FROM ASHES TO NEW (@FromAshesToNew)—Danny Case (vocals), Matt Brandyberry (vocals), Lance Dowdle (guitar), Maty Madiro (drums), Jimmy Bennett (guitar)—are wrapping up 2025 with the release today (December 5) of a visceral new song, “Drag Me,” via Better Noise Music. Listen to the track HERE and watch the visualizer HERE.

“We wanted to create a song about feeling trapped in a war with yourself, when your inner demons pull harder than your better intentions can push,” says singer Matt Brandyberry. “Every good thought gets buried beneath the bad and you start to realize the real fight isn’t against the world, it’s against the reflection staring back at you. ‘Drag Me’ came from that place…the feeling of being pulled straight into hell by the parts of yourself you could never escape.”

All eyes are on the explosive alt-metal outfit FROM ASHES TO NEW (@FromAshesToNew). They’ve already made their mark as a hugely successful band with a #1-charting album—2023’s BLACKOUT (Better Noise Music)—which landed the #1 spot on several iTunes and Spotify Rock and Metal charts across the globe. Artistically, the Lancaster, PA outfit have made impact with a distinctive amalgam of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic, and alternative music, combined with songs that bracingly capture their generation’s anxieties.

FROM ASHES TO NEW—Danny Case (vocals), Matt Brandyberry (vocals), Lance Dowdle (guitar), Maty Madiro (drums), Jimmy Bennett (guitar)—are now back with the powerful “New Disease,” an unflinching song about the dangers of trend jumping. The track marks their first new offering since “Live Before I’m Dead (Hours),” one of the six bonus tracks appearing on the June 2024 release of the companion BLACKOUT (DELUXE) album.

“New Disease” intensifies FROM ASHES TO NEW’s sound and vision and is primed to galvanize their growing fanbase. "Every day there's a new trend,” says the band’s Matt Brandyberry about the song’s theme.  “Every day there's a new wave of people going out of their way to be recognized no matter the cost. We are hypnotized by our vices...we will kill ourselves to be noticed.”

Top 10 alt-metal vanguards FROM ASHES TO NEW have released the emotionally charged new song “Barely Breathing” featuring Chrissy Costanza from rock trio Against The Current. Adeptly juxtaposing clean vocals and rap verses delivered by FROM ASHES TO NEW founding member Matt Brandyberry alongside impassioned screams from frontman Danny Case, “Barely Breathing,” examines the dissolution of a turbulent romance whose lovers are left “barely breathing.” Against The Current vocalist Chrissy Costanza’s melodic vocals movingly add to the intimacy of the track. Out today, February 2, via Better Noise Music, stream/download “Barely Breathing (feat. Chrissy Costanza from Against The Current)” HERE.

“From the moment we created this song, we knew it was special,” says Case. “It brought a new angle and a fresh sound to the band and because of that, we knew we wanted to feature a singer that could add their own flair and truly give the song its own identity. Chrissy is a perfect addition to this song and her voice brings a dynamic that elevates the song to an even greater level.”

“It’s always a huge honor to be welcomed into another artist’s world,” shares Costanza. “I was a massive fan of this song from the very first listen that getting to be a part of it is such a dream.”

Using inspiration from the track’s dark cover art (seen above), FROM ASHES TO NEW collaborated with director and VFX artist JOSIAHx for the “Barely Breathing” visually striking music video. Watch it streaming below or via YouTube HERE.

21st-century rock vanguards FROM ASHES TO NEW have been making a splash in the rock and nu-metal scene with their new concept album BLACKOUT, released July 28 via BETTER NOISE MUSIC. Set as a prequel to their 2016 debut album DAY ONE, BLACKOUT mirrors the state the world was in amidst the global pandemic during which it was written of unrest and angst with a pre-apocalyptic mindset. Its 12 tracks encapsulate FROM ASHES TO NEW’s explosive blend of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic and alternative music.

