Japanese superstars MAN WITH A MISSION have released their brand new single ‘Against The Kings And Gods’ via Sony Music Japan/Century Media.
 
The powerful track finds the half-man, half-wolf collective embarking down a darker sonic path as bold metal riffs join dark biting verses among dramatic choruses and breakdowns. ‘Against The Kings And Gods’ sees MAN WITH A MISSION thriving in a heavy uprising, delivering a cinematic epic of apocalyptic beauty.
 
Regarding the new single songwriter, guitarist, vocalist and rapper Jean-Ken Johnny says, “What sparked this song was the desire to create something, both in sound and in lyrics, that we had never really attempted before, either as a band or personally.
In shaping a dark, heavy, and majestic track, I chose mythology as the motif, envisioning the image of a human facing supernatural beings.
 
Even in the real world, we all experience days of struggling against overwhelming powers and the impermanence of life.  We hope that those who listen to this song can find themselves within its story-like world, and that it awakens a spirit and strength that refuse to yield to anything or anyone. We hope you enjoy “Against The Kings And Gods.”
 
The new single comes ahead of a brand new vinyl and CD release titled XV EP Across The Globe out September 19th 2025.

Japanese superstars MAN WITH A MISSION have announced the Australian rock band Hands Like Houses as support for their forthcoming HOWLING ACROSS THE WORLD UK & European tour dates for October 2025.
 
The tour starts with three UK shows, kicking off at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on October 2nd, they will then play Manchester O2 Ritz (3rd) and Birmingham XOYO (5th) before heading off across Europe for 10 dates. Tickets are available to purchase now here. New VIP upgrades for each date on the tour will be available to purchase now!
 
The tour marks the 15th anniversary of the half man, half wolf rock phenomenon MAN WITH A MISSION and the band kicked off the celebrations with the release of their new XV EP in March 2025.
 
The EP features 12 tracks, including four brand new songs - the heavy ‘Vertigo’, uplifting ‘Circles’, touching rock ballad ‘whispers of the fake’ and lead single ‘REACHING FOR THE SKY’. A taste of their frenzied and feral live shows can also be heard with eight live tracks featuring on their record, captured from their latest ‘Kizuna no Kiseki’ world tour. The live songs on the XV EP were recorded at Pabellón Oeste del Palacio de los Deportes, Mexico City in 2024 with songs pulling from their extensive catalogue of 15 years as a band.

MAN WITH A MISSION have released the video for their new song ‘REACHING FOR THE SKY’, the lead single from their forthcoming XV EP to celebrate their 15th anniversary in 2025. The EP will be released digitally on March 12th via Century Media with a physical release to follow later in 2025.
 
The ‘REACHING FOR THE SKY’ video finds the Japanese superstars delivering an electrifying performance of their new fast-paced alternative rock track. The intensity of the song and the band’s dynamic show conjures lighting storms and dramatic weather changes which lead to both the band and dancer being possessed by its power. The video has been directed by Hidenobu Tanabe who has worked with a number of notable Japanese artists including RADWIMPS, MIYAVI, 9mm Parabellum Bullet and 04 Limited Sazabys among many others.

Japanese superstars MAN WITH A MISSION have announced their new XV EP to celebrate their 15th anniversary in 2025. The EP will be released digitally on March 12th 2025 via Century Media with a physical release to follow later in 2025.

Marking the announcement the half-man, half-wolf collective have released the brand new single ‘REACHING FOR THE SKY’. It is a fast-paced alternative rock track with dynamic anthemic energy featuring propulsive riffs, powerful electronics, an uplifting chorus and a frenzied rap which sees MAN WITH A MISSION making a bold statement to kick off their landmark year.

The super wolves from Japan, MAN WITH A MISSION are back! They have announced international headline tour dates for June/July 2024. The MAN WITH A MISSION North America Tour 2024 “Kizuna no Kiseki” Powered by Crunchyroll  will have 4 headlining shows in the US and Mexico in addition to the previously announced shows with US rock band 311.

The North American tour will include headline shows in New York Irving Plaza (6/25), Chicago House of Blues (6/27), Los Angeles Belasco (7/2), Mexico Pabellon Oeste (7/5).

After Chicago they will join 311 at the historical Red Rocks Amphitheater (6/29) and Denver Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom (6/30).

