Modern progressive metal unit INFECTED RAIN experienced their most successful years yet in 2022 and 2023, and are back to own 2024 with brand new music! Amid their current USA tour with Wednesday 13, the band has announced their multifaceted upcoming sixth album, 'TIME', out February 9, 2024 via Napalm Records.

Following their most successful album to date, 2022's 'Ecdysis' - which garnered prime media acclaim, hundreds of thousands of streams and views, and debuted in the Top 20 on the US Current Hard Music charts - INFECTED RAIN climbs even higher with 'TIME'. Described by the multinational band as “an homage to every fleeting second, every heartbeat, and every breath that has led us to this moment,” 'TIME' was once again produced, mixed and mastered by Valentin Voluta, and combines the deft talents of returning members Vidick (guitars, cover artist), Eugeniu Voluta (drums) and famed frontwoman Lena Scissorhands (vocals), plus introduces new member Alice Lane (bass) to the fold.

The band kicks things off with an eerie, top quality music video for the crushing new single, "NEVER TO RETURN". The track flirts with trip-hop elements and far eastern instrumentation before bludgeoning with aggressive riffs and dynamic vocals!

INFECTED RAIN says about "NEVER TO RETURN":

"'NEVER TO RETURN' is our deep dive into the unstoppable flow of time, reminiscent of the shifting sands in an ancient desert.

"Like smoke that slips through fingers, moments pass us by, leaving behind traces of memories.

"In this song, amidst the backdrop of the vast, timeless desert, we transform into ethereal creatures, exploring the mysteries of time. It's a reflection on life's journey, with all its fleeting moments, and a reminder that every second counts."

"I'm just some chump who likes heavy music. That's all you need to know" is how Crejuvent describes their particular style of music, which as simply heavy music. When listening to the EP "Time", consisting of 5-tracks it is clearly obvious that it is heavy music but more or less falls along the lines of sounding extreme metal meets hardcore mixed with heavy metal. You get your average screaming aspect, with heavy instrumentals, that keeps the music embracive, yet powerful with upbeat tones that keeps it truly fierce.

As far as which tracks to listen in on, "Code Orange", captures the fast pacing energy with screaming vocal chords with some brief clean vocals layered in, making a nice touch appeal. While "Word Vomit", keeps the music in a more screaming pace of beat, the music heavy duty, with lots of flowing melodies and harmonies at bay, that keeps it all bouncy. "Fuck This Shit", is a quick picker upper, that keeps you interesting yet pleased with the results, really showing what to expect from the get go.

All in all really, Crejuvent's "Time" EP is a solid release, with promising things to come from them. If heavy music is not your thing then perhaps passing on this act is for you, otherwise if heavy music is for you, then by all means jump on these guys for sure.

Whilst work is firmly underway for a new EP release later in 2017, the Wigan (UK) based alchemists of psych-edged alternative rock are offering a limited time free download of their previous single 'Time'.

Lifted from their acclaimed debut album Everything Popular Is Wrong, 'Time' charges along with their raw post-grunge energy and melodicism -  a musical formula that has created their upward trajectory since being unleashed upon the alternative music scene back in 2015.

Taking time out from their writing and recording schedule, the trio shall be appearing at UK's Sonic Rock Solstice Festival (8th and 9th Sept 2017) in Worcester. www.sonicrocksolstice.com
