September 2022

Up and comer LIL X DREAMER has been actively creating music since he was a kid. But over time, he has grown up and gone on to release a few single's, with new music in the works right now! No shows or touring just yet but it is in the pipeline for now and will happen someday. But now Lil X Dreamer himself discusses his time creating music and where it plans to go from here on out.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Well I've always been making music ever since I was a kid, but it was never really serious. There was one night I just felt in the mood to write music so I wrote my song titled "Alone". I literally recorded it that night and just had to sitting on my phone for like 6 months, and never really showed anybody. Well one day I ended up showing it to this girl I was talking to at the time. She told me that she loved it and that it was a shame that I hadn't produced it and that the world couldn't hear it, told me I should get serious about my music, so that's what I did. I think I ended up recording it with a professional mic and releasing it on soundcloud within like 3 days, and now it's streaming on all major platforms! Eventually I ended up writing more music, and more recently described to start taking it seriously haha. In the end I've always loved music and it's always been a passion of mine.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The name "lil X Dreamer" is actually a reference to my state of mind. There's a little bit of a story behind it. I used to run my own blog/music promotion service and the first band I ever interviewed was a group called "Attention Anyone" who I'm still friends with to this day. I actually got one of their lyrics tattooed on my arm, and it goes "we've all got dreams but I'm a dreamer". The quote always hit hard with me. I got the tattoo not only to remind me of my past accomplishments, but also to remind myself that I'm not someone who just has fantasies and forgets about them. I'm driven to chasing my dreams and making them happen.

To me being a dreamer not only means having dreams, but being driven and chasing your dreams, not losing hope in the things you believe in, no matter how dark things get. Staying strong and pushing forward until you watch your dreams become reality.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Actually from Putnam county Florida, and sadly there's not much of a music scene out here. I've built a little bit of a scene within my friends group, it actually I'm planning to do a few projects with my best friend, Chris!

Unfortunately none of the artists I know locally have anything released yet, but I'll keep you updated!

4. How would you describe your style?

Now that's an interesting question! I honestly have no idea haha!

I was inspired by a lot of rock bands like Linkin Park, 3 Days Grace, Bring Me The Horizon, Asking Alexandria, and a bunch of other bands like that.

But I've also got a lot of inspiration from artists like Machine Gun Kelly, or Lil Peep, Juice Wrld and XXXTENTACION.

My style kind of blends the two worlds, there's rapping there's screaming there's singing, but no matter what style I use it always captures the same emotion. The biggest review I've heard from my music about it flatters me is that people listen to it and they feel something. Which as an artist is the best thing I can really ask for. I guess that's honestly the goal of my music, is to capture my emotions with sound, and to give other people a glimpse into my world.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

I've got three singles out right now, 'Alone', 'Send Help',  and 'Dreamer Lost'. As to what you can expect, every song I've done has been a different style, I might scream, I might rap, I might even sing. The only thing you can really expect is that whatever I do, it's gonna come from the heart.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Actually I do I have about six songs in the works right now! I'm planning on releasing three of them later this month, so definitely keep your ear out for new music, and follow me on Facebook or subscribe to my channels if you want to get updated on new releases!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

It's a dream of mine, and like I said earlier and then a few I always chase my dreams so it'll happen eventually. As for dates and everything I don't really have anything set up right now. But don't worry we'll get there!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Honestly, just keep chasing my dreams, following what I believe and pushing myself further every step of the way.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

I've got all my links on linktree! https://linktr.ee/Lil_X_Dreamer.

My music is currently available for purchase on Bandcamp and you can listen to it on all major platforms!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That their not alone!

Different influences brought upon such band members has created a styling to LE IENE's liking. Some would say it as ska-punk while others say is a mix of this and that. With that said, an EP and album was released with a follow-up piece of a single track out this past summer time. The band talks of this content and much else below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Le IENE was born in 2015 amidst the meanders of Ferrara's fog, from the meeting of four bold young men, each with their own musical experiences and projects behind them: Mastro on guitar, Eugi on bass, Giù on sax and Med on drums. The decision to compose all together in the living room allows the band to develop its own sound, the result of different musical influences, ranging from Punk to Metal, from Funk to Ska, up to Reggae and sounds typical of the Latin American and Balkan musical tradition. In 2017 the first EP "Fai la tua mossa" was produced, allowing IENE to broaden their horizons towards a European dimension, with the first concerts outside the Italian borders. In 2019, the pack expands with the entry of Vare on trumpet and together with Giù goes to make up the band's wind section. The album 'Immaginazione' is released, where the songs maintain the influences and sounds developed in the first EP, but moving towards a decidedly more aggressive style. The Immaginazione tour sees Le IENE play in Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, passing through cities such as Milan, Munich and Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne. The damned COVID-19 determines a setback in the path taken up to that point by the five beasts, without however preventing them from continuing to play and work on the composition of their next songs, anticipated by the release of the track 'Dolce Libertà' in August 2022.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

With the choice of the name 'Le IENE' (Italian for 'The Hyenas') we wanted to accentuate the meaning related to the concept of 'herd', a dimension where each component is an integral part, where the whole is never the simple sum of the parts, but at the same time each part is essential for the composition of the whole. As components, in fact, we consider ourselves to be five people who are characteristically very different from each other: getting along is often not easy, but everyone can always count on the certainty of not being excluded or left alone, precisely because the herd will always be there, even during the ups and downs of each one. The choice of the animal, the hyena, is due to its goliardic aspect connected to the famous laugh: essentially because we are nothing but five assholes. Moreover, the herds of this animal, which are generally numerous, remind us of all the loved ones we have met along the roads we have travelled in the van, people who are far away but whose affection we retain and who have become part of our great loving asshole herd.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

The headquarters of the band, or as we prefer to call our Tortuga, is located in Ferrara, a foggy city in the north-east of Italy. The city boasts a discrete underground music scene, relating to various musical genres: historical groups such as 'Strike' as regards Ska, or 'Game Over' as regards Heavy Metal, have achieved excellent results and goals throughout their history, playing in Italy and abroad on decidedly enviable stages. In addition to this, there is also a considerable buzz from the young and very young, with an appreciable number of solo artists and bands always willing to bring music and light-heartedness to the city, providing magnificent evenings. While we regret past years when the opportunities to experience live music were far greater, we still cannot complain.

