Algeria’s Imarhan are excited to announce their upcoming tour of the United States, the 5-piece band’s first North American tour since opening for Kurt Vile in 2016. This spring finds Imarhan touring in support of their soon to be released new album "Temet", out on City Slang on February 23rd 2018. The dates will take them to both coasts and places in between, including shows in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, New Orleans, and a performance at the 2018 Levitation Festival in Austin, TX.

In conjunction with their tour announcement Imarhan have released the entrancing takeaway acoustic video for "Mas-abok", from independent Parisian filmmaker Vincent Moon’s upcoming documentary on the band entitled "Children of Tam". Moon followed the band for two weeks, documenting hours of music, pictures and conversations in their hometown of Tamanrasset and at neighboring mountain ranges, specifically Assekrem (Tamashek for "World’s End"), a high plateau in the Hoggar Mountains of Southern Algeria. The result is an hour-long documentary film, which serves as a portrait of the band and their hometown Tamanrasset, for which they are becoming ambassadors.

Algeria’s Imarhan are thrilled to share the video for their new single "Ehad Wa Dagh", which premiered on The Line of Best Fit. Filmed at the legendary Parisian 80's disco club Le Memphis with interspersed images of their Algerian home, TLOBF describe the song and video as "an all-encompassing outing with psychedelic twinges that grabs you by the lapels and drags you into a trance." The upbeat tempo in the song belies the message behind the lyrics however, which explore alienation and people losing connection with one another. Check out the video right HERE.

In January of 2017, independent Parisian filmmaker Vincent Moon set out to Algeria equipped with only a camera. "I never ever film with an object in mind," Moon shares, "It’s more about letting it go and let[ting] the object materialize by itself."

The object in this case became Algerian band Imarhan, who were in the middle of writing their forthcoming new record, "Temet". Moon followed the band for two weeks, documenting hours of music, pictures and conversations in their hometown of Tamanrasset and at neighboring mountain ranges, specifically Assekrem (Tamashek for "World’s End"), a high plateau in the Hoggar Mountains of Southern Algeria. The result is an hour-long documentary film entitled "Children of Tam", which serves as a portrait of the band and their hometown Tamanrasset, for which they are becoming ambassadors.

"Children of Tam" will premiere in February 2018 at the Clermont Ferrand Film Festival. Imarhan is thrilled to share an excerpt featuring a live video of one of their new songs, "Tamudre." Imarhan’s new album, "Temet", will be released on February 23, 2018 on City Slang. The band have also announced their performance at the 2018 Levitation Festival in Austin, TX and will announce additional North American dates in the coming weeks.
