The 2026 concert calendar just got even busier for Hunnu Rock pioneers The Hu and Cello Metal standouts Apocalyptica, as both bands announce today that they'll be hitting the road for a run of shows this May and June. The tour kicks off on May 12 in Silver Spring, MD and will take them across the country before wrapping in Anaheim, CA on June 7. Joining The Hu and Apocalyptica will be platinum-selling Finnish rock band The Rasmus. Check out the dates below!

Innovative Mongolian rock group and global phenomenon The HU continue to push the limits of rock and bring the world along with them on their latest single “The Real You,” out today (January 23) via Better Noise Music. With this new song, they’re bringing Western music components to the forefront with a heavy, atmospheric sound, a hard-charging rhythm, and gritty and positively menacing vocals. The track takes their Hunnu Rock, which blends traditional Mongolian instrumentation and throat singing with contemporary rock music, to an entirely new and breathtaking level.

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson today announced a co-headlining tour across North America, taking place this summer. The tour unites two of rock’s most recognizable icons and consummate showmen for what promises to be a blockbuster 21-date run. It kicks off on August 20 in West Palm Beach, FL at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre, rolls through major markets such as Boston, Chicago, Detroit, and more before concluding on September 20 in Concord, CA at Toyota Pavilion at Concord. The tour will also feature Gold-certified Mongolian metal collective The Hu and Multiplatinum-selling Los Angeles industrial rock stalwarts Orgy as special guests on all dates.

This same time last year in 2023 was when British heavy metal titans Iron Maiden had announced and sold tickets for their upcoming tour entitled “The Future Past Tour 2024”, where they would play songs off the albums “Somewhere In Time” and “Senjutsu”, along with some fan favorites. This tour would commence in fall 2024, playing in October, running into November, making the third stop upon said tour in Los Angeles, California. Playing a sold out show at the Kia Forum, where fans young and old would come together to enjoy Iron Maiden!

Opening would be Mongolian folk metal band The Hu, whose performance would be quite interesting. Performing a selection of tracks with traditional  Mongolian instrumentation including the morin khuur, the tovshuur, and throat singing, as the band calls it “hunnu rock”. A term inspired by the Xiongnu, an acident nomadic empire based in Mongolia proper, known as Hünnü in Mongolian. Such songs as “Shoog shoog”, “Wolf Totem”, “Black Thunder”, and “This Is Mongol” were played, having the crowd be enthusiastic about it all really. Everyone giving the band at least some recognition that they enjoyed what was being performed. This act being quite the interesting one.

Next would be headliners Iron Maiden playing around 15 songs total for their set list, a lot of the songs being off the two albums mentioned prior, with other numbers like “Can I Play With Madness”, “Fear of the Dark”, “Iron Maiden”, and “The Trooper”. Some songs off the two albums were “Caught Somewhere in Time”, “Days of Future Past”, “Heaven Can Wait”, “The Time Machine”, and “Death of the Celts”, among many others. The crowd was into the material so much so, that several mini mosh pits formed, with the crowd singing along, clapping, chanting, and just having a good time altogether.

Mongolian rock sensation THE HU are honored to announce they will join heavy metal icons IRON MAIDEN as direct support on the band’s upcoming North American leg of their “The Future Past World Tour 2024” this fall. The tour will start on Friday, October 4 in San Diego, CA and stretch across both coasts before ending Sunday, November 17 in San Antonio, TX. 

THE HU have today (March 25) shared a live video for the track “Triangle” from their 2022 sophomore album RUMBLE OF THUNDER (via Better Noise Music) featuring performance footage take from their co-headlining U.S. tour with labelmates Asking Alexandria last summer. Watch it on YouTube HERE.

Today, breakthrough Mongolian rock act The HU announced details of their long-awaited sophomore album Rumble of Thunder, recorded via Better Noise Music, and released a new single called “Black Thunder” along with an official music video. The band’s 12-track second studio album is set for release September 2 and includes “This Is Mongol,” their eco-conscious single released in May, that now boasts over a million streams in less than two months. “Black Thunder” incorporates Mongolian values, telling a powerful story of battle, faith, and death lyrically and visually. The band has been teasing new music from their sophomore album on their headlining Black Thunder Tour, at Coachella, and soon at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, in Australia and New Zealand, on tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Megadeth, and later in Europe and the UK - a full list of dates below. Vocalist Gala shared, ““Black Thunder” is the crown jewel of our second album. The music video is split into two parts and conveys the core values of men through visuals. Our producer Dashka chose a unique location in Mongolia to shoot the video, where we had a great time riding the horses in the vast grassland of our countryside. We hope that our pride in our culture shines through, as we aimed to bring viewers joy and a piece of our culture through this video.” Speaking on their next studio album, he continued, “Our second album will include “Black Thunder,” along with many new songs. We can’t wait for you to listen and enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it.”

The HU’s last official video was set in the Mojave Desert and highlighted their unique core values of natural preservation and spiritual connection with the earth. The video for “Black Thunder” also features an epic backdrop, this time in Mongolia. Directed by Erdenebileg Ganbold and producer Dashka, the video is action packed, taking the viewers through battle and a funeral procession ritual.

Earlier this year, The HU impressed various media with powerful, energizing performances on their Black Thunder Tour and at Coachella, with SF Gate’s Ariana Bindman writing, “The last time I fell in love, it wasn’t with a person. It was with a seven-piece Mongolian heavy metal band belting out guttural war cries while playing Motorhead-style riffs with traditional horsehead fiddles, electric guitars and flutes. Behind me, people of all backgrounds bob their heads, raise their fists and scream in harmony. I’m watching The HU at Coachella, the first music festival I’ve attended since the world forever changed. And they’re f—king epic.”

This summer, The HU will hit stages across North America, as they head out on tour with Megadeth, Five Finger Death Punch, and Fire From The Gods. The tour starts in Portland, Oregon on August 19, spanning over 30 dates, and closes out on October 15 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Better Noise Music recording artists, The HU debut  their ‘hunnu rock’ cover of Metallica’s “Sad But True” today, along with a music video.   The track is a unique take on the beloved classic that has over 142 Million streams on Spotify alone.

The HU’s distinct style allows listeners to hear this song in a completely new way. The band added traditional Mongolian instrumentation along with their signature style of throat singing and swapped out “Sad But True”’s English lyrics for their native language, Mongolian. The same distorted guitar melody from the original song helps drive the song forward, but the originality and musical prowess of The HU’s distinguishing sound makes this track stand out on its own.
