Kittie, an act, that will always do what they want, because that's the way and how it is going to be. With that, in 2014 the band had been posting on social media website Facebook, this project that was secretive, in the works. Old photos of past and present members all together in the same room with of all things a camera! This would lead to them launching a crowd funding campaign by the Indie Go Go company, as they would celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band, with a documentary to be foreseen, having those said members of the past and present tell it all in film and book format.

After this was all set up their goal had been reached in 8 hours time, having gotten Rob McCallum to direct the documentary with Mark Eglinton to pen the tell all biography. The campaign closing with a total amount of $40, 525 raised, 203% of the initial goal pretty much. Since 2014 with all this out and about, all was taking place with filming and what not moving forward. Several years later, a reunion of the original lineup for a one night concert would take place in 2017, this being the marking point of the band's anniversary documentary, teaser clips of what was to come from all of this would be posted, having the energy for it be ecstatic. It would be just a short while later before word of a 3-disc set of a DVD, Bluray and CD would be making itself known. The DVD/Bluray being the documentary with the CD portion consisting of audio of live recordings of their catalog of content.

So then, how does the documentary and live album hold up to all of the buzz that it was lead up towards. Well the documentary itself is quite extensive, as it brought it most members in to share their part of the band's journey from past to present, minus two of the band members not participating in it. But far from that minor mishap, the documentary as a whole, was a lot of fun to see and hear about really. Not really realizing how many guitarists and bassists came and went into this band that is Kittie was a lot to take in, from not just being a fan but relating to it somewhat, knowing that a lot of bands face this type or ordeal and it sucks. But Kittie has pulled through to this very day, making it work out, with even newer music in the pipe line as we speak. Seeing what people who are just like you and me, do in their own lives, as musicians, and what they deal with within such an industry and its accompanying scene, was just interesting.

The live album that's included is by far, one of the most intense recording's of a live showcase ever recorded. The angst and energy of the crowd and vibe of the band, is a win/win situation. Everything performed out of their catalog of content, it is as if, the band never really left. While there has been some time of the band's disappearance to take on this documentary and pursue other things, this live release, is just chalk full of what can be expected from a Kittie show. Whether you have heard or ever seen them live beforehand, or even if you have not, this live album does it for you. By hearing it, you get it all in one full sweep of the music, everything is just there and hits you with force you just accept it.

It is just one of those documentaries by a band, who has females in the role, doing what they want to do, make music, but make it their own way. It's a documentary with a live album attached to it, that makes Kittie be themselves, a heavy duty act with no plans on stopping, just taking it with stride, as the music does as well.

When word about a movie based off the fourth generation of the My Little Pony series, "Friendship is Magic", based from the same series that is My Little Pony that debut back in the 80's would be taking place, all of the fans in the fandom galloped with glee and delight! Thus forth, the My Little Pony The Movie would hit theaters in the fall of 2017, particularly on Friday October 6th 2017, but due to a minor setback of a leak breaking online, the box office turn out would be a hit or miss, due to word spreading across the fan base of My Little Pony. Whilst the film was shown in theaters since it's opening in October up until around November to December, it did make its rounds in quite the prancing pace as it were. In which even hitting some local dollar theater markets, until word was released that the film would be coming to digital as well as DVD, Blu-ray in no time at all.

The digital release receiving a December release to be precise, of December 19th 2017, with the DVD, Blu-ray as well as a combo pack and On Demand version coming January 9th 2018. This news of celebration and pony-rific releases would be the word of the ways across the fandom that is My Little Pony. With that said of course, which variations of the film would be coming forth you ask. Well speculation across the fan base had thought that Best Buy and Amazon would play a part in releasing of the film, but as they will just be releasing digital copies and physical copies of the said release only, other versions would be hitting such places as Target and Walmart.

Both Target and Walmart would be having not one but two unique Blu-ray combo packs at the hoofs of many. Walmart's exclusive Blu-ray version including a super cute My Little Pony water bottle, while the Target exclusive Blu-ray version including stickers as well as a fun activity book! But what about the actual content included on the releases, well aside from the box art being different in minor aspects, the content is pretty much the same deal. You get a digital copy in terms of Ultra Violent digital watch it anywhere downloadable, with other features being a deleted scene, a My Little Pony Equestria Girls spin off series to the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic series short, baking with Pinkie Pie segment showing clips of the film, as Pinkie Pie shows you how to bake what else cupcakes! While Making Magic with the Mane 6 and their New Friends piece shows some behind the scenes feature, as well as The Journey Beyond Equestria segment doing the same, detailing more behind the scenes input with the cast and crew. As the "I'm the Friend You Need" music video demonstrates an in-depth look in the recording process with movie clips filtered in, as an added bonus short being of the Hanakui short, an animated series with its episode titled "Full of Treasures", pretty much the same short episode shown prior to the film, when it was in theaters. Again both Target and the Walmart editions containing the same special features.