MAN WITH A MISSION and milet have collaborated on the brand new single ‘Kizuna no Kiseki’ out now via Milan Records/Sony Music. The song is of the opener of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba –Swordsmith Village Arc- and is a powerful pop laced rock track sung in their native tongue. MAN WITH A MISSION and milet have also collaborated on ‘Koi Kogare’, which closes the new series on April 17th 2023.

Regarding ‘Kizuna no Kiseki’, MAN WITH A MISSION guitarist, vocalist and rapper Jean-Ken Johnny says, “We are honoured to be part of the opening track for this extraordinary work Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -Swordsmith Village Arc-, with the diva of the times, milet. We hope you will enjoy our song with the miraculous story of how the characters’ lives cross, spin, and create bonds together.”

Japanese superstars MAN WITH A MISSION have announced their brand new EP Dark Crow, due for release on October 23rd.

To mark the announcement the wolf collective have released their brand new single ’86 Missed Calls feat. Patrick Stump’, which features guest vocals from the Fall Out Boy frontman.

The dark electro-tinged rock track has also been selected as the theme song for the new Japanese feature film Three Nobunagas.

Japanese superstars MAN WITH A MISSION have announced their new album "Chasing the Horizon", due for physical release on August 10th via Century Media. The album is the wolf collective’s fifth in their native Japan, but their first brand new album to be released worldwide.

"Chasing the Horizon", delivers an exciting blend of feral rock energy mixed with rap and electronics. The album features the previously released singles "Take Me Under", "Winding Road", "Freak It! feat. TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA", "My Hero", "Dead End In Tokyo", "Find You" and "Dog Days", which have clocked up multi-million streams across YouTube and Spotify. The global physical edition will also include special bonus tracks to be announced soon.

MAN WITH A MISSION will be performing at Reading & Leeds Festival this summer and have just announced an exclusive UK headline show at The Cathouse, Glasgow on August 23rd.

Japanese superstars MAN WITH A MISSION have shared the video for their new track "Take Me Under". It’s taken from their brand new four-track EP "Take Me Under / Winding Road", out April 20th 2018 through Century Media.

"Take Me Under" is a blistering anthem combining the wolf collective’s exciting blend of driving rock and bright electronics, and is also the theme to the new adaption of the film Inuyashiki. The video sees the band battling the oppressive pigs, with shots of the band performing the track amid city lights cut with intense fight scenes.

Japanese superstars Man With A Mission have released their brand new single and video for "Freak It!" feat. Tokyo Sky Paradise Orchestra’ through Century Media.

The single features the Japanese cross-genre arena stars Tokyo Sky Paradise Orchestra. The collaboration pulls together horns, worldly percussion and arcade-style samples alongside Man With A Mission’s feral blend of rap and rock.

"Freak It!" feat, Tokyo Sky Paradise Orchestra" has been selected as the official song of Japan’s Sunwolves Super Rugby team.

Man With A Mission are one of the most important and loved rock bands in Asia today. They sell out arenas across their homeland and also recently completed sold out headline tours of the UK, Europe and US last year.

Man With A Mission are returning to the UK this month to play an exclusive headline show at The Dome, London on February 23rd, which they have completely sold out four weeks in advance. Before this the band are touring the UK in support of Don Broco starting next week. Full details are found below:

“2014 MTV EMA”, Europe’s biggest music award show that is being held in Glasgow, Scotland in November, 2014, just announced its nominees.

The “Worldwide Act Award” is selected through votes from MTV viewers from all over the world.  Five artists were entered from Japan: Namie Amuro, E-girls, ONE OK ROCK, Perfume, and a “wild card” artist.

Once the “wild card” is chosen, the “Japan representative” is chosen in round one.  The “Japan•Korea representative” is chose in round two.  The third round decides who wins the “Worldwide Act Award”.

EMA will be televised in Japan as well, so use your voting power to send MAN WITH A MISSION TO EMA.

MAN WITH A MISSION ended their solo show as a big success on May 31st , and from June 11th, one of their songs will be aired in a TV commercial of a major automobile company, BMW 4 series Gran Coupe.

The tie-in song is “babylon”, one of the main songs from their latest concept album“Tales of Purefly”, and the edgy sound goes perfect with the cool image of BMW Gran Coupe.
