FEAR FACTORY will embark on their first full headlining tour in support of 2012’s conceptual mega-album The Industrialist. Performances begin next week, with the tour set to visit 38 cities throughout the US and Canada.  The tour represents the first live dates by the band on American soil in nearly a year. The World Industrialist tour will feature support from Hate Eternal and Kobra And The Lotus.

Speaking with Full Metal Jackie, vocalist Burton C. Bell describes The Industrialist as, “a very deliberate album and one that came about very naturally to us. There is something so tight about the album. Focus is the one thing that is on this record that doesn’t really appear on any of our other records. The focus of the music, the sounds, the aggression and the concept. Everything had its purpose and we knew exactly what we were doing and what we had to do.”

The Industrialist wraps itself around a tale written by vocalist Burton C. Bell. While the "story" was spelt out more expansively in the deluxe book edition of the album (which also featured two additional songs), the plot is rooted both in forward-thinking science fiction and contemporary events. Prior to its June 5, 2012 release, excitement was already building for the album – the second from the reunited nucleus of Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares. “There isn't a record that I'm looking forward to more than The Industrialist,” said Revolver editor Brandon Geist. “North America is chompin' at the bit to get an ear full of new Fear Factory,” added Sirius/XM Metal Director Jose Mangin. “Recharger,” the album’s lead single premiered on April 24 and within 24 hours had over 100,000 listens.

Produced by Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly), and mixed by Greg Reely (Paradise Lost/Machine Head), The Industrialist features additional tracking by Logan Mader (Gojira/Divine Heresy) and artwork by Anthony Clarkson (Devin Townsend). It is FEAR FACTORY at its most confident and passionate; the band bringing every sonic weapon in its arsenal to the fore. Revisiting and refining the sweeping melodies and unforgettable songwriting that will forever distinguish FEAR FACTORY from all others, the sound and creative storyline of The Industrialist immediately carved itself a spot on the short list of Best Metal Albums of 2012. The album debuted on the Billboard Top 40 for its initial release week. The record maintained the Top position on CMJ’s Hard Rock chart for three consecutive weeks. It was a resident of the Top 10 for eight weeks and ended 2012 on their Top Year chart at position seven.

The World Industrialist Tour will find FEAR FACTORY performing fan favorites plus select songs from The Industrialist and 2010’s Mechanize. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster and all venue box offices. The video for “The Industrialist,” directed by James Zahn, as well as a special tour video by Dino Cazares can be viewed HERE.

FEAR FACTORY will return to Europe in August; the band set to appear at this year’s installments of Wacken Open Air, Dynamo, and Summer Breeze, among others. The band recently announced their addition to the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise sent to leave Miami on January 27, 2014.

Florida-based death metal veterans MORBID ANGEL will release their long-awaited eighth studio album, "Illud Divinum Insanus", on June 7 (one day earlier internationally) via Season of Mist. The cover artwork was designed by Gustavo Sazes and can be viewed below.

"Illud Divinum Insanus" track listing:

01. Omni Potens
02. Too Extreme!
03. Existo Vulgoré
04. Blades for Baal
05. I Am Morbid
06. 10 More Dead
07. Destructos Vs. the Earth / Attack
08. Nevermore
09. Beauty Meets Beast
10. Radikult
11. Profundis - Mea Culpa

"Illud Divinum Insanus" will be available in the following formats:

* Wooden foldout box
* Metal starpak CD (outside North America)
* Deluxe digipak CD (North America only)
* Double gatefold LP with download card
* Jewel case CD
* Digital download

Most of these formats are already available for pre-order on Season of Mist's e-shop.

The wooden foldout box is a triptych made of solid fine wood with all panels engraved, and includes the following items:

* "Illud Divinum Insanus" CD in real leather-bound book
* "Illud Divinum Insanus" double gatefold LP in coloured heavy weight (180 grams) vinyl, different from the regular LP edition
* Two black candles with red wax Blasphegram and their holders
* Incense burner with incense
* Exclusive poster
* Exclusive full colour t-shirt with back print

All above items are exclusively made for this limited box and will not be available separately!

Commented Sazes: "To create this cover we worked from several references, ideas, elements, and I would say a 'world' of options and paths.

"After a long brainstorming period and some [good and bad] ideas left behind, we came up with the concept of this organic surreal insane being; a fallen God or a weird mirror image of our own madness. It is a different MORBID ANGEL cover for sure, but I think that's how MORBID ANGEL is...Deviant and different on each new release. They never repeat themselves. They are always pushing the boundaries and setting new standards.

"I'm really proud of the final results and hope the fans appreciate my work, while listening to the new album!"

Prior to the release of the album, a single for the song "Nevermore" will be made available on May 16 as a digital download and seven-inch vinyl single. The B-side is an exclusive version of new song "Destructos Vs. The Earth", remixed by COMBICHRIST.

"Of all the remixes I've been asked to do I never expected one of the world's most notorious death metal bands to have an interest in hearing their music on the dance floor," said COMBICHRIST mainman Andy LaPlegua. "However, 'Destructos' is one of those tracks that are so versatile that it could have been recorded as a folk song and it would still sound amazing.

"I'm honored to be a part of this project and am excited to see how the MORBID ANGEL fans react to this unusual new direction."

The cover artwork for the single was designed by French artists Valnoir and Fursy Teyssier for Metastazis.

The drum tracks to six songs on "Illud Divinum Insanus" were recorded at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida with engineer Erik Rutan (former MORBID ANGEL guitarist and producer for such bands as CANNIBAL CORPSE and GOATWHORE). The new CD will be the band's first to be recorded without longtime drummer Pedro "Pete" Sandoval, who last year underwent back surgery for a deteriorating disc problem. Filling in for him on a temporary basis is Tim Yeung, who has previously played with DIVINE HERESY, ALL THAT REMAINS, NILE, HATE ETERNAL and VITAL REMAINS).

MORBID ANGEL guitarist Trey Azagthoth in 2009 spoke to Revolver magazine about the band's upcoming album, which will mark the Florida-based group's first release to feature bassist/vocalist David Vincent since 1995's "Domination".

"We played the new song 'Nevemore' on the last tour and that kind of shows where our heads are at," he said. "I'd say it's like an assemblage of all sorts of stuff from the catalog and some new influences. I listen to a lot of hardcore [techno] music now — the fuckin' serious, artistic stuff, not that crap you hear at the clubs. That stuff has impact and it's really extreme. Even if there's no guitar in it or no real drums, the energy coming out of the speakers is amazing." He added, "All I can say is, when it's ready, it's going to be extreme and outside the box. And, hopefully, the songs will inspire people to look deeper inside themselves for 'the stuff' and to tap that potential that we as human beings have."
