KRANTZ is Jeffrey Krantz and his band, whom bring together a combination of genres and uniqueness unlike any other band out there. They bring forth a psychedelic, pop, rock edginess that has a retro style of influence with a modern day touch, to create something that is as said prior unique. With this said of course, comes new music expected this summer and other plans in the current making as well. Find out what the band had to say about themselves and their music making process of creativity.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Well I usually am the lead guitar player of whatever band I’m in, but I’ve always been a primary songwriter too. In early 2016 I was getting fed up not being able to find a band I wanted to join, so I just decided I’d start one of my own. I just started recording songs on my own, and using friends who played instruments that I couldn’t. These songs eventually became the first self titled “Krantz” album released in October of 2016. I then grabbed a few buddies to form a band to start playing live. My keys player, Tee, has been with me since the beginning ,and our drummer, Adrian, not long after that.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

It’s actually just my last name. I hate thinking of band names, and I always thought my last name sounded cool, so I figured it’d be a good representation of myself, but still be able to be viewed as a band name, not a solo artist.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based out of Nashville, TN. It’s definitely an interesting scene here. Lots of music all over the place. Of course you have your country stuff, but there’s also quite a few rock bands. I like "Them Dirty Roses" and "The Tip" are good friends of mine. Also really close with "The Wildfeathers" who do kind of an alt country type thing.

4. How would you describe your style?

Alternative pop rock like think Weezer meets T Rex.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have the first self-titled "Krantz" album, followed in 2018 by "the Pennock Tapes" EP, and our new album "Misty Morning Dew" will be out this summer. Expect to get some songs stuck in your head.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yup, first single, "Misty Morning Dew" from the album of the same name will be released here in a couple weeks.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We play here in Nashville usually every other month or so, but we hit the road quite frequently. Gonna be out for a couple weeks in the Midwest here in the states starting June 27th.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

To keep releasing music and to tour Europe is at the top of my list!

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Krantzmusic.com has links to everything, but we’re all over social media @krantzmusic or you can find us on Spotify, Apple Music, and all the streaming services.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Most of our music is pretty happy sounding, so let’s just smile and love your neighbor as you’re jammin out to some Krantz tunes!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

A long time ago in the beginning there was chaos ... Haha and who is interested in it? The story is
long and complicated. The most important thing in this story is the fact that Daray, a drummer from
Dimmu Borgir, heard something unusual in my music. And so we create today, and we will create.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Its easy. Everyone who listen Metal knows that the band Death have a great album - Symbolic. Name
of my band was "created" with Charles. He want to call us Symbolic, I added al. So we are...

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local
bands you could recommend?

We are from Poland. Metal from our country is valued over the whole world.

4. How would you describe your style?

Symbolical is playing Mystic Death Metal. Its a weight combined with pain and despair. Depression harmonizing with love. A scream of death bouncing off the empty walls.

Two albums. "Collapse in Agony" and "Allegory of Death"! You can expect from us a lot of feelings mixed with heavy playing. Not for Metalheads only!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

I have written demo of full alum a one EP.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Swedish metallers MY DARK RIFT have an all new single out and about, with even more newer music on the way! But that's not all, with releasing more music, playing live shows and the like, they want to evolve into an even further type of act, that becomes something epic and unstoppable! Discover how the band goes into chatter about all of this and more.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

We are a newly formed five-piece metal band from Stockholm, Sweden. Some of us played together in other bands before we formed My Dark Rift. This band actually started out as a ”fun side project” before it evolved into what it is today. We decided to go all-in when we realized that the songs we created actually kicked some serious ass.

The band consists of vocalist David Sundbom (ex-Skiller), guitarists Kristoffer Folin (Plan Three) and David Szücs (Degradead), bassist Mattias Lekborn (Furiam) and drummer Kenneth Holborn (ex-Degradead).

All songs are written by all of us together and later recorded, mixed and produced by our guitarist Kristoffer Folin at Purple Skull Music (Bad Wolves, Sonic Syndicate, Degradead, Ryan Roxie).

