"This song is for my little brother Alexander. Born on March 21, 2005, several weeks premature, he passed away shortly after on April 30, 2005 due to a congenital heart disease called hypoplastic right heart syndrome. I wrote this song as an open letter to my brother about what dealing with his death was like for me. Alexander is my motivation and I try to live my best life for the two of us but this song isn’t just for us. This song is for anyone that has lost a loved one too early.