4. How would you describe your style?

Certainly, if we were to label ourselves, our style would still remain in the Ska-Punk vein, but in the composition of our pieces we always feel that we must bring together the different influences and personal tastes of which each member is the bearer, in the light of their different personal histories and previous experiences: from those who have played in heavy metal bands, to others who have had direct contact with musical traditions outside the continent, to those who have had no direct musical experience but have had their musical influences through dancing and performing; everyone tries to bring their own contribution to the creation of a Ska-Punk style that is however original and bears the "IENE" signature.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

In 2017, the original four-member line-up gave birth to the first EP 'Fai la tua mossa', which allowed IENE to broaden their horizons towards a European dimension, with their first concerts outside the Italian borders. In 2019, the album 'Immaginazione' is released, where the tracks maintain the influences and sounds developed in the first EP, but moving towards a decidedly more aggressive style. The damned COVID-19 determines a setback in the path taken up to then by the five beasts, without however preventing them from continuing to play and work on the composition of the next tracks, anticipated by the release of the track "Dolce Libertà" in August 2022; from the works in the pipeline that are being released, one can see the band's desire to further develop the sounds modelled to date, with tracks that are markedly heterogeneous from one another.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We are working on a second single that we would like to release with the new year, followed by an ep/album for spring 2023 to be promoted during next year's summer festivals.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We've been working since 2018 with Elisa from Kob Records for the concerts issue both in Italy and abroad (Germany, Switzerland, Austria etc.) and for now we have a few concerts until the end of the year and we're already getting ready for spring and summer 2023. For possible booking: kobrecords@yahoo.it.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

As we have repeated in other replies, the COVID-19 setback was a resounding slap in the face for everyone, which also forced everyone to reschedule individual commitments and life plans. The uncertainty that has characterized the world of music for the past two years has forced each of us to be unable to afford to continue on the highly structured path that we had set ourselves as a band. We are therefore going back to playing because we can't be without it, but as of today we do so without pretense: we simply aim to live each stage giving our all and hoping to be appreciated by as many people as possible who have the chance and desire to see and hear us.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

All our tracks are available on Spotify and YouTube (on the latter you can also see our official videos of the singles we have released over the years), we also have Facebook and Instagram pages to get to know us better as a band and follow our adventures. Also via Facebook and Instagram, where you will find a shop section where we present the merchandise available, you will be able to contact us and we will reply directly to you if you are interested in the material (albums, EPs, vinyls, t-shirts, various merchandise...), with the possibility of having it sent directly to your home. For any curiosity about the band we invite you to consult this link https://linktr.ee/LE_IENE.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We would like you to feel involved and represented in some way, partly by the words of the lyrics (which is not always possible as we sing in Italian and play a lot abroad) and partly by the sounds of the riffs and songs. We would also like a listener to remember how cool the trumpet player is.

Crafty musicians known only as LEAF have a couple of EP's and hope to play not just local shows but bigger shows if not touring is in mind, with wanting everyone to hear what and how good these guys sound really. The band talks of all of this plus much else below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Wow, the band's initial incarnation was in 1992. God, we were beautiful, but flawed like any bunch of talented but lunatic teenagers. We had talent scouts wanting us to be the ‘new Pearl Jam’, we had the grotty, scuz of the grunge era married to the tunes that would take us further. However, the usual lures caused internal friction, Colin went and tried out for the Wildhearts and that was the final straw. Roll on nearly 30 years after all of us having experiences both professional and not so, in the music biz (BBC Dick and Dom, Goya and Electus). Dan joined and gave a solid foundation and Mark rejoined after the original drummer couldn’t commit and magic started to happen again.  We are mature now, all the rubbish is behind us in the past and the songs are raw, real and mean something - we have an awful lot of life between us and we are going to tell you all about it!

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Really? It is somewhat embarrassing; the almighty bastions of British metal, Sabbath and a crap, teenage imagination. We used to play Sweet Leaf as an encore. We have moved on, but with a nod to the past we have kept the name, even though only a  handful of tunes have survived the brutal writing and culling process. With a nod to the pretenders to the name we have added UK to the end to avoid any shenanigans, even though we were there first.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We hail from Stoke-on-Trent, although Dan travels from Norfolk which absolutely shows his utter commitment. The scene is actually quite buoyant after the crappy covid years. We have young upstarts like Bathtub and Loose Ends (Jonny Price’s band), more established bands like Claylake and Psyence and mature rockers like Silverchild and Wolves in Alcatraz. You can go out every weekend and see a great line up, which is great in a city that has few opportunities and a low average salary - a big shout out to all those supporting the Stoke music scene.

