As the world continues hanging on by a thread through pandemics, wildfires, climate change, social-political chaos and social media-fueled conspiracy theories, at least there’s Ministry to get us through. Industrial provocateur Al Jourgensen is ready to unleash his latest missives with Ministry’s groundbreaking 16th album, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES, slated for release March 1, 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Today, the six-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated multiplatinum act gives the first taste of the new material with the official release of “Goddamn White Trash,” featuring Pepper Keenan, a song that made its debut on Ministry’s headline tour earlier this year.

See the video for “Goddamn White Trash,” directed by Dean Karr, here: https://youtu.be/8imYWda6MOs.

Over the course of 9 tracks, Jourgensen is righteously cantankerous as ever about a f***ed up world ripe for a boot up its ass. Like always, he's merely looking around at the same dumpster fire we all are, but he's got a microphone and uses it well to rage on about the state of the world.

“Just like you or anybody else, I’m simply a passenger in this lifetime,” says Jourgensen. “I’m watching social changes, political changes, and economic changes, and I comment on them because I do have a First Amendment right. A lot of people say artists and athletes should shut up and play ball. No, I’m on this trip too. If I see something, I say something. That reflects on where each album goes. Instead of staying sedentary and singing about broken relationships, inner turmoil, or whatever is hurting this week, I comment on what’s going on from the perspective of a fellow passenger.”

Joined by Ministry’s current frontline of musicians – John Bechdel (keyboards), Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto (guitars), Roy Mayorga (drums) and Paul D’Amour (bass) – HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES also has a slew of special guest contributors including Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz, long-time collaborator and Lard companion Jello Biafra and Corrosion of Conformity frontman Pepper Keenan.

HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES will be available in three vinyl variants, a CD jewel case and digital/streaming platforms. The vinyl variants include: green with yellow splatter (in stores everywhere); blue with pink splatter (nuclear blast exclusive); red with white splatter (band/tour exclusive).

Pre-order HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES HERE.

The release of HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES follows Ministry’s acclaimed 2021 album Moral Hygiene that kickstarted another era for the band. The critically acclaimed LP wound up on year-end lists from the likes of Consequence of Sound and Loudwire, as the band continued to sell out venues coast-to-coast on the Industrial Strength tour.

Formed by bassist Paul Coppock and drummer Anina Barrett in 2019. Joined by frontman/guitarist AJ Willis, they beavered away on a host of demos, refined their line up, and played a handful of gigs.

Stuck at home due to the pandemic, they knuckled down and focused their efforts on their debut album. “Stranded”, which was produced, mixed and mastered by the rather talented John Mitchell at Outhouse Studios (Reading, UK), was released to favourable reviews in July 2021.

Following some favourable coverage, including pieces in Nightshift Magazine and some airtime on BBC Radio Oxford, the band decided to push things forward and recruit another guitarist to enhance their sound and live performances. guitarist Rob Mauro joined SLSG in early 2022.

The band then decamped back to Reading to re-enter the studio with John Mitchell to record their follow-up to “Stranded”. “Your Heroes Are All Dead” is set for a February 23rd 2023 release date, and see’s the band further refine their sound. Drawing on a heavier sound, the weightier production doesn’t take away from their upbeat sound, but instead adds further gravitas.

Bullet For My Valentine announce their self-titled, seventh album Bullet For My Valentine. The record will be released on October 22 via Spinefarm /Search & Destroy and sees the band open a bold new chapter. It's easily their heaviest, fiercest album so far. Watch the video for the new single "Knives," directed by Fiona Garden, HERE.

"This is the beginning of Bullet 2.0," says vocalist and lead guitarist Matt Tuck. "It signifies where we are right now. The music is fresh, it's aggressive, it's more visceral and passionate than it's ever been."

Bullet For My Valentine follows the success of their last album, 2018's Gravity, which saw the metal juggernauts' catalogue surpass 1 BILLION (yes, with a B!) streams in the U.S. That accomplishment solidifies Bullet's hard-earned status as one of the most elite bands in the hard rock scene.

On the last cycle, Bullet For My Valentine played their biggest shows to date, including a UK arena tour and a massive show at London's Alexandra Palace. But this time around, the band has taken things back to basics. Bullet For My Valentine is stacked with squealing solos and monstrous riffs that will delight fans — both new and old.

"I think it's the most ferocious side of Bullet For My Valentine that I've ever known," says lead guitarist Michael "Padge" Paget. "It's time for us to put out a really angry, heavy, aggressive record. I just can't wait to grimace on stage!"

"I wanted to come out guns blazing, fucking middle fingers flying, and just go for the throat," agrees Tuck. "I think this is a far more aggressive, intense part of Bullet For My Valentine. It's always been there. I've just never opened the floodgates on it. I want to take people's heads off in a metaphorical way."

