PROSTHETIC RECORDS is proud to announce the signing of up-and-coming grind/thrash metallers RAMMING SPEED. The group’s full-length PROSTHETIC debut, “Doomed To Destroy, Destined To Die,” was recorded at GodCity Studios with Kurt Ballou (Converge, Kvelertak, Black Breath) and mastered at AudioSiege with Brad Boatwright (Sleep, High on Fire, SUNN O))), Tragedy). The album is tentatively set for a late spring/early summer release. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Drummer Jonah Livingston commented on the signing: ”We are incredibly excited to finally announce that we’ve signed on with Prosthetic Records, a label whose roster proves its dedication to all facets of heavy music. While our band has been extremely lucky to work with labels like Tankcrimes and Brutal Panda, this is an incredible opportunity and we’re ready for the step forward! See you on the road!”

Hailing from Boston, this heavy-hitting quintet — whose sound combines the charging rhythms of d-beat punk and the aggression of thrash with NWOBHM-worthy guitar harmonies and grind’s blinding speed — is no stranger to the metal scene, having previously released a variety of records, tapes and EPs through several labels. Their aggressive tour schedules across the U.S. and Europe with such notable acts as Trap Them, Holy Grail, Torche, Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, Phobia, Black Tusk and Saviours led Noisecreep to call the group “one of the hardest-working bands in heavy metal.” Fittingly, the band will spend April and May touring with Goatwhore, 3 Inches of Blood and Revocation in the northeast and midwest; full dates and details can be found below.

The band commented yesterday upon the new alliance; “We are extremely proud to be a part of the Prosthetic family and to work with one of the most genuine labels in the world! Having worked with Prosthetic on a managerial level during my Despised Icon years, I've come to understand that these guys don't compromise in terms of putting out creative music and are true believers of what's original and innovative. The variety of bands and the quality of music they released in the past years speaks for itself. We are very much honored that our music earned it's place among their ranks!"

And with the recent announcement of their ProgPower appearance, HEAVEN’S CRY also commented: "Going back to play the ProgPower Festival in Europe after 10 years is amazing, but headlining the first night of the festival is just unreal! We're glad to travel back to the old continent and this time, we will have a brand new album to present to the European public. It's going to be a blast to perform with some of the finest prog bands out there. ProgPower Festival is definitely the place to be for all fans of Progressive music!"

Today Ohio metal goliaths SKELETONWITCH are streaming “new” track, "Tragedy of Days" at Prosthetic Records’ official bandcamp page. Never formally released on record in the States, the tune was recorded during the Forever Abomination sessions with producer Matt Hyde and appeared on the Decibel Magazine Flexi-Disc series (Oct. 2011 issue) as well as the Japanese edition of Forever Abomination.

Comments guitarist Scott Hedrick of the track: “’Tragedy of Days’ was an epic instrumental by [guitarist] Nate [Garnette]'s former band Serkesoron. They disbanded after the untimely passing of Serkesoron's frontman, Thom Wright. Shortly after the band called it quits, SKELETONWITCH was born. We re-recorded the track and Chance [Garnette] addedvocals as a tribute to Thom, immortalizing him in song."
