The New Year has started with a bang for all Sodom fans: vocalist/bassist Tom Angelripper has split up with guitarist Bernd "Bernemann" Kost and drummer Markus "Makka" Freiwald. "After much thought and reflection I have decided on this difficult step to pave the way for new challenges," explains Tom. "Sodom have always lived off the commitment and passion of everybody involved. Makka was part of the band for almost eight years, Bernemann even for more than twenty. To obviate a possible routine setting in which would make it impossible to continue our creative work optimally, I would like to start all over again with fresh and hungry musicians. At the same time I would like to say thank you to Bernemann and Makka for many successful years in which we performed fantastic shows and released a number of real metal manifestos."

Regardless of this spectacular line-up change, all scheduled Sodom shows will take place from April 2018 as announced. Tom is set to introduce his new comrades-in-arms at the Full Metal Mountain. Whether Sodom will continue to operate as a trio or perhaps become a quartet in future remains unclear. Tom: "I haven't really made up my mind in this respect, I'm open to all options. I will now install the band's new foundation pillars and look around for new musicians. One thing is already clear: Sodom will become even stronger!"

Together with his new line-up, Tom wants to start working on the upcoming album - to be released on Steamhammer/SPV - as soon as possible. Tom: "SPV also look forward to our future collaboration and can expect a totally motivated band."

THE CASUALTIES have announced the departure of frontman Jorge Herrera due to growing tired of the strains of life on the road. The band will fulfill all previously announced dates including the European festival tour in August. A full list of shows can be found below.

The band's longtime friend David Rodriguez (STARVING WOLVES, KRUM BUMS) will be handling vocal duties.

THE CASUALTIES comment: "Attention, Casualties Army! After 27 years of performing with the band, Jorge has chosen that touring life is no longer for him. With that said, we will carry on. As anyone who follows us knows, the name THE CASUALTIES is stronger then any one member. The songs written in basements throughout New York City shall continue to ring loud. We will continue our commitment to the Casualties Army! We will tour and put forward new anthems for many more years to come. When we said 'it's a fucking way of life' back in the beginning, we meant it."

Get Scared's frontman Nicholas Matthews has decided to move on from Get Scared and pursue other outlets. The band is heartbroken and hurts to tell their fans this sadden news but wish the best for Nicholas in whatever he does. The band said this in regards to this matter;

"We regret to inform you that (Nicholas Blake Matthews) has decided, his time with Get Scared has run out. This is so hard for us to announce, However this was not a decision made against Nicholas's wishes nor was he kicked out by any means. Nicholas felt Get Scared was no longer what he wanted to pursue and has moved on musically. Once again, This is so hard for us to announce. We are all still shaken up by it, there is no preparing for a loss as great as this. Although this was a shock to the entire band, Nicholas and Get Scared absolutely have no bad blood towards one another. Nicholas will forever be apart of the Get Scared family and we all look forward to his un doubtful success as a musician.

With having said that, Get Scared will continue rock'n on! We are currently working on new material and couldn't be more proud/excited of the new songs. We can't wait to share them with all of you! Unfortunately, any winter touring plans Get Scared had prior, will be postponed until further notice.


At this time we do not have any announcements of a new singer. But, We will be holding auditions via video submission. We feel that we should give our fans an equal opportunity to become Get Scared's new singer as we would to a professional singer. Who better to give a chance to than the very people who gave us life, our fans
