Glamour Of The Kill have announced that they have broken up. The following statement has been made confirming that they "have no plans to write, record, or tour" and are ending the band to focus on other careers. The full statement can be found below;

“After 10+ years of writing, recording and performing the time has come for us to bring GOTK to close for now… Whether or not we revisit this in the future is undecided, but as things stand we have no plans to write, record, or tour.

“You only have to look at the number of great bands that have also recently decided to call it a day to get an idea of what a sorry state the music industry is in, and we are no exception to this.

“For longer than we can actually remember we have been playing music together, and have been fortunate enough play shows to a very large number of people across the world. Despite this, music has been no way of us affording to live, pay bills, or do anything functioning human beings do, and the massive cost associated with touring internationally, more often than not means putting every single penny we have made back into everything else we have done.

“It has come to a point where we need to take a step back from this, and focus on other careers just to allow ourselves to get by.

“From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank every single person that has bought our music, come to a show and sung their heart out, bought merchandise, got behind last years kickstarter, and generally helped us sustain GOTK to this point. Without your help and support we wouldn’t have made it this far and been able to do what we love for so long.

“We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank every single band, crew member, and industry professional that has supported us. You have made the journey so much fun and helped carve us into the well formed pieces of shit we are today.

“It is with heavy hearts we must bid you all farewell.”

British gents Glamour Of The Kill have arrived in the U.S. and are going to be taking it by storm while on the Inked Music Tour alongside Alesana and Vampires Everywhere! But this is only the beginning for the pop metal rockstars because their debut full-length "The Summoning" just hit the streets of the U.S. so there is nothing left but to welcome these guys to America with open arms once and for all! Bassist/Vocalist Davey Richmond talks about the upcoming touring trek, debut U.S. release, and plans for the follow-up release.

1. How did you come together?

Davey: We started in 2007 and we had all gone to school together so we played music for years so then we started the band playing our own music just started from there really.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Davey: The band name was something else but at the time we couldn't find something but a few years back we were at a bar all drunk with our friends in England so one of our friends had said "Why don't you call yourselves Glamour Of The Kill?" which did have a good ring to it. So with us we have those aspects of the heavier and clean vocals so the meaning would just be us as Glamour Of The Kill.

3. You guys have a unique sound, which bands would you say influence you the most?

Davey: I think we take our influences from everywhere like Metallica, Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden and Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine, As I Lay Dying, we're not scared to write music whether it'd be heavy or light like Katy Perry so it's good to just be open minded when today's music.

4. Tell me about the album name “The Summoning”?

Davey: For our first debut full-length we wanted a name that would get everyone involved and have us get noticed. So we wanted that higher power even the acoustic track on the album is also called "The Summoning" so that explains it.

5. Why was this album only available in the U.K. and not in the U.S.?

Davey: Well we didn't have a label in the U.S. to release it, we had just gotten signed with eOne Entertainment who had contacted us so everyone can now hear it in the states so everything is fitting really well. But everyone here in the U.K. are confused by it saying "Well I thought you already released it?" Well we did just not in the U.S.

6. For this U.S. release you changed the album artwork and the band's logo how come?

Davey: We wanted to give it a fresh look because we weren't happy with our old logo so we're going to be using this new one from now on.

7. What is your favorite song from The Summoning?

Davey: I got a lot of favorites and songs I'm proud of but it would have to be the first single "Feelin Alive" it has big riffs, catchy chorus so I'd have to say that one for sure.

8. What would you say is most different about this album?

Davey: I just think the whole sound of it has all of our influences known into it and you wouldn't expect my vocal style to be in it but I think it works really well.

9. You are about to start a fantastic US Tour with Alesana and Vampires Everywhere. If you could think of one thing you would like to accomplish the most through that tour what would that be?!

Davey: To meet and make new fans, new friends, show everyone who we are, we're Glamour Of The Kill!

10. What have you done to prepare yourselves for the tour?

Davey: We've practiced hard always putting so much into our live shows, we just arrived in the U.S. yesterday drinking a lot of beer and eating some good food so we're just preparing ourselves that way. The guys of Alesana party hard so we're getting ready for that haha.

11. How easy is it to keep the motivation going on a daily basis for Glamour Of The Kill?

Davey: It's quite easy really we love touring so we're going to give it all we got. It's just an amazing opportunity to be in America for the first time is awesome so we just gota live for the moment.

12. What else do you have planned for the rest of this year?

Davey: We finish this U.S. tour on November 7th then on the 8th we're going to be heading into the studio to start recording our second full-length album that is fully written, so we can't wait to have it done we're really excited about it.

13. What do you think you can bring to the music scene?

Davey: Just fresh new music so many bands who sound the same and there is only one Glamour Of The Kill and we're just different because I think there's a little bit of us in everyone.

Glamour Of The Kill's are UK's finest and are set to hit the big time right here, right now. With this they went on to write and record their debut release entitled "The Summoning". This consists their one hit wonder of a single "Feeling Alive" that just released a video to go with its catchy upbeat tune. Other tunes with a rather upbeat tone of a tune includes "Dying From The Inside", "Lost Souls", "Through The Eyes Of The Broken" and "Army Of The Dead", really captures the styling's similar to that of Bullet For My Valentine crosses Asking Alexandria. Having that partying sensational vibe of old school 80's hair metal meets today's modern metal - throwing out those guitar riffs with overpowering drum beats and chorus lines. Drawing from a deep well of hard-driving music with rebellious disregard for the restrictive “rules” of nitpicking subgenres, Glamour Of The Kill raise the flags high from here on out.

We are about writing tunes that we are passionate about, but aren't necessarily bound by a single genre. I guarantee that there is at least one song on this album that everyone can relate to and enjoy. This is only the beginning. Brace yourselves."
