One year ago former I Am Ghost frontman Steven Juliano fronted Epitaph Record's most talked about bands over the course of their 6 year career. During which they got signed to Epitaph one year after their formation, got their jump start from their EP 'We Are Always Searching" which sprung three studio albums 2006's "Lovers' Requiem", 2008’s "Those We Leave Behind", and 2009's "LIVE in Orange County". Things were running in accordance to the band's success factor and everything they had gained would soon be lost. One year after their live LP was released in 2009, Juliano would break the news of the band's departure. According to him he says that the band had matured and grown up. The things that I Am Ghost preserved once before had lost its grip upon him and his band mates and things just weren't cutting it so everything just had to be let go.

Thus the end of I Am Ghost was put to rest and the birth of music was envisioned again with a whole another project, Requiem For The Dead (RFTD) is Steven Juliano (vocals), TY Oliver (guitar and programming), and Fin Stobbe (bassist). The name had come to Juliano late one night and he wanted to use it to represent the remembrance of his past, of the people and love he received that were no longer there and he thought right then and there that it just fit so well he went with it. Influence taken in account for RFTD was put into effect one whole year before I Am Ghost had called it quits. During I Am Ghost's European tour they had been gone for three months and during that time Juliano had lapsed into an illness and from then on he became depressed and angered by all who came near him. He disliked being this way with a passion and after returning home some time was spent to think things through and RFTD was brought in and everything was put into effect for the time being. After some time off I Am Ghost toured once more then everything ended and that weight was lifted off Juliano's shoulders. Terms with the band are far behind him. Now that RFTD is within his grasp this band takes the music focus and lets the band go at their own pace doing something they love and want to create.

When the announcement of Juliano’s return to the music scene after taking some time to breath fans of I Am Ghost were ecstatic to have a listen and see what all the buzz was all about. Over a course of a few months’ hints and guesses were tossed about while more information was being said the band went onto release several demos of various recordings on the band’s Facebook page and then shot and later released a music video and now the approach of their full-length debut LP “Always and Forever” is growing ever so nearer.
“Always and Forever”, will hit the downloadable waves on the net on September 2, giving fans the chance to grab it for 100% free on the band’s website www.requiemforthedead.com. But when it comes down to the album altogether it’s broken down into being nothing like I Am Ghost whatsoever. But embraces a uniqueness all its own. As such, the album has a split personality meeting the raw intensity that is taking sound qualities of acts like Falling In Reverse meets modern day Goth rockers The Birthday Massacre. The emotion is there and keeps the music pulsing from start to finish which makes the music that more enjoyable to listen in on, over and over again.

"The Death Note of Shipwrecks", “I'm No Angel", 'The Misadventure of Coffin Kid 2", and 'Kill or be Killed", really preserve the essence that indicates the real powerful passion that RFTD is and who they pursue to be. These songs alone take in hand a band with talent and uniqueness that can't be overlooked. Embracing it with the dreading passed that will cease to exist.

Fans of Falling In Reverse, The Birthday Massacre, Black Veil Brides, Escape The Fate, Aiden, and William Control will find Requiem For The Dead to their liking with ease of appeal.

Blink-182 haven't released an album in quite sometime but the wait is over with the release of their new album "Neighborhoods". Their first single "Up All Night" preimered making a buzz of all sorts and with a single comes the new video. But not just one but two versions of it. The first, which debuted earlier this month, was comprised of unsanctioned fan clips the band put together into a montage as a way of saying thanks to their legions of followers. The second, slightly more official, debuted today and is available above. In it, the band trade the wacky antics of their fans for the wanton destruction of the greatest block party ever thrown. It’s nice to see that even after all these years, the boys still know how to behave like true hooligans. "Neighborhoods" arrives in stores on September 27th via Geffen.

Toxic Holocaust mutated into existence in 1999, when Joel Grind merged his love for classic punk and metal into his ideal band. Like his influences - Bathory, Venom, English Dogs, Possessed, Broken Bones - Toxic Holocaust features blazing riffs, gravel-throated vocals and a deadly fixation on the evil in man and post-apocalyptic imaginings. Check out the band's newest video for Judgment Awaits You" off their latest release "Conjure and Command" from Releapse Records.