True to their word, the first single, "Knives," arrives like a punch in the face.

Tuck began writing the album in September 2019 before the Coronavirus pandemic brought things screeching to a halt in early 2020. But in June 2020, Tuck and long-time producer, Carl Bown, who co-produced the band's 2015 album, Venom, and produced and mixed Gravity, picked up the pace again. Together, they hunkered down at Treehouse Studio in Chesterfield, where the remainder of the album was written.

Aptly self-titled, the band has triumphed, creating an album that will cement its place in the metal pantheon.

Pre-orders for Bullet For My Valentine's seventh studio album are now live, with an instant download of the first single, "Knives," and special bundle options, including a unique clipping from the backdrop used on the bands ‘Venom' world tour from 2015 – 2017, t-shirts, hoodies, gold & silver cassettes, and limited vinyl. US dark melodic metal masters WITHERFALL will release the highly anticipated follow-up to 2017’s "Nocturnes and Requiems" on November 2nd, 2018. The band reveals more details about this stunning new offering:

"A Prelude To Sorrow is a concept record, though not in the sense that most people have come to know the form. Ours is not a story where each song acts as a chapter. The inspiration lays in the supremely dark reality that was the passing of our drummer and one of our best friends Adam Sagan. These songs are raw emotional reflections, composed in the witching hours under the influence of wine and sorrow, while watching and helping our friend fight and ultimately lose his battle with Lymphoma. Nocturnes and Requiems was dedicated to Adam after the fact. A Prelude to Sorrow is written specifically about his and our personal tragedy. Like Nocturnes and Requiems the songs have been arranged to still have the peaks and valleys that any great record should. With "Prelude" these peaks just might be a little steeper and the valleys might be a little deeper, alternating between violence and beauty. The titles initials are an acronym for "Adam Paul Sagan", He came up with Nocturnes and Requiems so we suppose it is kind of fitting that he also inspired this title. Hope he doesn’t come knocking on our door for royalties. We hope that this will be a fitting requiem for our friend and talented musician."

Given its tragic background, main songwriters Joseph Michael (vocals, Sanctuary – live) and Jake Dreyer (guitars, Iced Earth) succeeded in perfectly combining the group’s technical proficiency with an appropriate eerie and somber atmosphere, manifesting also in Kristian Wåhlin’s majestic cover painting. For mix and mastering, WITHERFALL again worked with Chris "Zeuss" Harris (Sanctuary, Queensryche, Iced Earth).

For the past two decades, James Euringer, a.k.a Jimmy Urine, dear leader of the legendary Mindless Self Indulgence, has overfulfilled his many psychotronic rock and roll fantasies. But he ratchets things up to another magnitude with the arrival of his new project named simply "EURINGER", set for release on October 19th through Metropolis Records.

Featuring notable vocal contributions from Grimes, Serj Tankian of System Of A Down, Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance, and Jimmy’s loving wife Chantal Claret, the album is an inspired, ambitious and wild listening experience with its sixteen tracks woven together as one continuous piece of music that rolls like a surreal film soundtrack with audio vérité components. And amongst all this chaos, Jimmy even finds time to cover Kate Bush and The Doobie Brothers.

"I was having fun exploring my brain," Jimmy explains. "And I wanted to invite my friends to have fun with me immersing myself in another time and space, bit by bit, gaining its form from my daily life into a surreal stream of consciousness." More specifically, he continues "I wanted it to sound as if Depeche Mode hired J. Dilla and DJ Premier to drop loops while Frank Zappa produced, and then I came in and shit all over it."

Eagle Vision will release Evanescence, Synthesis Live on DVD+CD, Blu-Ray+CD and Digital Formats.

Recorded late last Autumn during the band’s critically-acclaimed Synthesis tour, the concert was captured in state-of-the-art 4K by Director P.R. Brown & produced by Craig Ziogas/CTGS Productions.

The songs span Evanescence’s 20 year history to now, reinvented with full orchestra over a deep electronic landscape. Synthesis is a soulful and sweepingly grandiose event to witness live. Seated at the piano, Amy Lee opens the set with a single note that builds into the instrumental Overture, seamlessly leading into the crushing wave that is Never Go Back. Bring Me To Life, the anthem that brought most people to discover Evanescence in the first place, reaches a new level of power and emotion with a pounding, electric heartbeat and soaring orchestral accompaniment, while songs like My Immortal, Lithium and Lost In Paradise feel like heartbreaking scenes from a beautiful, timeless film.

