Buried In Verona have a message for anyone that has ever doubted them;

Go fuck yourself.

That message is delivered alongside the news that the Sydney metal band will release their fourth studio album, Faceless, on March 7 via UNFD. Fans have already had a taste of the record via it's searing fan-track "Splintered", which was released late last year. Next week a second music video will be released for the lead single "Illuminate". The two videos are Part I and II of a story that watches a group of Faceless characters brutally beat and torture the band and their people, depicting what happens when people fight back.

That message is essentially what Faceless is all about. Since the release of their 2012 album, Notorious, Buried In Verona have become the most polarising band in the Australian Heavy Music Community, simultaneously gaining popularity around the world while getting flamed from their online detractors. Notorious debuted at #20 on the ARIA Charts in June 2012, and saw the band get their first ARIA Nomination in Hard Rock category. They packed out rooms around Australia upon release and went on to support The Amity Affliction on their arena tour. What followed was US Management, a worldwide release and multiple UK, Europe and North American tours with artists like Motionless in White, Attila, Emmure and Chelsea Grin.

With every success, more and more people have taken shots at BIV. Whether it's jealousy or just straight up bandwagon jumping, online fans have attached everything from the way they look, to their lyrics, music, fans and the way they promote themselves online. Other bands have even attempted Twitter beefs with them, while fans trolled a Facebook event for one of their tours with almost 5000 comments about whether they "deserved" the tour or not.

"We read a lot of things people say about us and most of the time it doesn't bother us," says vocalist Brett Anderson, "but when people say that our fans are fucked or that they are lame, that’s when it really gets to us. We aren't going to change the way we are, and we hope our fans never change the way they are to appease people who like to talk shit. This record is as much a 'fuck you' to our detractors, as it is a message to people to keep being themselves no matter what."

The power of the message is delivered with the kind of energy and brutality you'd expect from a well-weathered metal band that has been around the world and back many times. While "Splintered" is a short and heavy burst of vitriol, the forthcoming singles "Illuminate" and "Set Me On Fire" will also show a more hard rock side to the band. Faceless was recorded in the Michigan with American Producer Joey Sturgis, whose work with Asking Alexandria and Blessthefall has made him one of the most sort after heavy music producers in the world.

Fans will get to hear "Illuminate" and watch the video next Thursday January 23 via the UNFD youtube account.

Faceless will be available Friday 7 March via UNFD, preorders available Friday 24th of January via iTunes, 24Hundred, Impericon and MerchNow.

UNFD is excited to announce the signing of one of the most influential metal bands of the last decade, Misery Signals. After five long years since their last release, Milwaukee metal band Misery Signals will return on July 26th with one of the year’s most anticipated albums, Absent Light.

Foregoing the traditional record release model, Misery Signals opted to work directly with fans to crowd-fund the new album. The band had not only reached their funding goal, but had surpassed it by double the amount.  The Support was a definite sign that fans were eagerly awaiting new music from the seminal band. "We were floored by the enthusiasm from the people supporting the album,” guitarist Ryan Morgan says.  “It's a good feeling to have an audience matching the enthusiasm we are putting into it's creation - and they haven't even heard it yet!  It'll all come together when they get to hear how insane this album is."

After Ferret Music was absorbed by a major label in 2010, Misery Signals were left to fend for themselves and took a hiatus to pursue individual side projects with singer Karl Schubach focusing on metal outfit Solace, guitarist Ryan Morgan founding the hardcore/punk band Burning Empires and drummer Branden Morgan starting The Company We Keep with Brian Southall (The Receiving End Of Sirens) and Justin Pierre (Motion City Soundtrack).

Now, the band that redefined a genre will return reinvigorated with a full time focus on the business at hand, and a determination to push the boundaries of hardcore-metal even further than before...

Misery Signals’ “Absent Light” will be released on Friday 26 July via UNFD. Pre-order available now via store.weareunified.com

After the massive worldwide success of the debut album “Heartbound” in 2011, Dream On Dreamer will release their much anticipated sophomore record "Loveless" on Friday 28 June via UNFD.

The first taste of music will be unveiled exclusively on triple j's short.fast.loud program this Wednesday 8 May when the band reveal the lead single "The World In Front Of Me". "Loveless" was produced and mixed by guitarist Callan Orr, while vocalist Marcel Gadacz designed the artwork and imagery for the record. This DIY mentality is a rarity for such a young band within the Metalcore genre and illustrates the complete creative control that they have asserted on the new album.