In terms of quality, the film looks quite impressive when watching it on Blu-ray, while the DVD version looks just as stunning in the ways of glimmer and sparkly goodness of fun! All in all, the film as a whole, is very much like the series it is based off of, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, whether you have been a fan of the series since its current generation, or a fan of even previous generations dating back to the 80's era. The My Little Pony The Movie is one you will enjoy, and is fun for all age ranges, big or small, young or old. Lots of laughs, great animation style, with great acting, and storytelling, bring it all to life, right there on the small screen for all to take in, for now, tomorrow, and many more years to come of course.

Fall Out Boy where to begin, way back in 2003, when releasing their debut album "Take This to Your Grave" this was how discovering them, lead me to becoming a fan. After this release, came the rest such as "From Under the Cork Tree" (2005), "Infinity on High" (2007), and "Folie à Deux" (2008), this album was the end of the line for me. While that album had some decent tracks, it was not like the previous albums, let alone nothing like the debut album from way back then. So after this release, the band would then go on a hiatus, pursuing other projects during this time frame. Would Fall Out Boy come back ever again?

Well like every artist or band that says they will never come back during a hiatus or break up, Fall Out Boy did return, along with some live releases in-between, like "Live In Phoenix" a first for the group, being a combination of a live CD and DVD released in 2008. After that the band would indeed come back sometime later, flash forward just a bit to 2012-2013 time and this is when the band would come back, releasing more material, including two albums "Save Rock and Roll" (2013) and "American Beauty/American Psycho" (2015). All that was fine and good but would another live release see the light of day from the good old boys in Fall Out Boy?

Yes it would, in the form of just a live DVD called "The Boys of Zummer Tour: Live in Chicago". A 17-track setlist consisting of songs from the past and present, including one of the earlier tracks off their debut album, called "Saturday" is always included a classic fan favorite. Aside from that the usual material can be seen and heard upon this DVD release including "Dance Dance", "Sugar, We're Goin Down", "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race", "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs", as well as other newer tracks like "I Don't Care", "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)", "Irresistible", "Uma Thurman", to "The Phoenix", to "Young Volcanoes".

Besides the setlist of course, the stage presents was projection, projection, with more projection, a stair case a little one, was used for the band mates to run and jump upon, while the rest were big screens, showcasing various images, from fire, lights of their initials FOB, to other coloring effects, whatever can be seen, was thrown upon those screens.

As far as the crowd of on lookers, it was a sold out crowd for one thing, every inch of the venue being packed in with people, that everyone there was singing along to the lyrics, of most of the songs played. No mosh pit activity could be seen much really, but maybe just a tiny bit of it. Otherwise everyone witnessing their stage presents, was jumping up and down to waving their arms from side to side, to shouting their hearts out.

Everyone that was present was happy to be there, including the band, them giving off quite a good performance, enjoying themselves, and happy to be back in action, since returning from their hiatus a little while ago. All in all, it was a good concert DVD performance, and one that will live up to the first live CD/DVD combination for sure. Pick up this release if you are an overall fan of the guys that are Fall Out Boy.

When discovering Lalaloopsy had turned itself into its own TV series, with side movies popping up every now and again, this title "Lalaloopsy Festival Of Sugary Sweets" takes your favorite characters on yet a whole new adventure! This time it's just the right time for the Festival of Sugary Sweets, where a sugar shortage has threatened the festival, causing the girls to think up the best way to save the day! Having discovering that by working together as a team, that only something special can occur. Lots of laughs, fun, and various characters come in and out, with a lot of references to previous movie adventures, like Dot's airplane from "The Search for Pillow" and "Wishful Thinking" is used here, whereas Elephant's Birthday is celebrated and is revealed that he is indeed a boy! Other characters like Peppy and Sugar have all new looks with the new minis and Littles debuting as well! Be sure to add this one to your Lalaloopsy collection, because it's sugariness, really bites at your sweet tooth!

