German progressive death metal masters, OBSCURA, are set to return to the U.S. this spring for the 'Stardust Tour.' The 18-date run begins on March 15th at the legendary Whisky-A-Go-Go in Hollywood, includes key stops in Austin, Philadelphia, and Detroit, and concludes on April 3rd in Roseville, CA. They will be joined by ALLEGAEON, COGNITIVE, and CRYPTOSIS.

OBSCURA's Steffen Kummerer comments, “OBSCURA will return to the United States in March and April 2026 as part of the ongoing 'A Sonication World Tour' (2025–2027). We look forward to presenting material from the new album alongside a selection of deep cuts that have never been performed live before. Joining us are Allegaeon and Cognitive from the United States—both leading forces in modern technical and progressive death metal—and Dutch avant-garde thrash unit Cryptosis, completing a powerful and diverse lineup. The ‘Stardust USA 2026’ tour promises an immersive and uncompromising live experience for our North American fans.”

Germany's progressive death metal masters OBSCURA complete their long-running, four-album conceptual circle with the release of "Diluvium" (defined as a great oceanic flood), their most evocative, diverse and vibrant release to date. "Diluvium" is due out July 13th 2018 on CD/LP/Digital via Relapse Records.

The band has released a new song turned video titled "Diluvium" off the new album, which was directed by Mirko Witzki (Kreator, Blind Guardian, Caliban) and further explores the album's celestial themes. The band commented further on the concept:

"With the title track of our new album we present you one of the most fast forward and brutal compositions "Diluvium" has to offer. The music video created by German Cinematographer Mirko Witzki shows the first part of a connected story relating to the band's long running four album cycle."

Montreal’s tech death metal band, BENEATH THE MASSACRE, have announced their first ever set of dates in Japan this alongside Obscura. The band will venture over to Japan in the middle of June after completing a string of dates touring Canada. BENEATH THE MASSACRE will be out in support of their latest release, “Incongruous”, which Decibel magazine describes as “…absolutely pulverizing”.

The collection, set to be released in March 2012, will include ten never-before-heard tracks, including the band's earliest recordings from 2003, unreleased songs from the Cosmogenesis sessions of 2006, and brand new cover songs with the newest line-up from 2011. The album's tracklisting, cover art, and numerous, unique packages are available directly from the band now via Kickstarter at this location.

German progressive metal titans OBSCURA have announced a four-week headlining European tour in the spring of 2012 in support of their latest album Omnivium.. Support on the tour will come from label-mates SPAWN OF POSSESSION, French tech-death maestros GOROD, and Dutch progressive metallers EXIVIOUS. The tour will kick-off on March 9th in Stuttgart, Germany then march through Scandinavia, Eastern and Southern Europe, and the UK before returning to Germany on April 7th. The wildly-progressive German metal quartet OBSCURA has announced their first ever demo collection, entitled 'Illegimitation' and set to be released independently by the band this March. The collection will include ten never-before-heard tracks, including the band's earliest recordings from 2003, unreleased songs from the Cosmogenesis sessions of 2006, and brand new cover songs with the newest line-up from 2011.

Sticking to their reputation of being one of the genre's most forward-thinking bands, OBSCURA have decided to release a special, limited-time pre-order for 'Illegimitation' through Kickstarter.com. The album's tracklisting, cover art, and numerous, unique packages are available directly from the band now at this location.

OBSCURA's Steffen Kummerer commented on the release; "This will be a independent release so we can give our fans the opportunity to participate in the project and offer special packages such as a livelong free entry to all Obscura shows, limited edition items, face to face lessons with our members, and tour used gear from the band!"

ABYSMAL DAWN has announced an extensive North American tour as direct support to label-mates OBSCURA. The tour will start Nov. 4 in Wilmington, Delaware and run through Dec. 7 with additional support from LAST CHANCE TO REASON (select dates) and ENFOLD DARKNESS (select dates). A full list of dates is included below.

Additionally,the Los Angeles-based death metal band will re-issue their long out-of-print debut album, 'From Ashes', on January 17th via Relapse Records. Originally released in 2006, this wildly underrated album will feature 3 bonus tracks and is available for pre-order now at this location.

Earlier this year, the band released their most accomplished effort to date, Leveling The Plane of Existence and are currently giving fans the chance to shoot the first music video for the album's single "My Own Savior". Details on the Metal Injection sponsored video contest are available here.
