"Our band has always strived to take the negative in our lives and use it to fuel positive change. To foster good in a world that can be so bad. That and to cause the biggest ruckus with our fans while doing so. The relationship we share with you all and with our music has brought us to places we never dreamed of going; countries we never thought we'd step foot on, stages we only dreamed of playing. But the biggest impression left is the overwhelming sense of family that this scene has given us and let us be a part of. It's helped us become the men we are today and, in a way, is partly responsible for different parts of our lives blossoming.

"After touring for over 10 years, living our lives on the road and on the stage, it's time for us to go chase those other dreams that may have waited on a shelf. We've started families, careers, and new lives, all the while spending our nights sweating in a club or a Warped Tour parking lot with you and those sides of us and our lives need attention as much as Vanna did.

"Words can't begin to express what you have all done for us. In keeping with always sharing ourselves with you, we now turn to you to share one last time with us. Let's make this tour a celebration of every moment and memory as well as make a bunch of new ones with some amazing friends and bands.

"Come sing your hearts out and inevitably cry your eyes out with us as we leave a little piece of Vanna on every stage. This isn't goodbye forever — it's just a 'We'll see you around.' Our music will be here whenever you need it; we truly love you and we will miss you all. But remember, all good things must come to an end, but all good things can begin again.

Glamour Of The Kill have announced that they have broken up. The following statement has been made confirming that they "have no plans to write, record, or tour" and are ending the band to focus on other careers. The full statement can be found below;

“After 10+ years of writing, recording and performing the time has come for us to bring GOTK to close for now… Whether or not we revisit this in the future is undecided, but as things stand we have no plans to write, record, or tour.

“You only have to look at the number of great bands that have also recently decided to call it a day to get an idea of what a sorry state the music industry is in, and we are no exception to this.

“For longer than we can actually remember we have been playing music together, and have been fortunate enough play shows to a very large number of people across the world. Despite this, music has been no way of us affording to live, pay bills, or do anything functioning human beings do, and the massive cost associated with touring internationally, more often than not means putting every single penny we have made back into everything else we have done.

“It has come to a point where we need to take a step back from this, and focus on other careers just to allow ourselves to get by.

“From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank every single person that has bought our music, come to a show and sung their heart out, bought merchandise, got behind last years kickstarter, and generally helped us sustain GOTK to this point. Without your help and support we wouldn’t have made it this far and been able to do what we love for so long.

“We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank every single band, crew member, and industry professional that has supported us. You have made the journey so much fun and helped carve us into the well formed pieces of shit we are today.

“It is with heavy hearts we must bid you all farewell.”

RISE TO REMAIN, the London, England metalcore outfit fronted by Austin Dickinson — the son of IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson — has split up following the departures of drummer Adam Lewin and guitarist Ben Tovey. Austin, guitarist Will Homer and bassist Conor O'Keefe will continue working together in a new project called AS LIONS.

Says Austin in a statement: "It's with a mixture of sadness and excitement that we reveal to everybody that RISE TO REMAIN is no more.

"We traveled the world with this band, and, because of the people who supported us, managed to achieve so many things we never thought possible.

"Living the dream, in many cases, is not enough to hold it all together when the band is not stable, and after putting together the second record, Adam told us he was in a place where he felt the pressure of the album and the upcoming cycle and couldn't continue, leading Ben to quit music altogether.

"To continue the band at this point, with as many lineup changes as it's had, with the two original members being Will and myself, seems pointless.

"We loved the music we made with RISE, we loved getting to know all of you through shows and media like this. That goes for Ben and Adam too.

"I wouldn't say that this news is necessarily unexpected, as it's been quiet on here for some time.

"We don't feel any blame or animosity. In all honesty, I would like to add that Ben leaving was the best decision for him. He was in a difficult position and had been for a long time, and he had to find a way to go and deal with his problems, which, although it means we had to part ways, I'm still very proud of him for. It takes courage. We've all toured together for years, and bonds like that are not only old, they are complex. However, I do now get to move on to the exciting part.

"AS LIONS is the new band that Will, Conor and I have been working on since early last year. We wanted to take our time with it and build the material to the point where we knew we could burn the place to the ground. This is that time.

"Nine months of nonstop recording and work in the wake of the final RISE album, as well as a manner things lead to a lot of material, including the single you can currently hear: 'The Fall'. While it is different to what you know us to sound like, it captures the passion, hunger and furore that we've always sought to impart.

"There is no other way to kick this off, than with an anthem, a straight-up belter, one that you can sing and move to, as well as one that does the people that have supported us and made us who we are as individuals, proud. So if you enjoy it, take pride in knowing that you are supporting a band that truly appreciates it.

"Touring and shows will be announced shortly, but for now, we would rather let the song speak for itself, and find out what your reactions are.

"We've got an article running in Kerrang! currently, and the single is going to radio at the weekend.

"So, to summate, I will miss RISE TO REMAIN in its good times. I was shown a world of opportunities I never thought would be possible. What you guys have shown me, time after time, is to sing as loud as possible, sweat as much as you can and act like it's your last night on earth. I find a lot of solace in that.

"RISE TO REMAIN's time is over. If you want in on the new wave, right this way…. "

Chimaira has made the announcement of their breakup due to the fallout of every member except frontman vocalist Mark Hunter. A farewell statement has been posted online "After fifteen full blown ass ripping years, it is with great honor to announce the end of Chimaira. Thanks to everyone that supported the group in any way, shape, or form. Everyone involved with the band from members to fans put their heart and soul into this project. We achieved a lot. We bled a lot. It fucking ruled."

Vocalist Scott Lewis of the San Diego, California-based deathcore band CARNIFEX has released the following statement:

"Fans and friends, first and foremost, a sincere thank you is in order to our fans and friends across the world. Without your support and passion, we are nothing.

"As of now, CARNIFEX is in a state of suspended animation. The reasons for this are many and complicated.

"Let me be clear in saying that Shawn [Cameron, drums], Cory [Arford, guitar], Ryan [Gudmunds, guitar], Fred [Calderon, bass] and I are still members of CARNIFEX. Let me also be clear in saying that although the future is very uncertain, I can say with optimism, that this is not farewell, but rather, until we meet again.

"CARNIFEX is now retreating into the obscurity we once came from. Be certain that us as individuals and as bandmates have a true love for this band. Our desire to create our brand of art and music has never been about trends or money. These things will not decide out future.

"We invite you to join us live, for the last time in the foreseeable future. We will be making these select dates as memorable as possible and look forward to seeing you there."

Upcoming CARNIFEX shows:

Dec. 21 - San Diego, CA - SOMA Mainstage
Dec. 22 - Anaheim, CA - Chain Reaction
Dec. 23 - Hollywood, CA - The Whisky A Go Go