Lalaloopsy has buttoned out since its start up in 2010, expanding into various lines with its toy division, having numerous toys of course, and other expansions including a TV show and DVD movies including one that takes the musical approach, as the other releases have done but this one goes for it full force! This is Lalaloopsy Band Together, where all of your favorite Lalaloopsy characters come together, as Jewel Sparkles discovers that Keys Sharps 'N' Flats has the dream of becoming a pop star, she takes matters into her own hands, to have auditions for other people to try out, to see who would fit into a band, this is where two other characters Strings Pick 'N' Strung and Sticks Boom Crash come in, as the new character trio form to create their own garage band known only as The Buttonnettes! The trio begins practicing right away, while Jewel sets off to get the band underway for a touring trek, where the band is set to tour all over Lalaloopsyland, playing their tunes for all to hear.

Other matters come into the mix as Spot Splatter Splash and Dot Starlight have their own adventures with the joys of music, Spot making art pieces that are musical masterpieces while Dot discovers an all new galaxy that takes music outa this world and into outside space! The film is filled with laughs, music of course, including a lot of catchy and upbeat tunes that will have you nodding your head if not humming to the beats. Some of the catchier tunes would have to be "Sparkle And Shine", "On A Roll", and "If You Believed In You", all of these are again catchy, having the music jump out at you, while still staying true to the Lalaloopsy style like in other DVD movie releases. These tune selections are just more rock based with pop elements in-between that keeps the music flowing if you will.

It's a rather enjoyable DVD that will bring smiles from beginning to end. It sure did this during my viewing of it. Not only does this movie have a rocking attitude with catchy upbeat tunes, but some added additions of including the Lalaloopsy Super Silly Party shorts, that takes Jewel Sparkles, Peanut Big Top, Mittens Fluff 'N' Stuff and Crumbs Sugar Cookie to work together to design and release some super silly party dresses that are filled with such giddy funny times, it's easy to fall for all of the fun and entertainment, these shorts embrace, while they may be that just shorts, they are still highly funny and entertaining, catching all of the Lalaloopsy fun!

Lalaloopsy's Band Together release, is fun for all, music fan or not, because it captures the essence of music and how it gets started to where it ends up, showing the formula of what makes music so great!

Japan has come up with a LOT of ideas. In 2007 a new type of artist taking the form as a vocaloid, for those not familiar that is a singing voice synthesizer. This vocaloid was developed and distributed by Cryption Future Media Inc. being said to be the first member in the Character Voice series and seventh Vocaloid overall. As the years pressed onwards, so did this vocaloid in question by the name of Hatsune Miku or sometimes referred to as Miku Hatsune or simply "Miku". She is portrayed as a 16 year old girl with long turquoise pigtails with a retro robotic school girl type of outfit with headphones. Her voice is provided by the Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita. Hatsune Miku has considered the most popular and well known of the vocaloids and was the first to become a pop idol icon.

That said, she has since released countless CDs, DVDs, playing showcases to even touring across the globe. It's gotten so popular that Miku developed her own expo called the Hatsune Miku Expo. A festival where multiple contents from artwork exhibits, merchandise, interactive music activities, to a full concert experience using the cutting edge projection technology with a live band. So yes Hatsune Miku is a projected figure but one that has flare and style with an overwhelming fan base that is always following suit.

The Hatune Miku Expo 2014 edition was held in New York where a DVD of that concert experience was shot and filmed for release. Whereabouts exactly? Well over at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The concert and expo both sold out of course, so it shows her popularity quite well indeed. The concert itself though is something totally different than your average concert from a performer. As said, Hatsune Miku performs via projection with a live band in tow, so projections ranging from images of fireworks, lighting effects, to color changing lights, all cycle in with one another to create a performance for all its performers, yes performers. Hatsune Mike wasn't the only performer for this night's events. Her other friends were there as well to perform, Meiko, Kaito, Luka Megurine, Rin Kagamine, and Len Kagamine. Each of them doing about a few songs during their own performance time slot.

If you're wondering as to what style of music these acts provide it's a combination of sorts;  Pop, rock, dance, house, techno, crossed over into one genre aspect. So you somewhat get an all over experience which ends up being quite catchy and very upbeat. The performance with its fan base in witness was quite interesting to behold, all of the fans in attendance held up light colored glow sticks, twirling them about, to the beats of the songs being performed. There wasn't really any other style of activity like a typical concert with headbanging, mosh pits, crowd surfers, none of that activity was present. This was all movement by the flow of the glow sticks, with the added flare of screams and shouts from the energetic fans of course.