4. How would you describe your style?

We are a melting pot. We are not a copy band and have so many influences that a simple description would not do us justice. We have melody, crushing riffs, hooks, anger, passion and a touch of humour - we are not afraid to take the piss out of ourselves, we are too gnarly and weather-beaten to have worry over ‘street cred’. We take from the nineties, the noughties and current music to make music that is punky, rocky and catchy.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We released a live demo after 3 months of getting back together and that gained us some interest and a few gigs. My, how we have moved on from that. We switched studios (to Lower Lane in Stoke  -check out their amazing work) and teamed up with a young producer, Jonny Price, who just gets us. We did an EP Black and White with him that has had tracks played all over the place, and we are about to release a few new tunes and ultimately an EP that we have once again recorded with Jonny. The songs and production are ‘sick’ in the great Jonny’s words

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

As mentioned before the latest tracks will be out in October, but we have another studio date booked in December for another few recordings. You may be asking, ‘why the rush?’. The answer is because we are old and likely to die before we have got all of these tunes out of our system. Honestly, we write constantly and Colin has been writing and sequestering away more great tunes than most bands produce in a lifetime. We will lift bits, rework and rewrite stuff alongside all of the  new stuff that we start off with jams in our disgustingly filthy rehearsal room. We are never satisfied, and Jonny has encouraged us to pull apart and dig deeper to concentrate on the song.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Plans are to move beyond the narrow confines of the local cities and start picking up slots with established acts around the UK. We will see how this year goes, but the plan is for a series of dates culminating in some of the smaller festivals next summer

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We want people to hear how good we are.  We are not after massive fame and fortune (but it would be nice), which is not realistic for most bands today thanks to streaming services etc. But to be able to play our music and get people to hear it is our short term goal. If you want to offer me six figures to sign to your label, then we will consider it, of course.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We are on all major streaming platforms (ahem!) including Spotify, iTunes and Amazon. Bandcamp is a nice one too, as we get more pennies per track and if you are lucky enough to see us, Dan always has a box of merch with some exclusive extras!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

What we would like is for them to say , jeez where have these guys been for the last 30 years? They won’t forget the songs, the hooks and riffs are too darn catchy, the Leaf earworm is going to get you one way or another!

Modernized rockers HOUSE OF NOW has three album's under their belts, with their most recent just coming out titled "Monodrone". A tour is also in the works! The band chats of their music, tour, and other plans ahead.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

House of now began around 2014 when Brendan (Guitar) and R.J. (Bass)began writing music. From the ashes of multiple different bands came the early stages of House of Now. After a series of member changes the band settled on drummer Nathan Warren. Most recently House of Now has added John Rucks on Rhythm guitar.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The name “House of Now” comes from a personal need to make our home in the moment, to take things in and not take anything for granted.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We’re based out of Atlanta, GA, US. The scene has been a little rough since the pandemic but we would definitely love to give a shout out the the bands O’Brother, Big Jesus and Whores.

4. How would you describe your style?

I would say our style is very influenced by 90s and early 2000s rock with a modern twist.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

House of Now has released 3 studio albums including Interloper, Light the Second Sun, and Monodrone. Currently we are making plans to promote our current release from 9/16 and are working on putting together a tour as well as some live sessions.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Monodrone was just released and we plan to tour and promote that record for a while before starting work on a fourth studio album.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Working on putting together a tour but no solid dates yet.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We really love what we do and have a great friendship as a band, we’re not 100% sure what the future holds but we know we will keep doing this with each other indefinitely.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to/buy our music on apple music, Spotify, YouTube and bandcamp.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

All that we can hope people will take away from our music is being able to relate to the lyrics in their own way. This band has always been like a form of therapy for us and I’d hope we can provide that to listeners as well.

Mixer-uppers CKRAFT have a unique approach to the music they make, combining different elements and what not. Going on to release their debut album, with new music already in the works, whilst on the road during their current touring cycle. The band discusses all of this below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Charles (the bandleader): I grew up listening to metal, it was the only music that would really make sense to me as a teenager. I'd spend hours listening to KoRn, Slipknot, and especially Gojira. Their album "The Link" really changed my perception of music and I still listen to it as an adult with the same passion and awe. Later in my formative years, I saw a jazz big band play live and I was blown away by the exuberant freedom that this music was projecting from the stage. Sooner or later I had to blend these genres!

CKRAFT was born when I discovered the melodies from Middle Ages, especially Gregorian chants. These melodies were the last element I needed in order to write compositions with a strong direction.

I met the other members during my formative years and we're all a bunch of friends as well!

There's Théo Nguyen Duc Long on tenor saxophone, Antoine Morisot on guitar, Marc Karapetian on bass and William but on drums. I play augmented accordion, which is an accordion with electronic sensors, allowing me to play synths directly on the accordion!

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

I think musicians and composers are very similar with craftsmen, in the sense that we all use noble material -for us, middle-ages melodies, the culture of jazz and that of metal- just like craftsmen would use different varieties of wood, minerals, etc. and create something unprecedented directly from these materials, combined with their art, their expertise and experience. That's why I named this band CKRAFT, along with the fact that "Kraft" in German, means strength/energy/force! And there you have it, CKRAFT, a mixture of "craft" and "Kraft"!

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

The band started in Metz (eastern France) and is now based in Paris (France), where the experimental music scene is just crazy!

On the same register as us (Jazz-Metal) I'd suggest checking out French musician Laurent David's trio "Kilter" with Laurent David on electric bass, Ed Rosenberg (from Jerseyband) on bass sax and Kenny Grohowski (from Imperial Triumphant) on drums. We hope to play during the same events in the future!

4. How would you describe your style?

It's a mixture of Jazz, Metal and melodic elements from the Middle Ages, especially from Gregorian Chants.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We released our first album "Epic Discordant Vision" in June 2022 and are starting a tour as we speak, in Germany and France.

The best way for fans to stay updated would be to follow us on our socials (all the links are here: linktr.ee/ckraft. music), if we play in your town, the info will be in there!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We have new music indeed! We're taking advantage of being on tour together these next few weeks to rehearse as often as possible!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Oops I might have already answered this question previously! The dates are on our socials ;) linktr.ee/ckraft. music.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

My goal is to keep this band together as long as possible. If it can be a forever thing, I'll be more than happy! The idea is to develop our Jazz-Metal vocabulary together during the years and grow old and experienced together, just like the bands we admire, Gojira and Meshuggah for example, that both have more than 20 to 30 years of career together with the same lineup.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Our music is available in CD and digital form on all platforms, and our merch will soon be accessible on Shopify! In any case, we'll always keep this link updated with everything: linktr.ee/ckraft.music.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We want the listener to feel the air thickens around him when he discovers our music. That's how proper Metal feels like, in my humble opinion! That, and the epic melodies and solos. Thanks a lot for having us today!

