Our Time Is Now says They Want YOU to Listen More

Pop punk hardcore act Our Time Is Now, have released an album "Freak", with other material released here and there in the form of singles. As of right now, it is being spent working on new music and wanting to go out and play more shows, taking in that atmosphere. The band goes into discussion about everything from music, the name, to their influences and what they have planned.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Stuart and Ryan both went to school together and have known each other going way back, Sam and Nick joined us when our last bassist joined another band, so Ryan moved to guitar and we got a new bassist and drummer instead. The chemistry is better than ever and we are all having a great time playing together and coming up with fresh ideas.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The name came through playing together in different bands over the years before OTIN was formed and then taking everything we had learned to make this new band work.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based near Norwich in the east of England. The music scene is a mixed bag around here, there is a few decent venues in the area but they are mainly for international touring bands who roll through. If you are a smaller band it can be difficult to play many shows as options can be limited. All things considered there have been a few decent bands breaking through, "Lightscape" and "Burn the Headlines" are two that people should keep an eye on! They have helped us out and we have shared the stage a few times, we are playing with Lightscape on April 6th, 2018.

4. How would you describe your style?

We definitely have a pop-punk vibe but at the same time our sound can be more technical as our varied influences tend to work there way in and we like the think it keeps thing interesting.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released a full length album a couple of years ago titled "Freakshow" and more recently we are releasing songs on a single by single basis.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We always have ideas batting around and tend to work on things when we get down time but when we have shows coming up we usually work on making the live show as tight and impressive as possible, regardless I am sure there will be new music recorded and released before long.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

For 2018 we are hoping to play a few more festivals as the atmosphere is something we love, plus we find it is a great way to reach a bunch of new fans in one hit.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

I think our grand plan is just to make more memories together, wether that is playing bigger shows, touring or putting out new music. We are just here to have fun and hope people like our music!

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

All of our music is available on streaming platforms (Spotify, amazon, etc..) and our music is also available to buy on iTunes.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We would like to be remembered for putting a twist on a sound that a lot of people love and it would make you want to carry on listening more.
