In almost three years time Flordia's Modern Day Escape will be releasing the follow-up to 2009's "House of Rats". In preparation for the new album "Under The Gun" the band will be hitting the road on the "Something Wicked This Way Comes Tour" starting January 5th at the Glass House in Pomona, California and wrapping up January 22nd at the Key Club in Hollywood, California. Joining them will be Wednesday 13 and Aiden! You can purchas your tickets HERE. More tours will soon follow. Frontman James Vegas conducted an interview with High Wire Daze Magazine which you can check out the interview HERE. The band is in the progress of making a new music video and completing the finishing touches and getting ready for their upcoming tour come the New Year. You can expect "Under The Gun" to drop March 27th 2012 released via Standby Records featuring newest members Sandra Alva on the drums and Mark Burn on guitar.

Florida metal rockers Modern Day Escape are ready to release their sophomore album "Under the Gun" this summer. This will be the second release on Standby Records and the follow-up to 2008's "House of Rats", not only is the band releasing brand new material; but is including brand new members Sandra Alva former drummer of Black Veil Brides and guitarist/vocalist Mark Burn to add to the Modern Day Escape family. Expect a new album, new shows, and everything new from MODERN DAY ESCAPE!

Modern Day Escape a five piece act straight out of Florida comprised of vocalist James Vegas, guitarists Nxe and Marti Rubels, bassist Shep and drummer Corey, have made a name for themselves since their formation. But since then they have released their self-titled EP and a full-length LP "House of Rats". Both of which have sold amazingly well since their releases. But after doing countless tours their last being a part of The Sacred Ceremony Tour several things occurred after this tour ended.

Headliners Black Veil Brides had to let go of their drummer Sandra Alvarenga replacing her with a male counterpart Christian Coma taking over the drum patrol. If that’s not enough even Modern Day Escape had to face some band arrangements. Former drummer Corey has decided that he needs to focus on his family right now and the rest of Modern Day Escape wish him the best in everything he does in the future. They considered him as a brother to them.

So could you take a guess as to who the replacement for Modern Day Escape is? Drum roll….please Sandra Alvarenga! Yes indeed former Black Veil Brides drummer will now be calling Modern Day Escape her sanctuary. Modern Day Escape is excited to have Sandra on board and they can’t wait for everyone to see what’s in store for the future!

As of right now, Modern Day Escape is ready to head into the studio to record the follow-up to their 2009 release “House of Rats”. Be sure to follow them on Twitter @officialmde for new updates, and possible some brand new song clips. So now all we can do is wait and see what happens next.

So by now, you may all have heard the news regarding Sandra.

Often in life there will come a time when those that we love will find a need to distance themselves, whether it be to better themselves personally or to explore other facets of life. This is a difficult moment for both parties, especially when they mean so much to you.
At that moment all of us have a choice to make…do we let the loss of one person end an entire Army…or do we solider on?

With that being said, Sandra has expressed to us a need to move on with her musical career and follow new paths. Over time her interests have changed musically from that of the direction BVB is moving in and has decided to explore all that she can to those means. We’ve had many discussions about this leading up to her departing and tried to find ways to make it work, but we just both decided to move on amicably and support each other in our musical adventures. This of course found all of us in Black Veil Brides forced to then make a choice.
Organically this band has grown to become something more than 5 individuals, it represents the hopes and dreams of a unified Army. This band is not Andy Six, This band is not Ashley Purdy, Jake Pitts or Jinxx…This band is Black Veil Brides, an entity that is far more than a band. This band includes all of the fans who have become an Army and for all we know in our hearts, we owe it to EACH and EVERY one of you to never let anyone or anything stop us from doing what we set out to do; be the bastion for those who are misunderstood and demonized.

Sandra means the world to us, we love her with all of our hearts and she will continue to be one of the most talented and kind people that the 4 of us have come in contact with.
Black Veil Brides will continue to support her in all that she does in every endeavor. We know the deep love and adoration that so many of you have for Sandra and that can never be replaced. All that we want to do is, continue this band for you, the fans.

Therefore, in moving forward we will be joined on our upcoming tours by an incredible musician named Christian “CC” Coma. He is one of the most phenomenal drummers we have ever met and has a deep respect and understanding for all that Sandra has done in Black Veil Brides.
Below you will find a video of Christian playing a quick drum solo, as you can see he is more than apt to fill in for us as needed. Please give CC a warm reception into the BVB family.

So again, we apologize to all of those who will miss Sandra, we will as well…but we will never falter or let anything stop the BVB Army.