Modernized deathcore band AS PARADISE FALLS has been around for some time, having some music readily available with them always creating newer content to behold. They just want to continue and evolve and grow as they always have done with much else in-store too.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

The history of As Paradise Falls go back a little bit and its a long story with lots of crazy scenarios. Definitely check out our bio if you’re interested in an in depth view but right now the band is Me (Danny, Guitarist) & Ravi (vocals) and its never been this experimental and adventurous with our goals. Keep up to date with us, you’re in for a wild ride. We are on a journey to re-define modern Deathcore.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

I was playing a lot of Fallout 3, years ago and while I was playing it I had heard about this one part of the map that wasn’t a complete ruin. I thought that would be cool to find and saw an area called ‘Paradise Falls’ and assumed that was going to be it. Long story short, it wasn’t and it was just as awful as the rest of the areas. That sinking, let down feeling was really cool because it actually drew me further into the game.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Originally I'm from England and moved over to Brisbane Australia in 2009 and we’ve been based here ever since.

There’s some dope bands around Australia for sure; Ocean Shores (BNE), Conform (Perth I believe), Harroway (Sydney) just to name a few.

4. How would you describe your style?

We are modern Deathcore with an affinity for Eminem… Take from that what you will…

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released Deathcore in the past but our upcoming release Madness/Medicine which is out now is by far the most out there and intense music we’ve released. Its bringing back the aggression I feel a lot of modern Deathcore has lost.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We are always creating new music, always pushing boundaries with our ideas. You’ll see.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We are looking at some Australian shows towards the end of this year… Maybe, unless we decided to go straight into the studio again…

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We will continue to evolve and grow like we always do. We will be weirder and wilder than people would actually expect from us… We don’t think you’re ready for that to be fair…

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can find us anywhere on your favorite streaming services. We sell merchandise via our online store www.asparadisefalls.net.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Listen carefully because it will change you.

American Melodic Death Metal band Theosis released their new single album "Deadlights" taken from the band's new album "Overture of the Damned". The single was recorded, mixed and mastered by Sean Tolley at "Clarity Recordings" in San Diego, CA. The lyrics video was made by Irvan Dionisi.

Check out the video linked below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kyzgbmz3TG0

Theosis was formed in 2012 at San Diego, California by guitarist Dana Roselli. The current line up consists of John Haskin (Vocals), Dana Roselli (Guitar), Lee Burgos (Guitar), Zac Herriot (Bass/Vocals) and Nick Mafi (Drums). The band brings a unique sound to the melodic death metal genre, with influences such as Black Dahlia Murder, Children of Bodom, and Darkest Hour.

Emo post-hardcore band THE EDGE OF REASON has been around for a while, releasing content on and off, including an all new release out real soon! The band got together to discuss said release, music creativity, and much more all below.

1. Can you give us a brief summary as to how the band got together?

Long story short: Originally founded back in 2012 as a hobby band made up of four friends, we broke up at the end of 2013 because of musical differences and different opinions on how to move forward with the band. Only our bass player Dani stayed with me. Anyway I released a song (Prison Of Terror) that year under the name of TEOR. By the end of 2016 I luckily met our guitarist Billy at a show with his former band. We got along well both musically and personally and he joined TEOR very soon. After a while we found our new drummer Niko and second guitar player Alex, who became good friends and we started from scratch with TEOR. In 2017 we released our first album "Broken But Not Torn".

2. What about the band's namesake, what does it mean and how did it come into the picture?

"The Edge Of Reason" is a good expression for the mental health issues we care a lot about and a more emotional view to the world. For us it means to be almost at the point where rationality is lost. And that's how we often feel.

3. What has influenced your sound and style?

We are a five piece band. So there are several different music tastes in the band. I grew up with more of the big heavy metal bands like Metallica, but also Led Zeppelin. My personal influences are mostly bands like Bring Me The Horizon, Falling in Reverse, but also  Twenty One Pilots and even Synthwave stuff. Billy is also into bands like Mötley Crew and Bon Jovi.

4. You have not one but two single's currently "Foolish Heart" and "One Way Ticket", tell me about these?

"One Way Ticket" is based on my anxieties. The feeling that life is rushing past you and there is no turning back. The uncertain and oppressive feeling of dying someday with the same conflicts I had from the beginning. The fear of being "incurable" and all hopes and dreams are unattainable or already behind you.

"Foolish heart"

Ever felt like you‘re losing the game against your demons?

Foolish heart is about the losing game of running from your demons. Trying not to look back and escape from the past, but ending up doing the same mistakes again and again. Alcohol and drugs serve to temporarily numb the pain while the real issues stay untouched. It’s about the great delusion of repression, to think the monster can’t hurt you if you don’t see it anymore.

5. Will these lead to an EP or album release in the future?

It wasn't originally planned, but we recently started thinking seriously about releasing an EP physically, because fans ask for it. There will be an exclusive track on it that will not be released digitally.

6. How would you say you differ from other bands and artists on the scene?

That should be answered by our fans, but they often say that they have never found a band that communicates so closely and openly with their fans. Musically we express ourselves like we feel and do not care about the genre defaults at all.

7. What do you want to achieve as a band?

It's especially important to us to reach out to those who are struggling. We love to spread our message and music to distract people from everyday life at least for a moment.

8. What does next year hold for The Edge Of Reason?

After releasing new songs only digitally in 2022 we will release a phsical EP in 2023 like I said before. We also work on getting back on the stage again and also grow our audience online.

9. Where can people find out more about you?

All our social media and stream links are listet here: https://teor.de/stream/

10. Can you describe The Edge Of Reason in three words?

Energetic, emotional, approachable.