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The name My Dark Rift came from the astronomical phenomenon known as the Great Rift (or sometimes the Dark Rift) the idea was to point out the connection between both the intimate scars that we carry in our human souls as well as the vastness of the rifts that runs straight through our galaxy. So there’s a deeper meaning behind the name AND it sounds pretty wicked.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based out of Stockholm, Sweden, and the metal scene here is on fire. We have so many cool metal and hard rock bands over here - Amon Amarth, Candlemass, Dark Funeral, Degradead, Entombed, Katatonia, Therion and Tiamat to name a few..

4. How would you describe your style?

It’s definitely some kind of metal, but we try our best not to limit ourselves to any specific sub-genre. We like to take bits and pieces from all heavier genres and stitch them together into new catchy little monsters.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We released our debut single "Make Me Stronger" earlier this year (February 22) and it was a real success - We got over 70.000 spins on Spotify in less than two months, and it placed #1 on the Swedish iTunes "All Genres" Chart. So that was really awesome!

We recently released our second single "Devil’s Thunder", and we are promoting it as hard as we can right now. You should check it out in case you missed it!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Absolutely! Our third single will be released later this summer, followed by an EP in September. So we have many great things coming your way!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Yes, we will start playing shows after the summer. Right now our main focus is to release and promote kick-ass music so that people will actually get interested and come to see us play live. That’s the evil genius plan.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We plan to write and release more songs, start playing live shows, and hopefully evolve even further into something epic and unstoppable. We’re not in a hurry, so we can grow in a slow and steady pace.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can find our music on all popular music streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and Deezer. We will also start selling a limited edition EP once it’s released later this year. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for release dates and pre-order information.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

The way they smiled when they realized that they just heard the most epic shit ever made. :)

Ok, let’s get a little more serious.. We’d like our listeners to appreciate that we’re not afraid to explore different nuances within the metal and hard rock arena. Every new song we release will be slightly different, from a genre perspective, and we hope that our listeners will enjoy that.

Where to begin with an act such as Deicide. Being death metal and active for over 30 years, with twelve albums under their belts, their twelfth album "Overtures of Blasphemy" being just released and pleasing metalheads alike. The band would of course go out on tour, promoting said release, with a bill unlike any before. This was a strict death metal based touring trek, not with some acts you may think of but quite close. Rounding out the line-up for tonight's events at Los Angeles venue 1720, a warehousing establishment, held forth an all age range of individuals, most if not all dressed in black! But that's not all because the line-up was heavy as possible, including acts such as The Absence, Jungle Rot, Origin and Deicide!

The Absence kicked off the night, performing a 20 minute setlist that consisted with them interacting with the crowd, getting everyone pumped up for the rest of the nights acts. Throughout their performance, fans got rowdy in the pit, while others stood back and enjoyed the tunes, that were catchy and fast hitting with pure heaviness. Surely their presents of performance tactics made their set really eye worthy of style and sound that was death metal done on their behalf.

The Absence

Up next was Jungle Rot, who erupted the stage, getting everyone in eye shot really roughed up. All there were consistently moving throughout the floor especially in the mosh pit. Like literally everyone who was on the surrounding’s of the pit, were involved within it, whether they just standing there pushing and shoving everyone else, or them falling alongside those who kept falling down. Everyone else just getting into the energy of all of it really. Jungle Rot keeping that energy of themselves and the crowd in high ranges, their performance being kept heavy and raw in tone. Interactions with the crowd being nothing but angst and pride. Jungle Rot bringing a new edge to the death metal genre, the jungle version.

Jungle Rot:

Following them was Origin, whose death metal styling was truly original. One of the most noted effects done by them, was their vocalist constantly voicing his opinion with the crowd of on lookers. Telling everyone to bang their heads, crowd surf the audience, to the mosh pit of shovers and pushers to get crazy! Non-stop happening’s took place during their set-up. The band performing nothing but grace, heaviness and pure on elegance. Moving so much was everyone around, no matter which way you looked, you got the vibrations instantly, that kept flowing until the last song was sung.

