Fans of all-girl Japanese rock group BAND-MAID showered drummer Akane with piles of drumsticks last month, delivered from several countries around the world in support of her recent injury which stopped her from touring to support the band’s latest CD, New Beginning. After 2 months of reduced activities, Akane posted a photo this week to her Twitter account with some of her favorite sticks, which were autographed with get-well messages from her fans.

Akane serves as BAND-MAID’s leader, and her absence from performing during the release tour took a tough emotional toll on the dedicated performer, who can be seen below practicing drums by covering Maximum The Hormone’s “Benjo Sandal Dance”.

Akane's message to fans: “I took a break from drums for 2 months because of the injury. I received many sticks with warm, encouraging messages from my masters overseas! Your words uplifted me and I was able to push through! Thank you so much!” (Translated from Japanese) https://twitter.com/achi_bandmaid/status/688019609925058560

X JAPAN’s co-founder and leader YOSHIKI tweeted that he will announce a big news on August 6th
via his official Twitter account (@YoshikiOfficial) during a special Q&A session, where he will answer questions from fans using the hashtag #AskYoshiki.

YOSHIKI successfully completed “Yoshiki Classical World Tour Part I” after 13 shows in 10 countries in June, which was followed by a performance in front of 4,000 European fans at the 15th annual JAPAN EXPO in Paris. Yoshiki is scheduled to make an appearance and perform at OTAKON on August 9th
and 10th, an anime culture event happening in Maryland, featuring guest performers PATA and HEATH from X JAPAN.

Tickets for X JAPAN’s highly anticipated October 11th concert at Madison Square Garden were sold out as soon as they went on sale on August 1st. Since their debut at Rockefeller Center press conference in New York on August 24th 1992, X Japan’s explosive live show has captivated a worldwide audience. The band has had a notoriously tumultuous career, which includes the loss of two of its five founding members to tragic death and breakups. Despite its hardships, the band has steadfastly maintained the X Japan vision and brought themselves together to perform this October where their U.S. story started, in New York City.

This performance will no doubt be a historical event. The band will be performing both fan favorites and previously unreleased music from their decades of recordings. The concert trailer for X Japan Madison Square Garden can be viewed HERE.

In June 2014, “THE WORLD -X JAPAN- The World’s First Best of Album” was released after 13 years since their last release. On August 6th (Japan Time), YOSHIKI will announce details of an exclusive Japan concert during his Twitter Q&A. Fans can tweet in their questions using the hashtag #AskYoshiki.

Almost one year ago, Coal Chamber announced a slew of Australian reunion shows. Turns out they were testing the waters. A source close to the band told me once that they didn't think anybody cared about the band, and they were shocked at the overwhelmingly positive response they got at Soundwave. People went nuts. So, I guess it's time for them to test the waters in the US, as frontman Dez Fafara recently tweeted:

Could this be the beginning of a full-fledged US tour? Only time will tell since DevilDriver and GWAR will be going out on a tour soon.

A Falling In Reverse fansite claiming to have a direct twitter message from frontman Ronnie Radke himself says that they have "fired" their bass player Mika because "he doesn't know how to tune his bass and he's an asshole". Who will become his replacement? Well truth be told Radke and Max Green of Escape The Fate Radke's former band are best friends and are talks about allowing Green to join in so who knows what will become of this or even happen next!

Vocalist Andy Biersack of Los Angeles theatrical rockers BLACK VEIL BRIDES broke his nose during the band's concert in Luxembourg Wednesday night (October 26). As a result, the group has been forced to put all of its previously announced European shows on hold until further notice.

Andy Tweets, "For those asking, during last night's show I broke my nose down the center, splitting the bone. . . I apologize and promise to do my best to recover. Excruciating pain and it's my own damn stage antics fault. I promise to try my best to heal quickly."

A photo of Biersack's injuries, as posted on the singer's Twitter account, can be seen below.

This isn't the first time Biersack broke something on his body, he broke three ribs back in June trying to jump onto a stage from a 15-foot balcony during the band's concert that took place at Hot Topic in Hollywood, California. Though he was injured he continued the showcase finishing the gig despite his injuries.