Amy Lee’s incredible vocal range and the group’s expressive, multi-layered music naturally lends itself to orchestral accompaniment, shining a light on the singular beauty of the arrangements by composer David Campbell and conducted by Susie Seiter -creating a truly dynamic, cinematic sound. Lee has called this, “a passion project”, which undoubtedly shines through. The sense of occasion is not lost on the band or audience alike in this unique and highly emotive show.

Evanescence recently brought their Synthesis live tour around the world, delivering highly-acclaimed performances throughout Europe, North America and Australia. This summer, the band teamed with violinist Lindsey Stirling on a tour of North American amphitheatres, one of Live Nation’s Top 10 tours of the summer.

A decade after the release of "Black Wings of Destiny" - the most recent acclaimed full-length release by DRAGONLORD, the passion project of Testament guitarist Eric Peterson - the wait is finally over for fans of the high-fantasy symphonic black/death metal project. Peterson is thrilled to reveal details regarding the long-awaited third DRAGONLORD album, entitled "Dominion". The album is scheduled to hit stores on September 21, 2018 via Spinefarm Records, and will feature eight tracks of devastatingly unrelenting black and death metal assault. Digital and physical pre-orders are live today via: Physical + Merch HERE and Digital HERE.

Get your first taste of "Dominion" now by streaming the album's title track via a new lyric video here: https://youtu.be/zweLMniS-fQ.

DRAGONLORD mastermind/vocalist/guitarist/bassist Eric Peterson says: "I'm super stoked for you all to finally hear "Dominion"! This song has all the arsenal to engage any metal appetite! From the first drum cannon-walloping performed by Alex Bent, to the melodic discorded sounds of my guitars and haunting choirs performed by Celtic singer Leah, entering in my lyrical blackened satanic tongue followed by unholy orchestrated strings and violas performed by Mr. Livingston - this song has it all! A beautiful violent storm whirls your way! Breaking down to two old school influenced guitar solos voiced before and after some cleaner melodic singing, only to be sucked back into the vortex... Enjoy!"

"Dominion" features Eric Peterson on vocals, guitar and bass, Lyle Livingston (Psypheria) on orchestrated keys and pianos, Alex Bent (Trivium) on drums, and notable fantasy metal singer Leah - who has performed/recorded with members of Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Delain and others - on female vocals and choirs.

As aural the gates to "Dominion" creak open on the first track, "Entrance," you descend into the dark world of DRAGONLORD and there's no turning back. "Dominion" explores themes of darkness owning and influencing these times we now live in, and things that have come to pass. It also delves into other eras, real and imagined. The pummeling begins with the title track, "Dominion", welcoming all who dare enter into an eternity of misfortune. Then it's into "Ominous Premonition", which Peterson likens to "the soundtrack to the gates of hell". The track "The Northlanders" is about brutal 11th century Northmen, while "The Discord of Melkor" will thrill Lord of the Rings fans with an untold tale-- "my take on Tolkien's "Silmarillion," the first age of the Lord of the Rings saga genesis," says Peterson. Then there's the surprise of the slower, Black Sabbath-influenced duet with "my amazing Celtic vocalist friend and collaborator Leah," Peterson explains about "Love of the Damned," an abstract piece that still explores a love story - with the devil, of course. "Almost like a switch-up story of if Beatrice from "Dante's Inferno" did fall for the Prince of Darkness!"

Dominion's eight songs create a deep and heady musical journey rife with meaning and menace, from the blackest and loudest recesses of Eric Peterson's mind.

TRACKLISTING:

1. Entrance
2. Dominion
3. Ominous Premonition
4. Lamia
5. Love of the Damned
6. Northlanders
7. The Discord of Melkor
8. Serpents of Fire

Recorded at Trident Studios near Peterson's Northern California home, "Dominion" took about four years to complete, between Testament tours and albums. Peterson produced the album with an assist from engineer/mixer Juan Urteaga (Testament, Machine Head, M.O.D.), and mastering by famed producer/engineer Jens Bogren of Fascination Street Studios in Sweden.

If the road to "Dominion" was long, it's only because Peterson strives for perfection. He says, "The biggest obstacle was getting the vocal patterns and lyrics right; telling the story of the music. Maybe I was a little too picky, but at the end of the day I'm glad we didn't settle for things that I wasn't feeling right about."

Eric Peterson is tuned to E Flat on "Dominion", and used his two favorite Les Pauls for rhythm and some solos; his Ritchie Blackmore Fender Strat for other solos, as well as his signature Dean Old Skull Flying V. "I used a lot of different guitars to get various sounds. I didn't want my tone to be too close to Testament, but wanted to still maintain my signature sound. I really felt I needed to lay down the kind of stuff I do on my own - but not necessarily on records," he explains. "I'm pretty stoked of the outcome on the soloing end."