Concluding the night would be the death metal legends of all Deicide. Main man Glen Benton hitting 50, still has it going on, with the band after 30 years strong. Twelve albums down, nothing would prevent the madness that would unravel. Once they had everything in gear, Deicide would play off for the next good hour or so, playing a lot of the classic tracks, and newer tracks of material. This time though, the crowd would be insanely intense. If not at the barricade in the front, to those in the very back, everyone would be either pushed together, crowd surfing atop one another, or falling or pushing one another whichever way available. It was literal chaos throughout their entire performance. Deicide being very fierce with their performance, never breaking at all, but going forward with each song played, the crowd interacted with glee. Some of the tracks played would include such like “Dead By Dawn”, “Scars of the Crucifix”, and “Bible Basher”.

Deicide:

When the band was wrapping up their setlist, fans were shouting for more, encouraging an encore to take place. But once the band had played their final song of the night, an encore would not take place, as many were heading out the entrance doors, others hurrying to buy last minute merchandise or grabbing a late night drink. Deicide were done for the night, but ended on a high end note, of the death metal genre.

SETLIST:

1. Dead by Dawn
2. When Satan Rules His World
3. Scars of the Crucifix
4. Crawled From the Shadows
5. They Are the Children of the Underworld
6. One With Satan

8. Defying the Sacred
9. Serpents of the Light
10. Seal the Tomb Below
11. Oblivious to Evil
12. Excommunicated
13. Dead but Dreaming
14. In the Minds of Evil
15. Sacrificial Suicide
16. Homage for Satan

THE LAST CELL takes on progressive metal and fusion rock to create a style that is truly original and rather unique. Having released a couple of EP's thus far with another on the way, shows are to follow soon enough with way more underway! A member of the band goes into discussion about all of these material matters and more.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

I always wanted to have my own thing where I can write everything. So I started The Last Cell as my solo project. 2018 I released my first EP "Nautilus". Florian Lukas, a dear friend and amazing bassist played the bass on both records and became an irreplaceable part of my live setup.

In 2019 I had the luck to meet Robin Weber, a young drummer / multi-instrumentalist that just amazed us with his playing and work attitude. From there on the live set-up was complete. The first gig was amazing, as we really have a lot of fun on stage and the fact that I can totally trust both guys. They let me do my thing and for that I am super grateful.

Last month I released my second EP called "Continental Drift" and now we are rehearsing for upcoming gigs. Exciting!

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

It just made sense for me.The name to me carries everything I want to convey with my music. I just love science and nature. That is also basically the main theme of it. Its the story of somehow everything from the origin of existence, the fight of survival to the point where the last cell will perish and thus concluding the end of the thing we call life.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are from Austria / Vienna but basically grew up in a different part of Austria. The scene in Vienna is really supporting to each other and there are a lot of truly enthusiastic people working on great music. Bands like : Thus I End, Call The Mothership, Their Dogs were Astronauts, Solid Sky, Crimson Mind and many more. And that’s just the metal/rock part of it. I keep finding more and more talented people in Vienna. I just love this city.

4. How would you describe your style?

I think I found my style when I stopped to think what kind of music I wanna make and just treated every idea I have as a part of it. That’s why it sometimes for example its really melodic turning into something heavy then back to something beautiful and so on. It progresses through a lot of
emotions. The tools I use are djenty, proggy, shreddy and jazzy I guess ? But don’t listen to me – I am just a fool.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Two EPs: "Nautilus" and "Continental Drift" and two Singles : "We The People" and "Myra". Expect epic melodies and harsh rhythms.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Yes – I am already working on EP #3!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We will play two shows at the end of June, with even more gigs to follow.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

I want to get my music all around the world and I hope that I will get the chance to share the stage with a lot of musicians.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to my stuff on every major streaming platform like Spotify, iTunes, Google Play Music, Tidal etc. If you want to support me you can also buy the EP’s on thelastcell.bandcamp.com so I can buy myself food and continue to work on my music.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

The way the emotions of the parts change between each other.

Haze Of Summer has released a follow-up album release titled "Stuzha". This being the follow-up to 2017's previous album "Znoi". But the difference between the two is not just the all new material but the presentation, for "Stuzha", is not only provided with the digital release as the other releases but comes with a shall we say "official full album video" release as well. Haze Of Summer dabbing into what they consider their genre of music being "hipster black metal".