Those fans also sung along to the lyrics along with danced in place to Hatsune Miku's catchy beats of all 27 songs, running over 120 minutes. That's what this concert experience was all about, while it may be time lengthy, it was an interesting experience and thrill of a ride to behold. The DVD of course comes in different variations with content, ranging from the concert piece itself to interviews, documentary, etc. Loads of content that can entertain you to the highest ability available, that will live you wondering just what did you watch, and why are you not finding yourself as a fan of it? That is Hatsune Miku a pop idol vocaloid that has got people everywhere talking!

During the summer of 2004 another band was born, thus the death metal genre had Created To Kill. These guys have gone through a series of changes since their starting but all is well nowadays. So well in fact, it's lead down to this release a DVD calling itself "Worship Or Drive...The Road To Death's Construction". It consists of live performances, of 3 hours of content, ranging from live performances taking place during 2008 through 2013, with the added bonus of their official video for "Object Of Perfect Torture", along with slideshow after slideshow of photographs of them with the fans, performances, band practice, every inch of this band is covered and featured in this DVD.

If you're not familiar with Created To Kill, the band has released two full-length albums "Worship Or Die" (2008) and "Death's Construction" (2013) with new material to likely follow suit. As far as the DVD's contents go, it is filled with live performances from numerous festivals and showcases Monsterfest 2008, Akron Deathfest 2011, Gutfest 2013, and two tours the Worship Or Die Tour 2009 and Killing North America Tour 2013. The footage within these said performances isn't your average concert DVD as far as quality. All of the footage is shot by the looks of it, if not a cell phone camera of some sort, then perhaps a handheld digital camera or perhaps a professional camera. But if you take this and compare it to another concert DVD like Cannibal Corpse's "Live Cannibalism", or Deicide's "Doomsday In L.A. " is nowhere near those quality ranges, as far as professionalism goes.

It isn't a bad thing but the quality footage of each of these showcases could have been done in a more better fashion. The audio on the other hand sounds not as great as it could. In some performances it sounds too loud, while other shots it sounds hardly hearable at all. As far as the look, it is good quality you can see the audience and band playing forth, but some shots the context isn't all that "great" but it's good. The band's performance style itself, is well crafted, and the band keeps up with one another, having well rounded songs, within the death metal genre aspect. The instrumentals are fast, hard hitting material, while the lyrics aren't to the faint of heart, if you're not into gory, killing content, you get the idea.

Overall this DVD by Created To Kill isn't the greatest release but it is good for what it is. It shows a brief history of where the band had begun to where they ended up and plan to head next. Metal fans alike will surely be into this band, whether it'd be through this DVD or an album by them, it's a way to get into yet another band within the music scene.

Black Veil Brides an act that has since their formation a while back, has blown up like never before with four albums, countless performances of tours, shows, and with a DVD release on top of it all, there is no telling as to when these guys will stop.

Furthermore the DVD as mentioned is a live concert experience entitled "Alive and Burning" consisting of 17-songs from their assorted catalog of releases ranging from such tunes as "Fallen Angels", "Knives and Pens", "Perfect Wrapon", "The Legacy", "In The End", along with newer classics like "Heart Of Fire", "Faithless", and "Last Rites". The band went ahead and played these tunes in their hometown of Los Angeles, California at the infamous Los Angeles venue the Wiltern Theater, to a sold out crowd if you couldn't guess.

Black Veil Brides' performance on the other hand is classic, true to their unique style, maintaining a more rock n' roll vibration than their classical heavy metal meets rock n' roll, like they use to do with their Kiss meets Motley Crue era. That time is dead and gone on this tour front, having the members being clean cut with no make-up, war paint, however you want to call it, it no longer exists.
Which is a downside and disappointment to this concert experience, but the band themselves as like just said, is classic but more rock n' roll classic to their unique style. The fans in the crowd sung along to each and every song performed, while interacting with the band members themselves, rising fists, banging heads, everyone was active and well throughout this showcase.

All in all Black Veil Bride's DVD "Alive and Burning" is another concert DVD, that goes into that concert vault of other numerous DVDs , that any other band has put out, showcasing their performance tactics. As an added bonus a feature is included containing footage of the Black Veil Bride's fan base, interacting with their beloved musicians. If you are a fan of metal and rock n' roll then you will surely get into these guys and their new style of performing to an audience. It's energetic, effective, and very much alive and burning brightly.
