The untold story of the essential, genre-defying ‘90's industrial project Circle of Dust. Explore the early career of visionary artist, composer, musician and producer Klayton, who would later gain recognition for his category transcending project Celldweller.

Assembled from over 30 interviews and dozens of hours of VHS footage from Klayton’s personal archive, get access to never-before-released videos & stories on the history of Circle of Dust. Journey back to Circle of Dust’s inception, the signing of Klayton’s first record deal, assembly of a live band, subsequent legal battles and eventual dissolution of Circle of Dust in 1998, to the formation and independent success of Celldweller. The story ultimately comes full circle, with the resurrection of Circle of Dust in 2015.

Descend into the history of Circle of Dust, spanning over two decades, for an exclusive behind the scenes look at each album, starting with the debut Self-Titled Circle of Dust album (1992/1995), Brainchild (1992/1994), Metamorphosis remix album (1993) and Disengage (1998), culminating with Machines of Our Disgrace (2016).

With over 2.5 hours of bonus footage on the 2-Disc DVD set, including live VHS bootlegs, a mini-documentary featuring Klayton’s collaborative side project Argyle Park, an in-studio expose on the gear and production of Circle of Dust, lyric and music videos, Full Circle is a testament to Klayton’s enduring vision, creativity, and persistence.

Genre-defying electronic-rock artist/producer Celldweller has collaborated with U.K. Drum & Bass artist/producer Muzzy on the new single "New Age," out now on Canadian independent record label Monstercat. New York rock band The Plague deliver an intense remix of Circle of Dust's "Embracing Entropy" (feat. Celldweller), as frontman and writer/producer David Adam Monroe re-vamps the entire track, more akin to a cover than a remix. Re-recording and re-producing all the primary instruments, from guitars and bass to drums and synths, the track transforms from an electronic opus to an aggressive onslaught.

"When I got asked to do this remix, I was blown away. Celldweller and FiXT were a huge influence on me making 'The Plague' record, so it was incredible honor to work on this Cirle of Dust remix.  I loved a lot of the drum phrases in the original so I tried to preserve some of them, and of course slap on some fuzz guitars!” - The Plague

In addition to the debut Celldweller album coming to vinyl for the first time, we are excited to announce a new & improved volume of Beta Cessions, featuring 26 demos & rarities from the debut album! Beta Cessions: Demos & Rarities brings together a fan-focused collection of 26 songs, many of which have gone previously unreleased. Such mixes include early demo versions of "Switchback" with never-before-heard lyrics, as well as early demos with alternate arrangements and musical production for "Afraid This Time," "The Last Firstborn," "Stay With Me" (Unlikely) and "Uncrowned." Other unreleased versions of tracks include an 'electronic-instrumental-mix' of "Symbiont" and a Karaoke version of "So Sorry To Say" featuring the instrumental version the song, but with backing vocals included.

Beta Cessions: Demos & Rarities delivers on the rarities side as well, bringing full digital/streaming access to previously released but rare tracks, such as the 2001 alternate mixes of "Switchback" (mixed by Ben Grosse) and "Stay With Me" (Unlikely) (mixed by Scott Humphrey & Frank Gryner). The album also includes many of the rare 2000 'Detroit' mixes, including the tracks "Switchback," "Afraid This Time," "Under My Feet," and "So Sorry To Say." Beta Cessions: Demos & Rarities also delivers the first ever digital release of the 3 original 1999 demos from the Celldweller Limited Edition EP in 2000 along with Klayton's electronic focused tracks "Kemikal" and "Beginning of The End."

Electronic-rock artist/producer Celldweller has announced the release of a collection of remixes from psy-trance group Growing Machines, available September 29th. The release marks the first time the remixes are being made available on streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer.

The single "Own Little World" (Growling Machines Remix) is available immediately, with remixes of "Switchback," "The Last Firstborn" and "Frozen" coming September 29th.

Originally released in limited fashion in the mid 00s, the remixes are resurfacing now, due to the explosion of music streaming demand in South America. Growling Machines and Celldweller performed together live in Brazil in front of a festival audience of over 20,000 people in 2007.

Celldweller has also released a new music video for the shoegaze track "Echoes."

"This song ("Echoes") really captured the shoegaze sound I have loved for years. Where I had sprinkled elements of shoegaze throughout the album, this song was 100% unapologetically shoegaze. I’ve been a longtime fan of 90s Shoegaze artists but never really had a place to produce in that style on my own tracks. This was the perfect place to infuse those vibes across some of the tracks. I approached other songs with more of an Acoustic Guitar backbone and even delved into some Blackgaze ("Last Night on Earth") inspired stuff to bring in the heavier side of things."