With that said, "Stuzha", is very instrumental at times, especially the accompanying full album video version, showcasing a variety of sorts of music videos, telling a story with live segments of the band themselves. Each one of the tracks depicting whats happening within the story telling, for instance opening number "September (Anno 1602)", is very mellow yet intense as well. The energy given is forced yet simplified provided it has angst that makes the music heavier than expected at times. Whilst other tracks like follow-up track "October (Old Mornings Dawn)", has an energy that is very in-depth yet high ranked in tone. The melodies of the instruments creating this passage of tone, that allows for the vocalization from both tracks to be very intensified yet dense.

Like the music crafts together this momentum that blasts altogether developing this vision that is fun yet heavy at the same times. The rest of the tracks off this "Stuzha" release, are more month based titled such as "November", and "December" featuring a guest spot from Summer of Haze, the other tracks titled "January" with another guest spot from Zmey and the last track titled "February". Each of which, consisting of a tone more or less, similar in style but still heavy throughout. It’s as if the tracks together create that storyline mentioned prior, except with each track following suit, it makes the music in a deeper meaning, having the material be fresh yet still turning back to the heaviness and even crafting a drift of edgy as well.

As a whole “Stuzha”, is perhaps more grounded showing a growth if you will than anything else. Music is very in tone with the meaning of the material behind it all really. It creates this flow that just has delight in its presentation. Surely Haze of Summer being a lot like other acts such as Children Of Bodom crossed with Within Temptation. If you like heavy metal with a dash of black metal then Haze Of Summer’s “Stuzha” is the one to get your heaviness in its right mind set.

Groovy thrashers Hollowed have a debut EP out titled "Shattered". The 5-track release is a diverse time with influences that range well. Take the 80's old school era of heavy metal with the modernized time that is thrash and death metal and you end up with tracks like "Slave Becomes A King", along with others like "Sick Society", "Anxiety" and "These Scars". Each one of these tracks is nothing but brutality from start to finish. The heaviness from the guitars and drums just creates the energy flowing throughout these song selections chosen. Vocalization provided makes the material even more edgy crafting together this mentality that just screams intensity. Altogether the material just packs it in, making this fistful of goodness that never disappoints. In fact, “Shattered” as an EP just builds upon the material, mastering this energy that  is never ending really. You get the vibes of Exodus mixed with some Slayer and Warbringer elements that really sticks. Hollowed being a modern act with elements of metal that works in their favor, at all costs, because an EP like “Shattered” just bursts with all the heavy!

Energetic alternative pop punk emo group WISHING WOLF will release their debut album "Violent Fire". Releasing a single off it titled "Closer" with much more music to follow soon. For now though, the band talks of these releases and what the future holds.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Most of us met in college initially, however the band all got together through a Facebook post made by Danny. I (Kyle) didn't know anyone and was tagged by my close friend, this friend was Charley, Moodie's girlfriend.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The origin of the name came from Danny's old band, they had an EP called "A Wolf With a Wish", and the name stuck with him from there.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based in Kettering Northamptonshire. The scene as a whole is definitely on the up, when we started going out there was maybe a gig every month at best. Now there's something every night of the weekend. Pop punk in particular is relatively popular at the minute, which keeps us very busy. I'd definitely recommend a band called Thrift Street from Northampton we've worked very close with them and they're all lovely dudes.

4. How would you describe your style?

We find it hard to categorize our style, I think we'd say were an Emo/Alternative rock band. However we take a lot influences from prog rock, metal and pop punk.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

So far we have released our first EP "True Eyes", as well as this we released a single for our song "As Long As You're Here Tonight" both of these can be found on Spotify and apple music. At the moment we are currently in the middle of releasing singles from our new album "Violet Fire". Single 1 "Closer", can be found on YouTube and soundcloud. "Violet Fire" will be released 29th of may on all platforms.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We have loads coming up for the release of the album, were all very much looking forward these shows. We've decided to make them the biggest we've done yet ramping up our performances massively. On June 1st we'll be playing our album release show in our home town at The Prince Of Wales with our buds in Get Your Head Straight. Following this were playing the 8th supporting Slackrr.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

I think we just want to keep doing what were doing, so far we've made so many friends on our travels and wed like to take that to the next level with potentially a tour. I think musically we want to do our best to experiment with lots of different sounds. Were all inspired by something different and when we put our heads together who knows what the results will be. Album 2 could be metal or it could be jazz only time will tell!

