Andrew De Leon known as a semi-finalist on America's Got Talent during it's 2012 edition, has signed a record label deal with Standby Records. He will releasing his second full-length album 'Dark Tales" next year with a teaser EP available August 21st 2015. Andrew De Leon had independently released his debut album "Black Lights" mixing a combination of genres, classicial, rock, pop, gothic opera, as a solo artist in 2013. This new album will be his first recording with his band that includes lead guitarist/composer Hunter Fisher and guitarist John Paul Grasso.

Andrew told Billboard.com the following statements; "I was OK being just a solo artist for a while, but I quickly realized that I had too much of a vision to limit myself. The sound I was going for was way too big to take on all alone," says De Leon. "The idea of grouping a band happened quickly after, and I'm very happy with that decision. There's more orchestration with the music now, and the band completely gets the musical direction."

De Legon had signed on with Standby Records when the label had approached him a year after releasing his debut album. He soon was convinced after having a phone chat with CEO/owner Neil Sheehan saying "I was really impressed with the direction of the label. He made it very clear that the goal of Standby Records was to allow the artist to be as creative as possible, and I was immediately sold on the idea," says the singer. "I think artistic freedom is very important, so it only made sense to join Standby."

He went on to add that "The songs are very honest and dark, which is why I called them dark tales," he says. "My previous music was mostly about feeling victimized and how to get through those kinds of struggles, but with Dark Tales I wanted to explore the side of me that wasn't a victim. I wanted to get to know the monster inside and embrace it. So the songs on the EP talk about love, hate, betrayal, sexuality and other things I've experienced that I was too scared to write about before. Dark Tales is somewhat of an introduction to a scary story that seems to have no end."

The Relapse Symphony will release their sophomore efforts "Born To Burn" on June 23rd 2015 via Standby Records. This is the follow-up to debut EP "Time Running Out", debut album "Shadows" and acoustic album "Shadows The Acoustic Sessions". Frontman vocalist Bret Von Dehl says "The band really learned an incredible amount with the creation, release and touring of our first record, Shadows. We worked vigorously for months and wrote a ton of material to make Born To Burn and I'm exceedingly more excited than I've ever been for the world to hear the work we've created. It's bigger, heavier and more pissed off than ever. It's a brutally honest and important album for Rock music."

Industrial gothic rockers Deadstar Assembly have signed with Standby Records and will release their 4th studio LP, 'Blame It On The Devil' on February 24. Pre-orders are now available HERE and on iTunes HERE. The first single "Amulet", is streaming exclusively on Pure Grain Audio HERE.

'Blame It On The Devil' was tracked primarily in the band's new home studio and mixed in Los Angeles. It's a visceral soundscape that is equal parts 80s metal, 90s industrial and hard style colliding into a truly modern sound. The new album is a spike laden musical incision that's face melting with big hooks.

“Standby Records' ability to break artists and bring them to market, specifically those theatrical in nature is extremely impressive. Their Rock N Roll 2.0 attitude is something the industry and fans desperately need and it’s an attitude that’s synonymous with us, we’re excited to come on board,” says keyboardist Mubo.

Hailing from Portland, Oregon, WHISPERS OF WONDER create a new form and style of music they classify as "melodic wondercore".  The description couldn't be more dead on.  Featuring musical excellence and an uncanny way to reach deep into the souls of every listener through song, WHISPERS OF WONDER have been growing a massive fan base in Portland and beyond since their inception less than a year ago.  In this short time, they have captured the ears of many of the top record labels out today, before signing with America's hottest modern metal label today, Standby Records.

Sheehan is not the only one that has been moved.  The brilliant vocals of Lukkie Thornton draw the listener close while the guitars of Chree Thornton and Tristen Warren pepper their sound of delicious wondercore to a whole new musical level of excellence.  The three of them ride the rock solid foundation of Calin Wormdahl on drums and Austin Shaner on bass to create the most intricate, balanced and musically mesmerizing sound heard in recent memory.

Northern Virginia metal/hardcore outfit, In Alcatraz 1962, have announced a two-month string of tour dates that will see the quintet traverse the U.S.

Beginning June 25 in Lehighton, PA, the band will hit the road with Float Face Down and The Last Ten Seconds of Life on a “Don’t Be A HaTour” run of dates before linking up with Legacy and This Romantic Tragedy for twenty-six shows from July 31 through August 31.

In June of 1962, on a tiny island isolated in the midst of San Francisco Bay, a daring breakout that had never been tried and had virtually no chance of succeeding was being planned. Four incarcerated criminals were orchestrating their escape from the world's most notorious prison.

Fast forward to 2005, In Alcatraz 1962 was formed by drummer Josh Zupovitz as an after school cover song jam session to escape the prison of boredom but once the band’s lethal chemistry was unleashed upon an unsuspecting public, they quickly sped ahead selling out shows and copies of their 5-song DREAM Ep, which brought them to the attention of Standby Records President Neil Sheehan.

Brandishing a blistering double-kick drum driven sound akin to Sepultura, Pantera and Bullet For My Valentine, the current In Alcatraz 1962 line-up includes vocalist Tyler Baldwin, guitarists Chris Smith and Danny Lapetina, bassist Jonathon Pentz and drummer Josh Zupovitz.

Before the summer onslaught commences, the group is holed up at Cleveland's Studio D Productions with producer Don DeBiase (Modern Day Escape, Beneath The Sky, For All Those Sleeping) putting the finishing touches on its punishing debut full-length record THE DRIVE, due October 9 via Standby Records.

