Maryland’s When Cities Sleep are extremely excited to announce that the EDM infused post-hardcore outfit has signed with Indianola Records. The band joins current label mates Provoke Destroy, Scream Out Loud, and Words Like Daggers along with acclaimed alum A Day To Remember, Across Five Aprils, Evergreen Terrace, Honour Crest, Life In Your Way, Oh Mahattan and This Day Will Tell. It has also been announced that their label debut will be entitled What Lies Lay Between Us and released November 18th with vocalist Mike Garrow commenting, “This album was something we put our whole hearts into. Through the songs, you will definitely be able to feel a piece of all of us, this is what we believe in and no one can take it away. From our electronic programming to our heaviest roots we hope you enjoy every last bit of what we have put together.”

Under The Gun is exclusively premiering the lead single, entitled “Dead Tires,” off the album beginning today. Mike commented on the single, which can be heard HERE, by saying, “The single is a perfect combination of fast paced high energy electronic hardcore music that will keep you on your feet and guessing as to what is to come next. It's the perfect balance of what our album has to offer, and you can also feel there might be some surprises here and there due to the new style trap program beats.” The band is expected to tour through the fall and winter.

Having discovering a band like Modern Day Escape wasn't that hard and since I re-listened to their 2009 debut “House of Rats” countless times I knew I’d be sucked into their society soon enough and it was from 2010 onward that I was a member of the Modern Day Escape community.

Since then the band has toured relentlessly with various acts as Black Veil Brides and Wednesday 13 just getting their name out into the open really exposing and promoting who they are and where they were from and everything in between of course. With this they went on to begin writing and recording for their follow-up release entitled “Under the Gun” with two brand spanking new members guitarist Mark Burns and percussionist Sandra Alva formerly of Black Veil Brides.

So out with the old and in with the new totally new it seems since discussion of an all new album was in the works fans were in total anticipation for it especially having Sandra taking the percussion role this time around there was going to be high hopes and it all began with the releases of the title track and fan devoted track "The Syndicate", these alone really expose who Modern Day Escape is as of right now and where they will forever be.

Other mentionable tracks that really expand the band’s musical abilities and skill set has to include "Angels Up Above", and “Voiceless”, a selective set of ballad tunes that preserve the hard rock tone just a tad. "Feeds On The Darkside", "Playing Victim", and "Demons Down Below", on the other hand construct the band’s maturity as musicians and leave us in wonder as to what will happen next.

If may not be as edgy as “House of Rats” was but that was then and “Under The Gun” is right here and right now.

West Coast hard rock band on the verge, Modern Day Escape, has released the title track from its upcoming sophomore album, Under The Gun, for digital download through iTunes. The explosive single will premiere online in the coming weeks as the debut music video on March 26th. Modern Day Escape will play a handful of tour dates as the band gears up for the release of Under The Gun next month. The new record can be pre-ordered now through the official Standby Records web-store HERE.

Hard rock outfit, Modern Day Escape, has revealed the tracklist for the band’s sophomore record, Under The Gun, which is set to release on March 27th via Standby Records.

Under The Gun is the highly anticipated follow-up to the band’s acclaimed 2009 debut, House Of Rats.

Modern Day Escape has already hit the road in anticipation of the impending release as part of the “Something Wicked This Way Comes Tour” with Wednesday 13 and Aiden. The West Coast run kicked off last night in Pomona, CA.

“This tour is a killer start for what we plan to accomplish with Under The Gun,” said frontman, James Vegas, following the band’s performance at The Glass House. “We've made a record that we're incredibly proud of. The shows are already at a whole different level than where we were at before. We’re are also touring with our new drummer, Sandra, who we met when we toured with Black Veil Brides, and she's already making a big difference. If you've never heard or seen Modern Day Escape before, you're now seeing the band we've always wanted to be.”

After wrapping up the January dates, Modern Day Escape will head home to film a music video for the new track, “Under The Gun,” with director, Robby Starbuck (Smashing Pumpkins, Escape The Fate, Asking Alexandria).

Modern Day Escape who have been hard at work writing, recording, and finally performing with two new members guitarist Mark Burns and drummer Sandra formerly of the Black Veil Brides. They had a little break period and decided to come out to perform at the infamous Chain Reaction in Anaheim, California on December 15, 2011. During their set they perform two new songs off their upcoming sophomore release "Under The Gun" set to be released March 27, 2012! In almost three years time Flordia's Modern Day Escape will be releasing the follow-up to 2009's "House of Rats". In preparation for the new album "Under The Gun" the band will be hitting the road on the "Something Wicked This Way Comes Tour" starting January 5th at the Glass House in Pomona, California and wrapping up January 22nd at the Key Club in Hollywood, California. The band is in the progress of making a new music video and completing the finishing touches and getting ready for their upcoming tour come the New Year. Florida metal rockers Modern Day Escape broke onto the scene with the release of their debut full-length "House Of Rats" (2009) going on tour with such bands as Black Veil Brides, Get Scared, I Am Ghost, and Vampires Everywhere! Since their time off the band has seen line-up changes adding former Black Veil Bride's drummer Sandra Alva to the group and adding guitarist Mark Burn. After this little change up the band has gone on to write and record brand new material for their second full-length "Under The Gun" set to be released March 27, 2012! The band will also be hitting the road come the New Year touring during the first coming weeks of January, on the "Something Wicked Comes This Way Tour" with headliner's Wednesday 13 and Aiden. So expect bigger and greater things from Modern Day Escape come 2012!

This will be the second release on Standby Records and the follow-up to 2008's "House of Rats", not only is the band releasing brand new material; but is including brand new members Sandra Alva former drummer of Black Veil Brides and guitarist/vocalist Mark Burn to add to the Modern Day Escape family.