Produced by vocalist Matt Brandyberry, alongside longtime collaborators and producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak¸ BLACKOUT featured FROM ASHES TO NEW’s fifth-ever Top 10-charting rock radio single, “Hate Me Too,” (#8) and their current radio single “Nightmare” is steadily rising on the Active Rock charts. Today, August 11, FROM ASHES TO NEW reveal a new music video for the recently shared album track “Monster In Me,” which New Noise Magazine described as” show(ing) a new side of the band that puts a fresh spin on the sound that broke them onto the scene--one that is emotive, angsty, and relatable to those who come from all walks of life.” Watch the “Monster In Me” music video directed by Jensen Noen (Falling In Reverse, Bring Me The Horizon) streaming below or directly via YouTube HERE.

FROM ASHES TO NEW continue to break their way into the top of the 21st century rock vanguard with their compelling new album BLACKOUT, out today (July 28), via BETTER NOISE MUSIC. Conceptually, BLACKOUT encapsulates the distress of the pre-apocalyptic world the Lancaster, PA band built with their groundbreaking 2016 debut DAY ONE, while mirroring the angst and unrest the world felt during the 2020 pandemic at which time it was written. Sonically, FROM ASHES TO NEW deliver a fresh spin on the sound that broke them onto the scene with their distinctive blend of hard rock, hip-hop, electronic and alternative music. BLACKOUT was produced by vocalist Matt Brandyberry, alongside longtime collaborators and producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio in PA. It features 12 tracks including their fifth-ever Top 10-charting rock radio single “Hate Me Too,” which peaked at #8 on Mediabase charts, and their latest anthemic single “Nightmare” which is now climbing the charts at Active Rock radio. Stream and/or download BLACKOUT or grab a physical copy on CD, vinyl or cassette at https://fatn.ffm.to/blackoutalbum.

“‘Blackout’ is our prequel to ‘Day One,’” says co-vocalist Matt Brandyberry. “‘Day One’ was a strong representation of the style that made FATN who we are today, and ‘Blackout’ is a step above. The world seems to be headed further and further towards chaos and destruction, so it only felt right to create a piece to paint the picture we are all becoming all too familiar with. Expect much more of this from us in the future!”

“‘Blackout is the album we’ve always wanted to make,” relays co-vocalist Danny Case. “It’s intense, emotional, heavy, and most importantly, it’s us. This album truly represents who we are as a band and its massive sound will prove to be our best record yet. We are so incredibly proud of this album, and we are confident it will quickly become our fans’ favorite From Ashes To New record ever.”

To further celebrate BLACKOUT‘s release, FROM ASHES TO NEW have today shared a lyric video for their rap/metal hybrid track “Monster In Me” which can be seen streaming below or via YouTube HERE

FROM ASHES TO NEW’s upcoming album BLACKOUT, due July 28 via Better Noise Music, conceptually acts as a prequel to their 2016 debut album DAY ONE and encapsulates the distress of a pre-apocalyptic world; it mirrors the frame of mind the world felt during the 2020 pandemic at which time it was written. The genre-blending group have today (May 19) unveiled a powerful new single from BLACKOUT: “Armageddon,” which focuses on the current state of the world and how the fighting and the division is leading to some of the worst social times in recent history. Watch the apocalyptic-themed music video for “Armageddon,” directed by JOSIAHx (Disturbed, Skillet), HERE.

Lancaster, Pennsylvania rockers FROM ASHES TO NEW release their new single, “Panic” from their forthcoming album of the same name. The video for “Panic” was made just as the CoronaVirus was taking hold of the US.  The shoot was done in Rochester, NY in the last days before quarantine. “It was a race against the clock to get it all together. Our director ended up losing employees because they didn’t want to put themselves at risk, which is understandable.  They had to scrounge up some crew members to get it together and we had to travel to get a hotel that was willing to let us stay there and we had to find places that were open for us to eat.  Overall, it was a difficult scenario.  It was almost like a Book Of Eli post-apocalyptic situation where it was like fend for yourself,” explained vocalist/rapper, Matt Brandyberry. Watch "Panic" HERE.