Tracks from THE DRIVE include “Submergence,” “Stagnant,” “The Fatal Flaw,” “There To Take” and “Aspirations” which will make its track premiere on June 30 and be distributed as a free download.

Standby Records is pleased to announce the further growth of their “Rock N’ Roll 2.0” roster with the addition of Hollywood based industrial/rock band “Davey Suicide” and the May 1st premiere of their “Generation Fuck Star” video on Blank TV.

“My predecessors went indie first and it felt like it's right thing to do. Sometimes, the hardest thing to do is to find the team that believes in what you do” said lead singer, Davey. “It spoke volumes to me when Standby and my management said, ‘fuck yeah, lets make Generation Fuck Star the first track.’ In my life, I've had many instances where the industry has told me, ‘no.’ This instance was the first of many that confirmed, to me, that this team shared my vision.”

Said Neil Sheehan, owner of Standby Records, of the collaboration:

"What made the first incarnation of Rock N' Roll tick was how it connected with the youth while
rebelling against the older generation's antiquated perceptions of how things should be. As we further the progress of Rock N' Roll 2.0, we couldn't do it better than working with a visionary of youthful rebellion like Davey Suicide. Some will call him a shock rocker...those that ignore the problems of today's generation and think that old fashion ideals and visions are the only way the world works. Davey Suicide is the embodiment of something new. He's not shocking. He's right. We couldn't be happier to work with an artist with this sense of vision."

This partnership has given Davey the freedom to realize his creative vision without limitations. On their music and motivation, Davey said, “What makes art and music special is that we don't have to have boundaries. They're only there because we put them there. My music is the epitome of what happens when you throw your scripts out the window and anything goes.”

‘Generation Fuck Star’ will be released on iTunes on May 1st, with the video premiere airing on Blank TV the same day. You can catch an exclusive first look at the visual & audio chaos via Bloody Disgusting on Tuesday, April 24th at noon EST. When describing the single, Davey stated, “Generation Fuck Star is about breaking the mold, doing what you want, how you want, and not because you are told to be a certain way. The consumer can see through the cookie cutter bands and that's why their love for those bands is fleeting. Give them music that means something and they'll stand by your side, forever. Another label wanted to sign me but they were too scared to release Generation Fuck Star as my first single. That proved to me, they weren't avant garde enough.” Directed by renown photographer and filmmaker Chad Michael Ward, it promises to be ”the breath of fresh air that music fans need”, as stated on Davey Suidice's Facebook page. Chad Michael Ward is best known for his work with such artists as Marilyn Manson, Fear Factory, and Black Veil Brides as well as his stunning fashion and portrait portfolio.

Cleveland-based independent record label, Standby Records, is excited to announce a new addition to the Standby family, Northern Virginia’s metal/hardcore outfit, In Alcatraz 1962. Standby and In Alcatraz 1962 will team up to release the band’s debut record this spring.

“We are very excited to release our debut album with such a dedicated and committed label,” said In Alcatraz 1962 drummer, Josh Zupovitz. “We know they will treat us not only as another band, but as a family member. We look forward to collaborating with Standby Records and are ready to share our music with each and every one of you.”

Under The Gun is the highly anticipated follow-up to the band’s acclaimed 2009 debut, House Of Rats.

Modern Day Escape has already hit the road in anticipation of the impending release as part of the “Something Wicked This Way Comes Tour” with Wednesday 13 and Aiden. The West Coast run kicked off last night in Pomona, CA.

“This tour is a killer start for what we plan to accomplish with Under The Gun,” said frontman, James Vegas, following the band’s performance at The Glass House. “We've made a record that we're incredibly proud of. The shows are already at a whole different level than where we were at before. We’re are also touring with our new drummer, Sandra, who we met when we toured with Black Veil Brides, and she's already making a big difference. If you've never heard or seen Modern Day Escape before, you're now seeing the band we've always wanted to be.”

After wrapping up the January dates, Modern Day Escape will head home to film a music video for the new track, “Under The Gun,” with director, Robby Starbuck (Smashing Pumpkins, Escape The Fate, Asking Alexandria).

In almost three years time Flordia's Modern Day Escape will be releasing the follow-up to 2009's "House of Rats". In preparation for the new album "Under The Gun" the band will be hitting the road on the "Something Wicked This Way Comes Tour" starting January 5th at the Glass House in Pomona, California and wrapping up January 22nd at the Key Club in Hollywood, California. This will be the second release on Standby Records and the follow-up to 2008's "House of Rats", not only is the band releasing brand new material; but is including brand new members Sandra Alva former drummer of Black Veil Brides and guitarist/vocalist Mark Burn to add to the Modern Day Escape family. Expect a new album, new shows, and everything new from MODERN DAY ESCAPE!

Black Veil Bride's frontman Andy Biersack was interviewed recently and told the reason behind why the music video for "Carolyn" was never made. He went into saying that since they were already in the process of making their second album that they didn't want to go back to what was already created last year "We Stitched These Wounds" (2010) and decided to move forward and just concentrate on the new record rather than their old material. But the band is very happy with the song and happy it means so much to them and their fans. Andy went on to mention the title of the band's upcoming brand new video which just wrapped up shooting in Los Angeles. The title of the new single and video is "Fallen Angles". So be sure to keep a look out for those within the next few months.