"You're Caught", the new video from the Los Angeles hardcore/metal band TERROR, can be seen below. The clip was filmed on a day off during the group's latest run of summer festival dates in Europe and was directed by Christian Alsan and produced by Carlo Oppermann.

Instead of making the "typical" hardcore live music clip, the band opted to shoot a video that features graphic violence and gore.

"You're Caught" will be available on TERROR's new DVD, "Defining The Faith", which will be included in the CD/DVD reissue of the band's latest album, "Keepers Of The Faith". Due out November 1, this special reissue is described in a press release as "a must-have for all hardcore TERROR fans."

Long Beach, CA's THE GREENERY will be supporting metallic hardcore legends, RINGWORM, this fall on a full US tour. This is addition to their previously announced tour supporting Cruel Hand and a Canadian run. The band has been on the road all year with the likes of Madball, Such Gold and more and appeared at New England Metal and Hardcore Fest, Jamboree Fest and Sound & Fury. The band has also released the video for "Spit & Argue," the title track of their debut record, which hit the streets on July 19th. Check it out, now! Fearless Vampire Killer's as the name goes the band's portrayal is vampiresque. As such these five-some pop death punks have provided a tale all of their own. That goes with the release of their debut EP "In Grandomina...” Frontman Laurence Beveridge had written a novel Ruple & Evelyn and according to him the songs were based on personal experiences but illustrated in a fictional setting that is further explained in the novel. Nevertheless, that tale of the beginning has continued forth with a new chapter titled "The Blood Never Dries".

This follow-up EP comes with a set of tunes that resemble that of its previous release but this variety enhances the listener’s experience. The intro track is just that an awkwardly distorted intro that goes right into "A Study In Dystopia", an upbeat pop punk instrumental track that has a soothing pattern with an aggressive effect that makes the music "pop"! "Bleed Til Sunrise", is the exact opposite of the soothing method with aggressive beat but more oppressive than aggressive if that makes sense. This tune keeps the guitars at bay at times letting them accord at their own will as everything else follows through.

"Concede, Repent, Destroy", has a soft intro then breaks free and keeps a high momentum of energy pulsing throughout the tune.  The guitars, drums, and bass lines are all there releasing a constant rush builds the music more and more concluding with the final track in the mix "Fetish For The Finite". This song debuted in the format of a music video the second by the Fearless Vampire Killers, having their first be "Palace In Flames". “Fetish For The Finite”, is slightly similar to “Palace In Flames” having the same beat rhythm and type of lyrical context but it turns out to be more in-depth.

Fearless Vampire Killers are on a killing streak if you will and surely the conclusion to their epic tale will justify everything.

"I'll Bite Your Face Off", the new video from Alice Cooper, can be seen below. The song comes off the legendary rocker's hugely anticipated new album, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare", which will be released on September 13 via Universal Music Enterprises. Recorded with longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, who produced the original multi-platinum "Welcome To My Nightmare" album in 1975, the LP picks up right where they left off, with Alice trapped in his own warped mind.

Finnish/Swedish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH have inked a new European deal with Nuclear Blast Records. The band's new album, "Imaginarium", will be released in December. The U.S. version of the CD will be made available through Roadrunner Records.

Commented NIGHTWISH keyboardist/mainman Tuomas Holopainen: "We are very happy to continue working with the Nuclear Blast family! Our collaboration started on a friendship basis and continues to do so.

"I was utterly happy and relieved to see they truly understood what 'Imaginarium' is all about, and we seem to share similar profound enthusiasm towards it.

"I feel privileged working with such people who, despite the infinite maze of business they must handle properly, still have a huge heart for music itself. "

Added Andy Siry, head of A&R and label manager of Nuclear Blast: "We are very happy that NIGHTWISH and Nuclear Blast Records can continue as a team.

"NIGHTWISH became the biggest success of our label and everyone in the band, their management and crew also became trustful and close friends. For us, it is a pleasure to work with such highly gifted musicians and a genius like Tuomas Holopainen, as a songwriter and composer. We also thank King Foo Entertainment [NIGHTWISH's management company] for their belief and the great relationship between all of us.

"We are looking forward to the next releases with the band, starting with the upcoming masterpiece, 'Imaginarium', which is another big step for this visionary band, which is simply outstanding and brilliant."