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Our stuff is available absolutely everywhere! Spotify, Apple Music, Souncloud. Our music videos are all on our YouTube channel, however if you'd like to support just a little more we have our merch at;

https://wishingwolf.bigcartel.com.
https://www.facebook.com/WishingWolfUK/.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We would like people to remember the good old days of emo, we want to remind people of the sounds of the 2000's. Bands like My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco and Taking Back Sunday all have a special place in our hearts and we feel it's about time we all embraced it. We also want people notice the spin we've put on a well loved genre.

"Be Brave", would be the first single taken from her forthcoming and seventh album to her namesake Jasmine Cain, titled merely "Seven". The album’s title having an open discussion to why it is called as such. The single brings her known vocalization and bass line that has been trademarked for sometime, that this rocker is one not to be forgotten about. Her style is close to being a lot like Halestorm meets some elements of Heart and Whitesnake, if not other acts like In This Moment, The Letter Black and Stitched Up Heart.

Aside from this single though, comes other memorable tracks “Long Shot”, “Powers”, “Are You Ready”, “Ghost”, and “Hurt”. These tracks being the ranger bearers off this release. For instance, take "Ghost", the track alone really showcases the incredibility that is range with Jasmine Cain as a vocalist, her bass structure just being the back pedal to the dominance that is her presences as a musician. The other tracks mentioned like “Are You Ready”, and “Hurt”, bring forth this more in-depth feeling of emotions, melody and overall force that is truly unstoppable at times, it's reckoning needed to be messed with to get the music appointed towards as far as the sound and meaning.

“Are You Ready”, brings this momentum like “Long Shot” and Powers” does within their set-ups. The melodic noise is heavy duty, yet well played. You get this ideal concept of power, wholesome energy that never wants to back down. It’s a constant pressure that makes the music rage at all costs. Jasmine Cain’s vocal chords again being very in-tune with the bass and all else, drums and guitar work performed by her two other members, as this being a trio act, it’s one who stands out, along with many other successors who have done the trio card of band member bands like Calabrese,  Alakline Trio and Green Day.

"Let It Go", "Burnout", and the rest of the tracks off this release that come with it, are along the same similarities as the one's already briefed here. Same type of formula that keeps the music in tune and check upon listening in to it really. If you like hard and heavy rock n' roll, then Jasmine Cain brings it, with all she can upon this album called "Seven". It taking three years to come together, it was well worth the long wait, it's an album of sound that pays off in every which way, each of the tracks sounds. You being disappointed will not even be thought of after hearing it played through from start to finish.

For the longest time now, coffee has been one, if not the most recognizable liquids of consumption on this very planet. Thus, many in today’s day and age drink coffee, whether it’d be for breakfast or any hours of their daily lives, as there are numerous coffee shops in and around every street corner. With this craze of the so called drink, came numerous individuals ranging from musicians, to sell the substance at their own dismay, including alternative, hard rock, pop rocker Jasmine Cain.

Her coffee brews coming in three flavor choices, with a fourth option being the case of sampler packets. The first would be Jasmine Cain’s Coffin Coffee, then Jasmine Cain’s Suicide Blonde with Jasmine Cain’s Whiskey Kiss Coffee as the current third and final choice of an offering. Believe it or not though, the Whiskey Kiss Coffee sells on her online shop for $15.00 while the other two coffee’s go for $20.00. The coffee samplers being the lowest offering at $5.00!

After an in-person interview gone wrong, due to some technical difficulties, the conversation which did go over well, ended with Jasmine handing off a  grounded brew bag of a large sized amount. The two options available on the website lists a “ground” and “whole bean” option. Receiving the bag of coffee blend was a delight, as trying it would be an experiencing review indeed.

Once with the second flavor choice at hand “Suicide Blonde”, the grounded blend would be tossed into your average run of the mill electric coffee maker, heated accordingly to the standard time frame of 5-10 minutes or so, then once ready to be served, add your sugar and creamer if not milk, whichever fancy’s your liking, as all would be stirred well, tasting it would be well….