Electronic-rock artist/producer Celldweller has released a soul-searching new shoegaze/dreampop single "How Little I Must Know" from the upcoming album "Offworld."

When asked about "How Little I Must Know," Klayton (Celldweller) had this to say: "The first song I wrote for Offworld. Just trying out the newly acquired Quadravox and a song came together very quickly."

For nearly two decades CIRCLE OF DUST has inspired fans and fellow artists of the industrial music scene.  Founded by Klayton - who is most well-known for his project Celldweller and owning the independent record label FiXT - CIRCLE OF DUST began his experimentation with melding sci-fi inspired industrial and electronic-rock, a sound that he has since become known for mastering.  It is with great excitement that CIRCLE OF DUST has teamed up with Loudwire for the exclusive premiere of his new track “Contagion,” the first piece of new music to be released in nearly 20 years.  Listen to “Contagion” HERE.

The debut of “Contagion” comes with the news that CIRCLE OF DUST will be re-releasing remastered versions of all five previously released albums, each featuring bonus material, new tracks, and more.  This sequence of releases will all happen in 2016, capping off with a completely brand new CIRCLE OF DUST album, to be released in December of this year. 

The first re-issue is of the self-titled debut album, ‘Circle Of Dust,’ which will be out on March 4, 2016 via FiXT.  Originally released in 1992, the entire album was created using a Mac Classic with 1mb of system RAM and a 40mb hard drive along with an Ensoniq EPS 16+ mono sampler. The album has been meticulously remastered with modern sonic precision, improving upon the sound of the original tracks.  Additionally, the album features nearly an hour of bonus material including a rare acoustic version of "Onenemy," raw  4-track cassette demos, and a series of unreleased songs, demos and b-sides simply titled - "Dust." Detroit-based electronic rock mastermind Celldweller has released "New Elysium," the first single off of End of an Empire (Chapter 04: Death) via Bloody-Disgusting.

The song features Celldweller at the pinnacle of his career—mixing modular electronics with pounding metal guitar riffs. The song highlights the artist's strength's in both the electronic and metal music world.

Death is the final chapter installment of the four-part End of an Empire series. The full-length LP, which will feature two additional songs yet to be released, is due out later this year. Instead of releasing End of an Empire in a traditional format, Celldweller has released the album in chapters to give fans a better insight to the world he is building with his music.

For Death, Celldweller's collaborated with the finest producers and artists to deliver unique and gripping remixes for the record's tracks. Appearing on the release includes Zardonic, Drumcorps, The Algorithm and Rhys Fulber.

Celldweller joins the dark side today with the release and free download of "The Imperial March," a cover straight from the famed Star Wars film series. Celldweller puts his unique twist on the track through mind-warping instrumentation and aggressive delivery. Amy Ratcliffe at The Nerdist had this to say about the track:

“The Imperial March” has to be near the top of any of Star Wars “best of” list. The powerful theme is ominous, hard-hitting, and delivers all the notes a villain like Darth Vader deserves. But what if the tune was reimagined with an electronic dance vibe? Celldweller has done just that with his cover of “The Imperial March” for May the 4th."

Celldweller had this to say about his out-of-the-galaxy cover: "Star Wars had a huge impact on me as a child. This, as well as science fiction as a whole, has clearly influenced my look and sound — so covering The Imperial March was a natural fit."

A lot of people know about FiXT, Celldweller’s music label, a few remember FiXT Remix – a contest, where young producers showed their skills in remixing music by Celldweller and other artists. This is all part of the past now, but some of these guys are still more than active in the present, working on new material for you to hear in the future – and the future is now.

Al Defender, a young composer, producer and DJ from Astrakhan, Russia. March 24th is the day with bitter sweet taste for him, it's the right time to release his first vocal track ever called “Bittersweet Lie” featuring Ekaterina Fedorova – a young female singer from Voronezh, Russia; and Adam Herdman of Bullet of Reason, from Toronto, CA. The song builds up dramatic tension with epic strings and sharp drum beats, while electronic rock influences underline a melody that won't leave your head for days.

Frenetic multi-genre madman Blue Stahli has released "The Devil: Chapter 01," featuring a duo of tracks from the highly anticipated sophomore album, available now from FiXT.