"Loveless" will be Dream On Dreamer’s first record as a five piece, after a lineup shuffle saw them move keyboardist Daniel Jungwirth to bass, as well as the addition of new clean vocalist, Zachary Britt, into the fold. Britt made his debut with DOD as one of the headliners at Push Over Festival in March, before completing a 30 date European tour, which included the band's first ever headline shows in Russia.

Relentless touring has become an uncompromising part of the Dream On Dreamer lifestyle. While lead vocalist Marcel Gadacz (Germany) and drummer Aaron Fiocca (USA) are not native to Australia, the entire band has spent most of the last two years playing shows around the world. They have toured multiple times across the USA, Asia and Europe, with stopovers in Australia to play the Soundwave Festival and headline dates in between. They've done massive tours ranging from 8-40 shows alongside the who's who of modern metal and hardcore - Avenged Sevenfold, The Devil Wears Prada, Attack Attack, Memphis May Fire, Sleeping With Sirens, We Came As Romans, Pierce The Veil and many more. On top of that, they've managed to release three EPs, an album and a DVD in a short space of time.

"Loveless" is the first time the band has been able to really focus on writing music with their intense touring schedule. The extra work and effort shows, and fans and critics alike will be rewarded with Dream On Dreamer delivering their strongest album to date; A definitive statement about what they've learnt from the last three years of ridiculously hard work.

Stay tuned for more exciting news leading up to the release and check out Short.Fast.Loud on Wednesday for the debut of the incredible lead single “The World In Front Of Me”.
Loveless is out Friday 28 June through UNFD.

UNFD is incredibly proud to announce the signing of Dead Letter Circus to the label. The new partnership will see the release of the progressive rock band’s highly anticipated sophomore album in August 2013. The announcement comes with the news that their debut album ‘This Is The Warning’ has been certified Gold as of early April.

Dead Letter Circus have ascended to the forefront of alternative rock, their fresh take striking a chord both locally and abroad. Their 2010 debut album ‘This is the Warning’ hit #2 on the national ARIA charts and spawned 6 radio singles on its way to passing the 35,000 sales mark. The record was voted by fans into triple j’s Hottest 100 Australian Albums Of All Time, and Red Bull listed the band as one of the Top 11 Rock Acts in the world.

But their live performance is where DLC have built their reputation – they’ve sold out multiple national tours in Australia, most recently filling rooms earlier this month on yet another run across the capitals of the country. They’ve played on festivals around the country including Big Day Out, Pyramid Rock, Breath Of Life, Festival of the Sun and many more. They’ve also found time to do stadium shows with Linkin Park and Muse, headline festivals in India and tour right across the USA, where their SXSW performances in 2012 helped them create waves across the world.

UNFD has had some huge success in recent months with hit albums from heavy outfits The Amity Affliction (#1 ARIA Chart) and Northlane (#3 ARIA Chart). The addition of Dead Letter Circus firmly establishes UNFD as the premier hard rock and metal brand in Australia, while also diversifying the niche the label is carving out.

A&R Luke Logemann has released this statement regarding the signing. "Jaddan (owner of UNFD) and I have loved Dead Letter Circus for a long time - we even tried to sign them many years ago to our old label, Boomtown Records. That passion for the band never changed, and when we saw the opportunity to work with them, we did everything we could to make it happen. The precision they play with, the dedication to their craft and the maturity of their song writing makes DLC a one in a million band."

The band has a similar sentiment on the partnership, with vocalist Kim Benzie stating: "In our opinion Unified is the most progressive label in the country.  They are thriving within the new model of the music industry and just seem to go from strength to strength with every step they take."
Dead Letter Circus have been recording their follow up album over the last six months and are currently putting the finishing touches on it. They’ve reconvened with long time producer and collaborator Forrester Savell to handle production and mixing duties, creating the best music that the five piece has delivered to date.

The first taste of new music will come next month, with all the usual build up for fans that loved the Project Dead Letter campaign in 2010. UNFD will be making official album announcements in shortly, ahead of what will be one of the biggest Rock / Metal releases of 2013.