Shall we say, delicious! The flavor of what is likely vanilla beans, just hits the spot once it hits the taste buds, sending a soothing yet warmth inside your body. Drinking a single cup of the stuff, really keeps the smile upon your face afterwards. “Suicide Blonde”, just provides this flavor-fulfillment really. It’s sweet yet tame, has some angst to it, that makes you wanting more!

Surely, the other flavors within this batch of a trio, would likely do this one justice, at if not possibly being better perhaps? It is also duly noted that according to Jasmine Cain herself, more coffee flavors of blend, will be coming soon enough. So much more to choose from, that any coffee drinker, should be left bold, without bitterness, if not being burnt out of the stuff first!

Bassist extraordinaire Jasmine Cain has released an all new single and it's accompanying album both out now! "Be Brave", comes off her album titled "Seven", say what you will about the title choice, but the whole entirety of this release, has been wrapped around release parties, showcases, and much more, Jasmine Cain has no intention of stopping! Find out all that was said from Jasmine Cain herself, about this content and even details of her own coffee line that is brewing with excellence below!

1. Let's talk about your latest single called "Be Brave", it's said to be about your best friend Paige Logan, why her, does she know?

JC: It was inspired by my best friend and co-writer, Paige Logan. She helped me write this song, so she is well aware of what the song means to me and how it was inspired. I am surrounded by some very strong women in my circle.

2. "Be Brave" comes off your seventh album to date, titled "Seven", so was this title chosen as it's the seventh album or because of the phase of "Lucky 7" or a mix of the two or it has a whole another meaning?

JC: My lucky number is 7, but really the concept for the title of this album is not only because this is my 7th album, but it is also a number of completion as well as the 7th chakra of opening your mind to broaden your thoughts. I took a deeper approach at this record musically and took a chance into a territory I was unfamiliar with. In the end, I feel it paid off. On the 8th day, I rested.

3. Sitting back and looking at you releasing your seventh album this summer, did you ever think that Jasmine Cain would have gotten this far with this career choice as a musician?

JC: Jasmine Cain exists for the sole purpose of creating music. If there was no music career, there would be no Jasmine Cain. I'm always happy about the things I have accomplished. I will always be satisfied with my achievements.

4. For the album's release will be not one, but two album release parties, one of which is dedicated to the fan holiday May the 4th Be With You, with a whole decked out Stars Wars set-up, why go this route with this release?

JC: I wanted to give people in our hometown of Nashville a chance to get their hands on the album before it was released and we were touring. I rarely get to perform in my home base and so we wanted to throw this party just for them.

5. As you are out and about promoting said album, how has the promotional been received, playing shows, media, and what not taken it all in with the good and the bad if any?

JC: There have been a few reviews in advance of the album release and so far, all of them are positive. Most picked up on how different this album was from my previous records and were happy that I grew as a musician without compromising the integrity of the lyrical content.

6. How about after the release of this album, what else do you have lined-up for this year that can be expected?

JC: We will be touring very hard this summer in support of the new album. We have over 150 shows lined up.

 7. Can you disclose the details as to how the idea of having your own java came about and why go with such titles as "Coffin Coffee", "Suicide Blonde Coffee" and the "Whiskey Kiss Coffee”?

JC: We perform quite a few festivals and many times a good cup of coffee isn't possible with the vendors that were set up. Being that coffee is my life blood, I needed to have it with me always. I'm working as the business manager, tour manager, and booking agent by day and rock performer by night. I need coffee. We decided to start our own blends and keep them with us at all time. It really just makes our lives more pleasant out on the road. Nothing screws up my day worse than a shit cup of coffee.

8. Will this trio be the solid and only choices available or will more varieties become available?

JC: We are constantly evolving. There are 3 blends currently, but we are experimenting with a red wine cask and perhaps a chocolate concoction for this winter.

9. So what is it about the drink of coffee, that is so appealing among the music community, to sell within their other merchandise selections?

JC: We have to drink coffee to stay awake. Nobody wants to spend their day in the hangover land of last night's show. I'm pretty sure that's why so many musicians are carrying their own blend of coffee.

10. Would you like to add on anything more?

JC: ]New album "SEVEN" drops NOW. Buy it...it's good. That's all!