Electronic hybrid band BODYDICERS has come together to create music that they want to share with the world. Speaking of which they have an EP out with newer music also in the works too! The band talks of their music and more all below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Bodydicers are a new collective of artists and musicians working together in a collaborative environment to create fresh original music to share with the world.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Bodydicers means breaking down a composition and re-creating it into something different. The term beatslicing is of a similar nature though body in bodydicers stands for song structure.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Bodydicers were based in York. However the production team leader has moved to Nottingham recently  and set up our headquarters there. Nottingham has an amazing post genre music scene. It is a very creative city.

4. How would you describe your style?

We would describe our style as electronic hybrid or a multi genre collective.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released plenty of material on our social media. We also have just released our EP "BOSS-BATTLES" featuring Toby chaos and bosh Jarber. With us you can always expect something new and a little different. We like to keep things exciting!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Always! We can't say too much at present but expect some big things.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We are still in studio and will be for the foreseeable future. Gigs are touring for this collective will take a lot of planning as we are all based in different areas of the world.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

All of the above and more! You will see a lot more of us as time moves forward.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

All material can be found on our social media and all major streaming platforms worldwide. Search bodydicers and give us a listen!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We would like our listeners to keep an open mind. follow the beat and create a picture from their own imagination. Please send us a message through social media if you would like to share your interpretations!

Modernized metal emo band WHITE HARBOR have got a lot of songs to cone, including a debut EP out by the end of this year, with a lot more music in the works for sure! The band has plans to do some shows as well as just releasing a lot more music of course. Band members guitarist/song writer Nate and vocalist/song writer Chris do the talking with this chat below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

It began as a passion project after a long hiatus from writing; after I stopped being an active member of Lion I Am. I was talking to Tyler (my old friend and band mate/owner of Black Gate Records) about how much I was enjoying writing again and, how it would be nice to have a vocalist to work with. Tyler posted on a forum looking for try outs and, that’s how Chris found me. The funny thing is, Tyler and I almost forgot about Chris and, didn’t see the email for almost two weeks. I’ll tell you what, I’m so glad we didn’t forget though because Chris’s try out (which was an entirely completed Die Alone) blew me away. It was exactly what I was looking for and the rest is history.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

I did not have a definitive group yet and, at the time, I was super into Game of Thrones so I used themed code names for the songs (e.g. The North Remembers was the OG name for Ruiner). Once Chris and I got together and we began brain storming ideas for a name, White Harbor stuck with us. The fact that it wasn’t taken by another artist in this currently oversaturated market was a huge plus for us and, it has a cool origin oof fandom. It’s funny Nate’s demo titles were all these familiar names that I didn’t realize all his demo song names were Game of Thrones references. We figured instead of naming all our songs we’d just stick with a band name like White Harbor in reference to the location in the hit series. Also Sorry for all those hoping for a Game of Thrones influenced band haha

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Elliot and I live out in the San Diego area and our guitar player Nate who writes for us lives in Nebraska. I personally love the San Diego scene I try to go to as many shows in the area I’m in. A few I’ve seen at some the venues are Resider, Fermentor, Parasitic Existence and Dream Burglar, those guys are killing it right now.

 4. How would you describe your style?

We’re a little on the heavy side but we definitely shine on our catchy hooks. I would describe it as Modern Metalcore or Heavier Emo for those that want something more metal influenced than most emo type bands. I think Chris is spot on. It’s funny because I honestly do not listen to heavy music as much as I used to but, there’s something uniquely special about the power behind it. With White Harbor there really is no limits on what we do. The EP will actually feature a re-imagined Forever which is essentially a Dark Wave song. The future will certainly carry a lot of surprises and treasures for those who love the signature sound as well.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

I can tell you to expect a lot more music! We’ve got a lot of songs coming soon but, so far we’re wrapping up our first EP “Forever” which should be completely out by the end of this year. For now you can enjoy our latest single “Where I’ll Be” which is on all major streaming platforms.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Our newest single that we haven’t released is coming out September 30th. The song is going to have a little of everything and is really close to home for me lyrically. You’ll have to wait and hear once it comes out though!

Nate - We have so many songs to be honest. Right now we’re releasing essentially the first ones we wrote together. It’s a really cool thing to see because it’s almost a story about me and Chris learning how to write together. I’m excited to drop our Forever EP this year but, I can’t lie about being overly excited about everything we have in store for you afterwards.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Not yet, as I said before we’re stretched out from California to Nebraska so we’re very limited in that department. But, we are not opposed to doing any local festivals or big shows once there’s demand for it!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Lots and lots of music. White Harbor is, at it’s core, about the music we create. Over time, we are also excited about the potential for shows, small tours, and merchandise for those who want them. Since we are so new, we haven’t pushed any physical releases yet but it’s absolutely something we are excited about doing once there’s some demand.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Right now our music is all on Spotify, Apple Music and we also post on Blackgate Records YouTube Channel for our music videos. You can sign up for our mailing list on our website www.whiteharbormusic.com where we will have more updates coming soon!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

My hope is a listener interprets something meaningful from it; whether it’s what the lyrics might mean to them or how the melodies might impact them.

Pop rock artist CODY JAMES has had some releases out and about, with newer music in the works already. He is even currently out on the road touring around with a lot else in-store too. Find out what else is discussed from the man himself below.

1. Please tell us about the history of you and your music.

First off, thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me! This opportunity means a lot to me. I showed an interest in music at a very young age. My family has stories of me standing in front of the speakers in my childhood home and head-banging to anything that came out. This is before my memory really started forming. When I was 5 or 6 I discovered my first musical loves, The Doors, Nirvana, and Kiss. From those moments, I knew I wanted to be a 'rock star'. Fast forward to Christmas Day 1996. I was 7 years old. I opened the next gift from my father, what could it be? It was a guitar. I couldn't believe it. I had never seen one in real life before.

