Japanese maid cafe’s are a BIG thing in Japan, and as of late, Japanese culture has become a BIG deal around the world. So various maid cafes have been brought forth into the U.S.A. Some have been experienced by me already, but another one that had a previous location, which was closed down and relocated to a new location in Monterey Park, California called the ASAYORU Maid Cafe, is collaborating with the mobile game  Azur Lane! Commander!. This collaboration took place during the 2024 holiday season, towards the end of the year. This mobile game features various girls in numerous outfits, fighting in various forms, this special event featured the bunny maids!

Upon arriving in their free parking structure, maybe others had arrived to experience this cafe, it being open nightly from 5PM to 9PM. But due to this ticketed only event, it was opened from 5PM to 10:30PM, depending on the hours chosen. Having picked the last event of the evening from 9PM to 10:30PM, there was a small crowd forming, where each person was gathered into small groups, with sections A, B, C, etc Our group was group C, and we were sat together, with some other guests, and we all interacted with one another, talking about interests, after being seated inside.

The cafe was a decent size, maximum capacity fitting roughly 90ish people inside. The décor featured the bunny girls from the Azur Lane! Commander game, stickers, cut outs, holiday décor, with each table featuring place mats, water in star glasses, with our maid Suzme, being our server maid. She brought our drinks, meal, and had us do a special spell to make our meal be magically! The various options available for food included hamburger, pasta, goulash, gyudon, and pudding for dessert. The portions were good, and good and drink were just as tasty!

Whilst enjoying our meal, the entirety of the maids came upon the small stage set up, greeting us, telling us a story of their characters, what each one did, and how much fun they were having being there with us! After this, a few performances were performed, being very fun, with all there cheering and clapping! The maids were very considerate with us, making sure our meal was good, and that we had enough drinks, napkins anything we needed they were there to serve!

All in all, this collaborated event was a fun filled one, lots of fun, interactive, and just a joyous time celebrated with bunny maids for this special end of the year event.  The cafe with special events or not, is surely one to check out, and have an experience that is a dinner with a show, plus much more offered, it makes it a true memorable experience to come back too!