NIGHTWISH recently spent time not only putting finishing touches to its new album, "Imaginarium", but also planning a movie of the same name. If all goes well, the film will arrive at some point in 2012.

NIGHTWISH will kick off the "Imaginarium" world tour in Los Angeles. The very first show of the trek will take place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Saturday, January 21. This will be the biggest NIGHTWISH show production ever on North American soil and strictly a one-off — there will be no U.S. tour until later in 2012.

Here's a teaser poster for Underworld: Awakening in which the battle between the Vampires and Lycans will continue in the third dimension. Kate Beckinsale gloriously returns to reprise her role as Selene. The film also stars Charles Dance, Michael Ealy, India Eisley, Stephen Rea, Sandrine Holt, Kris Holden-Ried, Richard Cetrone, Theo James and Robert Lawrenson.

Here's a brief synopsis:

After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale) learns that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.

The film is set to be released on January 20, 2012.

Mattel's Monster High line introduced us to its Scream Uniforms which were released as individual packs consisting of Frankie Stein Fearleading outfit, Deuce Gorgon Casketball outfit, Lagoona Blue's swim team outfit, and Clawdeen Wolf's Soccor outfit has now been made into real dolls and thrown together into a 4-pack! This exclusive set is nothing compared to other exclusives packs released recently, Dawn of the Dance's 3-pack that includes Frankie Stein, Clawdeen Wolf, and exclusive Draculaura. While also adding the Gloom Beach line into its own 5-pack to consist of just the girl ghouls, Frankie Stein, Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Cleo De Nile and exclusive Ghoulia Yelps. Another 3-pack includes the Fearleading team's Draculaura, Cleo De Nile, and Ghoulia Yelps.

Scream Uniforms 4-Pack
Dawn of the Dance 3-Pack
Gloom Beach 5-Pack
Fearleading 3-Pack

With the release of all of these package deals it has had fans go beyond the collectors standards and make their own creations, at a recent outing to Target a Lagoona Blue original wave 1 box was beaten up sitting on the shelf  with the accessories intact i.e. diary, brush, stand, but there were differences to take notice of, the doll was not that of Lagoona Blue but of Dawn of the Dance Frankie Stein and the pet which was apparently suppose to be Neptuna was actually Holt Hyde's pet Crossfade.

This just goes to show you that the fans who are in need of wanting what they just "have to have" is going beyond reason to begin with.

Punk icons the Misfits return with their long-awaited, first full-length release of all-new, original material in nearly a decade. Rooted in the horror and sci-fi themes their audience craves, The Devil’s Rain will be released October 4th on Misfits Records. It was produced by Ed Stasium, who’s credits include the Ramones’ Road to Ruin and Too Tough to Die, as well as the Misfits’ 1999 release Famous Monsters.

The Devil’s Rain showcases a jaw-dropping, two-panel front/back cover painting featuring the rebirth of the band’s iconic “Fiend” mascot in an epic setting rendered by Arthur Suydam (known for his immensely popular work on the Marvel Zombies series, among others). The band’s current lineup – consisting of founding member Jerry Only on vocals/bass, Black Flag alum Dez Cadena, and drummer Eric “Chupacabra” Arce – will kick off an extensive US tour in September.

In 1977, at the dawn of the punk movement the Misfits set out to make an impression, and created a legacy that has truly withstood the test of time. Immortalizing black and white B horror films in their music, the Misfits developed a ghoulish and totally unique persona of their own that’s consistently evolved over the years, while remaining true to its roots. The band’s iconic "Fiend Skull" logo has become a staple in pop culture, and an instantly recognizable symbol worldwide.

Bands across the spectrum of rock have covered their material, including Metallica, Guns ‘n’ Roses, My Chemical Romance and countless others citing the ‘Fits as a key influence. Boasting a massive catalog of music old and new, the Misfits are generating more interest today than ever before. With new releases charting higher than all priors, and constant touring around the globe, their diverse demographic and legion of “fiends” (as their fans are affectionately known), multiplies daily.

For both fans of their classics and newcomers discovering the band for the very first time, The Devil’s Rain embodies the ferocity and melody that have made the Misfits omnipresent and immortal. One thing is certain, The Misfits are here to stay and every day is Halloween.