From 7-9 I was completely self taught. I learned how to play by reading books and practicing until my fingers were raw. I took lessons for a brief time before I started writing my own songs. By freshmen year of high school I was in my first band. I played bass and sang lead vocal. We were a loud punk band an we just wanted to have fun. I remember being so nervous at our first show, when I was 14. I was going to be singing in front of people and more importantly, swearing in front of my parents for the first time, haha! After that it was over. It was music all the way. Throughout high school I was constantly writing songs, practicing, and collaborating. In and out of many different bands. After high school I moved away from home for school. I continued to play and write. It was always my main focus. I dropped out of college and began to tour.

By my early to mid 20's, I had joined a serious band. We were really going to give it everything we had. We would practice as a band 2-3 nights a week, constantly writing, refining, and holding our sound. We ended up going on 5 US tours and released two full length records completely independently over the course of 7 years (https://spoti.fi/3x8fAju). In the fall of 2018 I ventured on my own and went solo for the very first time. I had written material that wasn't appropriate for the band and wanted to see how the songs did on my own. I hit the ground running and began playing as much as I possibly could all on my own (https://bit.ly/3xbcxH8).

In the spring of 2019, the band went on what would be our final tour. In the middle of tour, we got an offer to work with a booking agent (I had been booking all of our tours myself). The guys didn't want to go for it. That was my last straw, and I quit. I was now a solo artist. 2019 was a big year for me. I played over 100 shows, recorded a few singles, and established a name for myself. 2020 was all about recording, and I was able to fully record an album's worth of material, playing every instrument. 2021 I was back on the live scene, playing over 60 shows from June-December.

2. Where are you based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands/artists you could recommend?

I'm from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It's part of a larger area called the Fox Valley, which consists of neighboring cities Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, and Fon du Lac. Green Bay, WI is 45 minutes north and Milwaukee, WI is 1.5 hours south. Oshkosh itself has a population of only about 70,000. Being a college town, it's a nice-sized area that's still small enough to escape the hustle and bustle of big city life. We have an extremely fertile music scene, with a plethora of talent. Some of my favorite artists include the now-defunct The Traveling Suitcase (https://bit.ly/3QysiPx), Horace Green (who I've filled in on drums for multiple times - https://spoti.fi/3Rt96DY), David Paul Martin (https://spoti.fi/3eDGQA6) Auralai (https://spoti.fi/3d8jphL).

3. How would you describe your style?

The most simple description is pop/rock. But of course that's way too general. I really like jazz textures construed with a pop mentality. Digestible and relatable, but innovative and new. I'm always finding ways to take complex chords and melodies and recreate them in a way that pleases both the casual listener and the musical aficionado. Early John Mayer is likely the closest comparison (https://spoti.fi/3RCV8zt). Pop/Rock covers the bases here, but it leaves a lot out of the picture. If I could, I'd say something more like jazzy-poppy-bluesy rock with emotional sensibility. But no one wants to hear all of that, haha!

4. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

I currently have a bit of an amalgamation of releases. I have three singles, "Living on the Breeze" (https://spoti.fi/3DcSoV7) "Walls" (https://spoti.fi/3Dd2ANi) a cover of the classic song "For What It's Worth" (which appeared on the "Parallel Universe" compilation album (https://bit.ly/3qtNOKK), and an acoustic EP, "Acoustic" (https://bit.ly/3Qv4JqH). These songs serve as framework for what's to come. These recordings are kind of the exoskeleton for the songs. A pre-cursor, if you will. I wanted to release some material while simultaneously really taking the time to make full-band versions of these songs great.

5. Do you have any new music in the works?

I have lots of music in the works! At the end of the month I'm releasing a new single with The Animal Farm called "Everything in Me" which features a full-band arrangement. It's a great bluesy feeling pop/rock track which is all about finding out who I am. That's the first of four singles we will be releasing. I'm lucky enough to have a studio right at home so I'm always writing and recording. It's really cool to have outlets like you to share my new music with !

6. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Currently writing this while I'm in a hotel room on tour haha! I just got back from an 11 day tour to the east coast and the mid-south. I usually play 2-3 times/week, often times I'm driving hours around the Midwest. At the end of the month I have a short run with a good friend of mine around Illinois and Iowa. November I'll be back down in Nashville and before the year is up I'll hit Chicago, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Green Bay, and lots of places in between.

7. What plans do you have for the future as an artist?

My main focus is and has always been to get better as a writer. It's a challenge to express yourself in the truest way while expanding and growing at the same time. I also aim to tour more, and I think that improving my writing will naturally take me there. Writing, recording, and touring are the big three. On another note, I have a large following on TikTok (https://bit.ly/3L3uBcj) and I'm finding ways to keep them engaged as well.

8. Where can we listen to your music and where can we buy your stuff?

The best places would be Bandcamp (https://therealcodyjames.bandcamp.com) or my website (https://officialcodyjames.com). I just added some new merch pieces and like I've said, new music is coming very soon !

9. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Give it time and keep an open mind. You might be hearing some new melodies and chords. Absorb them. This is a real human being making music from his soul. For me, I always have to listen to something 2-3 times before it begins to sink in. At that point if I feel no connection to the music, I'll move on. The first listen is always the hardest.

Pierce the Veil, which Rolling Stone once described as "hyperactive, progressive post-hardcore," serve up a new track full of fuzzy guitars, massive melodic hooks, and PTV's distinct emotional heart. "Pass the Nirvana" is quite the riff fest and it marks Pierce the Veil's first new music since 2016. It was worth the wait — and then some. It is destined to become a fan favorite that the PTV faithful will scream the lyrics to at their live shows.

"'Pass the Nirvana' is about the many horrible traumas that the youth of America have endured over the past few years," says frontman Vic Fuentes about the song's powerful, relatable, and topical subject matter. "COVID, no proms, no graduations, an insurrection, school shootings. The list goes on. Their lives have been tossed around like clothes in a dryer, as the tensions within our country have infiltrated our own homes, friends, and families. To me, the song represents a euphoric detachment from all of that anxiety and stress and about finding some form of peace or nirvana."