Peterson formed DRAGONLORD in 2000 as its singer and guitarist (with keyboardist Lyle Livingston and now-ex-members Steve Di Giorgio of Testament and Jon Allen of Sadus), and notes that the growth from DRAGONLORD's first two records to the cinematic triumph and brutal blast-beats of "Dominion" has been immense. "Dominion'"s stellar, complex, brutally symphonic metal is triumphant in its execution, bringing together layers of meaning and musicality into an unholy whole.

"Dominion" will more than satisfy the legions greedy for DRAGONLORD's beautifully pulverizing metal. Within the highly detail-driven but heavy-as-hell band, Peterson has total dominion.

Stay tuned for information on the official DRAGONLORD comic, "THE BURNER", which is scheduled to be released during this year's San Diego Comic Con!

Oxford mathcore trio MASIRO have been captivating listeners with their own blend of math-prog-metal since the tail end of 2011. Originally formed with Chris Pethers on drums and Mike Bannard on guitar, the twosome wanted to push the envelope and consequently hooked up with Chris Hutchinson Mogg (ex 50ft Panda) to help fulfil their unique vision of producing a sound that is not only interesting and off kilter, but hypnotic and alluring. Although influenced by everyone from Meshuggah and Primus, through to Mars Volta, MASIRO bear their own markings, evidenced in the shape of their brand new EP, "Geodesics", which is out on Friday September 7th 2018.

MASIRO spent their formative years shaping their set and focusing on their art. By 2016, the three-piece created their first EP, Technocologist Unknown, which caught the ears of Louder Than War, Alt Dialogue, Can This Even Be Called Music, The Punk Archive, and many others. Shows with Poly Math, Core of IO, Iran Iran and Kusanagi have also only furthered the band's reputation, and so too did last year's appearance at Oxford's renowned Audioscope Festival. By 2017, the band were ready to lay down ideas for their sophomore EP. After many months of work, the trio put the final
touches to the record in the Spring of 2018. Entitled Geodesics, the EP features Charlie Cruickshank on saxophone for the song, K-Ursa, and long-time friend and collaborator, Lee Riley, supplying drone material for the track, Intermission: Graveyard Orbit.

Geodesics is a record that displays the breadth of MASIRO's ability across six distinct cuts, panning from subtle introspection to ferocious catharsis. Inventive and expansive, MASIRO have amalgamated a sound that is imaginative and ambitious. The prog-math combo are announcing key shows throughout the Summer, so stay glued for social media announcements, and watch them soar.

The Diraxy were formed in 2014 and after some self-produced work they were signed to give life to The Great Escape working in studio with Mat Den, artistic producer of people known as Kristian Marr guitarist of Amy Winehouse, Ed Graham drummer of Darkness and Alexi Crhistou performer for Pete Doherty (Libertines).

"The Great Escape" was released on July 6, 2017 in Italy and very recently also in the pioneering Chinese market where Fil1933 is the first and only Italian label present.

"The Great Escape", is a concept album that was created to tell about real events in August 2014 in the Sinjar mountain region (Iraq) and is inspired by the true story of Jinan already told in the book "Jinan esclave de Daech" and is a tribute to a life story that has deeply affected the Diraxy. In this beautiful album Diraxy wanted to tell in their own way this piece of history that few people still talk about it ...Diraxy together with Giulio Oldrini, a Milanese director, have also made a video of the song "The Way Out". "The Great Escape" is available in all major digital stores and in physical format.

Anyone who has heard Anthony Anzaldo’s endowments to Ceremony’s sound knows that he has a story of his own waiting to be told. Wait no longer—Anzaldo has announced a follow-up to his 2017 single "We All Die Alone" under the moniker ANTHONY. Entitled "Get Over U", the EP runs rampant with the sugarcane sweet vocal harmonies and Morriconesque guitar tones. Watch a video for the EP’s title track today right HERE.

"It’s unfortunate what we allow to happen to our ourselves when we are driven by emotion. There are things that we wouldn’t otherwise justify and would advise against when consoling a friend of loved one," Anzaldo says of the EP’s inspiration. ""Get Over U" is a state of panic where we ignore what we know is right for us and instead act under the influence of false intuition."

ANTHONY’s self-assured blend of opulent riffs, art-rock lilt, and americana glamour makes for a radical departure from his well-known co-founding status and guitarist for Ceremony. As members of the California punk outfit splayed across the country, ANTHONY found it essential to crystallize his new artistic identity one song at a time. The crops of these auditory diary entries comprise "Get Over U", four tracks recorded by by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor, Hard Girls).

"Get Over U" is due out on May 18 via Anzaldo’s imprint First Letter Press. An extremely limited run of 12' vinyl copies will also be available for purchase - order HERE. Check out the artwork and tracklisting below.