Metallic hardcore, post hardcore band TOTAL RECALL have an EP along with an album, with them already hard at work upon their next release out sometime in the next year. The band discusses their history, music, and more below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Total Recall was born in 2019. The founding members Luca (Pigo) (K-Aagain, Samaritan, Embrace Destruction), Stef (K-Again, Traces of You, Die Trying) and Danny (Embrace Destruction) were already veterans in the Hardcore/Metalcore scene and decided to start to write music together after their common friend and brother Massy passed away after a long fight with his disease. Massy toured with Pigo and Stef for more than 20 years and he wanted the 2 old friends to come back together in a band as they played in different bands for many years. Stef and Pigo recruited the drummer Danny who played in Embrace Destruction (the last band of Pigo and Massy) and decided to form a band with members who played or toured with Massy. After Pigo decided not be a singer anymore and to take Massy’s bass guitar to keep his legacy alive, with Stef at guitars and Danny at the drums, the line up started to write music without following any particular influence, with the only purpose to write songs that could reflect the style of music they played with Massy throughout the last 20 plus years. After a few months Andy was added as singer. Andy toured with Massy when he was in Rise Above Dead and his friendship with him went back some 15 plus years, and Stefano (Bleed) as guitarist who also was in Rise Above Dead.

With the line complete the band wrote 9 songs and released a mini Digital 2 songs EP “Wooden Scars” ( https://totalrecallhc1.bandcamp.com/album/wooden-scars-ep ) in January 2020 produced by Mark Gervasio who toured with Massy in Traces of You Being comforted by the positive reviews they entered the studio and they recorded the first Full Length “Always Together” (  https://totalrecallhc1.bandcamp.com/album/always-together-2 ) produced by Steph Orkid Santi who knew Massy since K-again in the early 2000’s. After receiving some interest for the release the band decided to sign with the Australian label 1054 Records and released “Always Together” in July 2021. The album was preceded by 2 singles videoclip Poison Flow ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xumKtnl3Wc ) and Seas of Illusion ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ_6VWUOpkQ ). After the pandemic the band started to play live shows in Europe trying to support the release of their full length doing what they do best…meaning playing live and released a third video “Never Again” ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3E23BPuxZ-c ).

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

After the completion of the line up the band was struggling to find a name that was somehow related to Massy’s memory. One night during the songwriting of a song in the studio we took a break and we had a drink with Massy’s sister. We were just going through some memories and she said that the first ever movie she saw was Total Recall and she saw it with her brother who loved it. We found this story fascinating and the sound of the name was really appealing, on top of that we all love 80’s movies and “The Governator” movies in particular. Just check the old merch from Embrace Destruction and you will understand why. That’s how Total Recall was born.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are now all based in Milano,IT after some of us relocated back from Holland and UK. The Heavy Hardcore/Metalcore scene is really struggling to even call itself a scene to be honest, even though bands like Defamed or Deep as Ocean come from there, actually also our brothers Fulci can be considered a Milan based band somehow. But there isn’t a specific scene really. All this bands are doing pretty good playing their way outside of the city and actually outside of the country.

4. How would you describe your style?

Good and difficult question. As we are all in the scene for more than 20 years we got influenced by lot of music like Metal, Nu-metal, Hardcore and all their subgenres. Most of the low tuned style we play we were already doing it back in 1998. Anyhow you could consider it as a low tuned metallic hardcore with a spark of post hardcore FFO Knocked Loose, Sanction, Norma Jean, Will Haven, Bodysnatcher, Desolated, Hatebreed and Kublai Khan.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

As we said previously we released a 2 song digital EP in 2020 (Wooden Scars) and a 9 songs Full Length in 2021 (Always Together). Always Together though was ready in March 2020, this means that the songwriting was mainly done by the 3 founding members in 2019. The songs were straight forward and constructed to involve people in a live show. The thread was to focus on heavy and bouncing tunes but somehow accessible to a larger audience, the new songs are less focused on inclusiveness musically speaking of course.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

After this 3 years the line up blended together pretty well and this has resulted in a different songwriting with an output that indeed is different from the previous releases while keeping the mood that was in there. We are now recording some pre productions and the new songs are definitely more blackened and more heavy. After the pre productions we will decide if we will record a full length or an EP but for sure in early 2023 we will release new music.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

The pandemic forced us to change all the plans we had and after that the live shows schedule was crazy, as there was a backlog of 2 years. Still now it’s hard for us to find spots planned ahead, but we managed to enter some good line ups like the Perseverance and Alliance Tour in France this spring and several club shows in Italy in really nice venues with a good turnout. In the near future we will play a short UK tour in November (3-4-5) supporting No Second Chance and a small run in mainland Europe in December in Switzerland, Holland and Belgium. We will go from there and try to plan a decent set of European shows to support the new release in 2023.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Our plans are focused on a new release in 2023 supported by as many continental shows as we can, mostly week enders or medium runs if there will be the occasion. We will release also a couple of videos to support the new release which will have some nice featuring's in some of the songs but we cannot spoiler too much ;)

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can listen to our music pretty much everywhere but of course we would suggest our Sportify Channel ( https://open.spotify.com/artist/4CEQfQQ6l9oOaEJpuaa3co ), if you like to see some more content don’t miss our YT Channel TOTAL RECALL TV with official videos, Studio Diaries, Live Performances, Short Docs and Playthrough ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgVL02wd44dzTDKQdAzDGzA/videos ). If you feel like check out our textile and buy our physical releases feel free to check our Bandcamp Page ( https://totalrecallhc1.bandcamp.com/ )

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Nice question. We would love if he would remember that our songs gave him a sensation, or a feeling of warmth and that he could remember clearly a sensation of truthfulness through the music and the lyrics.

Having formed in early 2020 STAR PIXEL has defined their style of sound as "eletro-grunge", releasing their debut album, with a lot of material leftover perhaps saving them for a rainy day. The band talks of possible live show plans and their current debut.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

We formed in early 2020, just prior to the first lockdown. It began with a vision that Charlie (Howell) had for a musical project that would blend grunge and EDM. He suggested this to former bandmate (Bokaata and Up & Atom) Gavin (Chappell-Bates) who loved the idea, especially as it had been a couple of years since he released his last solo album. When lockdown hit and there was no live music, this project became a place of solace, hope and creativity and we both quickly started assembling a large collection of songs. As we couldn't meet up, we worked remotely from one another, sending ideas back and forth, layering up sounds and songs in what became the perfect collaboration and fusion of ideas and styles.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

CH: "I got the idea for the name when I was at work and came across a high-resolution image of a galaxy from a space telescope. Seeing all these billions of unimaginably massive stars reduced to single pixels on a computer screen seemed somewhat ludicrous and amusing."

As the band was about blending and fusing different styles and ideas, the name was kind of a representation of this in bringing together two things, one ('a star') massive, and the other ('a pixel') at the other end of the size scale.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We're based in Cambridgeshire and there is so much amazing talent locally. There are brilliant bands worth checking out such as Bouquet of Dead Crows, Goldblume, Fred's House and Collars, as well as some very talented songwriters such as Luke Williams and Flaming June.

4. How would you describe your style?

We've defined it as 'Electro-Grunge'.

We both grew up listening to a lot of 90s grunge music and are both big fans, so we wanted to take that and bring it forward with some more modern production elements, hence fusing it with EDM/Drum&Bass/Dubstep.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Our debut album 'Hadron Kaleidoscope' came out in August 2022. We've released 4 singles from it so far, the last, Superimposer, included us fighting a giant DM boot in the music video!

It's a ten track album and we're really happy with the final results in terms of how the mood and tone flows from start to end. The songs are written to be immediate and impactful, but with plenty of nuance and variation to keep it interesting. We really hope you'll enjoy it.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We wrote quite a lot of songs for the project and only ten made it onto the album - we wanted to keep it lean! It's not that we thought the others were not good enough, but they were tonally quite different, and didn't quite fit with how we wanted the album to sound

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Given how the album was written and recorded, and the fact there is only two of us, we haven't yet turned this into a live project. It's not to say we won't in the future though...

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

It was quite intense getting the album finished so we're going to be taking a bit of time to have a break and reflect. We may release more tracks from the album. We also have other tracks unfinished that we'd like to get out there, at least another single and an EP.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can find out more on our website: https://starpixelmusic.com/

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

The energy and power of the guitar and vocal hooks and an intrigue with the fusion of styles.

Heavy groove metal band GORILLA WIZARD had had a handful of releases out with newer content on the way! The band discusses all of these matters below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Mikal and Bertrum have been jamming for years. Ry and Bertrum had also been jamming for years, but with Bertrum on drums. In 2018, Bertrum showed them both his riffs and they started working on songs. Mike showed their friend Gaben and he wrote lyrics. Ry joined as a bassist, Bertrum hopped on guitar, Mikal stuck to drums and Gaben got on vocals. They recorded Tales From The Cauldron in late 2018 and have since been parsing through hundreds of Bertrum’s riffs. In December 2020, Bertrum broke a finger on his fretting hand. Immediately after he finished his last surgery, he began writing “Infinite Wave.” Soon after, the video for Maple Crunch was selected for the Portland Film festival, and the band performed for their online concert. In mid 2022, Gorilla Wizard finished the EP they had been working on and they are proud to be releasing their first work under Sodeh records: White Knuckle/Black Magic.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Bertrum is a gorilla who is also a wizard. 10,000 years ago, Bertrum ate a space banana and gained magical powers. He honed these powers with the help of the famed sorcerer, Merlin. After another 1500 years, he got bored and took up guitar.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Gorilla Wizard are NYC natives. The overall area is home to NYC hardcore and death metal and Long Island prog-rock. They kinda land in the middle of both and draw from a very diverse scene.

Although the scene in NYC and Long Island was once strongly based on community-minded hardcore and death metal, the amount of venues in which to play said music have been dwindling down over the years.

Current local bands Gorilla Wizard really digs are: Gospel, Fake Piss, False Gods, Flee To The Vault, Buckshot Facelift, Reeking Aura, Charged For Battle, Patterns of Decay, Johnny Booth, Cryptodiria, People’s Temple Project and the Knottie Boys.

4. How would you describe your style?

Heavy groove. Elements of stoner metal, death metal, and doom metal. Verr Hevv.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Tales From the Cauldron - LP 2019

Infinite Wave - Single 2021

Totally Live From the Portland Film Festival - EP 2021

White Knuckle/Black Magic - EP 2022

Expect big raucous grooves and hairy riffs. Being fans of all things metal, the band will continue to grow and take from multiple sub-genres and add their own signature big hairy sound.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Currently the band is ramping up for the release of their EP White Knuckle/Black Magic. Soon after, they have a split planned with NY friend Titanosaur, a small offering of groove laden singles, and the next, more thrashy LP: Gorilla Wizard Vs. The Simian Sorcerer. Stay tuned for details.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

As of right now the band is focused on writing and recording and will not be touring. They may play a show or two, but Bertrum is too busy playing Elden Ring and can’t be bothered.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

The band has plans to move into other forms of media and tell the stories of Bertrum and his follies for as long as they can. They have plans for comics, a D&D campaign, a novella, and a podcast, along with new music. It’ll always come back to the music.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

As goofy as the band seems, the music matters most. We love spectacle with a grandiose show and telling a story, but the music is the most important aspect of this band. The band takes the music and songwriting very seriously.
