ATREYU will embark on a headline tour in May 2016 in recognition and celebration of the 10-year anniversary of their album A Death-Grip on Yesterday. The band will be playing the album in full for the first time, as well as songs from their catalog and their current album Long Live. Islander and Sworn In will serve as support, save for the Seattle date, during which Nekrogoblikon will replace Sworn In.

ATREYU vocalist Alex Varkatzas said, "Death-Grip is my favorite 'older' ATREYU album. It represents an exciting time and place for myself and my brothers. It's our most 'to the point' record. I also feel it's one of our most natural records as well. Lyrically, I got to run free and it felt great. We are pleased to play it in its entirety and give each song its due!"

Drummer and vocalist Brandon Saller concurred, "For me, Death-Grip was a landmark record in our career. I feel that it was the first album we made where we took fearless leaps into the unknown. This record is still one of my favorite pieces of work we've ever done and I feel like our fans hold it in the same regard. I'm really excited to celebrate 10 great years of this album's life. We will be playing Death-Grip front to back, as well as a good bunch of other favorites."

Messages To The Masses have gone on to release their latest addition "Means To An End". Where they then went out on a brief touring cycle, in support of this release, titling the tour itself after this release, "Means To An End Tour", where the band discusses their time out on the road, from all view points possible.

1. You guys just wrapped up the Means To An End Tour, how was it for everyone, that was a part of it?

It was amazing for all of us. One of the first, longer tours we’ve been on and couldn’t of had more fun. A part of it was a lot of driving. We also almost fell off a cliff at one point but, that didn’t stop us for doing what we love. Every show we played was a memory we will never forget.

2. Why did you want to go and do this mini tour instead of a full-fledged tour?

Well we wanted to get our first tour out of the way so that we would have the experience under our belts before going into a full on month or longer tour. Also we wanted to prove to ourselves that we could do it on our own. I’m not saying we didn’t get any help but, we planned it and it was successful.

3. When you headline do you change things up and switch songs from show to show?

Doesn’t matter if we’re headlining or not. This last tour we kept it all the same because we want to make sure all of our fans are hearing the same thing off of the album we just released. In the future we will probably switch things up to keep it tasty.

4. When it comes to performing each and every night does the time stand still or does it fly by when performing?

When you first get to the venue it’s pretty slow however, when it gets closer to playing, it’s like there wasn’t enough time to get ready haha.

5. Any strange or unusual happenings while out on the road or at a live show?

Nothing too strange or crazy for us. When we were going through the Rocky Mountains we almost slide off a massive cliff. Now that was a little unsettling but yet, inspired us to push on and continue to do what we love!

6. When the show ends every night and the band walks off the stage; what happens does the band head backstage or straight to the tour bus/van, dressing room, bathroom, etc.

We all help each other out with grabbing our things and what not. Then we all get together and congratulate each other on what a great show we had.

7. What's the best prank you've played on band mates or other bands?

We haven’t really pulled anything like that. However, doesn’t mean that it’s not going to happen in the future. ;)

8. Who goes the longest without taking a shower?

I would say it’s either Mikey or Matt Mcadam.

9. How many times do you have to wear the same piece of clothing because you couldn't find a laundry matt?

Just depends on each band member.

10. Who has the worst tour hygiene?

I would have to say Matt Mcadam.

11. Who has the worst dress sense?

Mikey.

12. What has been the best hotel/motel that you have slept in and what made it the best out of all the others?

We stayed in the Stratosphere in Las, Vegas. Just look it up on google, it literally has a 1000 things you can do in there.

13. Who is the last one to get on the tour bus/van?

Mikey, he’s usually wondering off to Burger King or somewhere without telling anyone haha.

14. What do you miss most from home when you're on tour?

The people that aren’t with us that we love the most.

15. What plans do you have for the near future as a band?

Well if I told you, then it wouldn’t be interesting now would it? We have a lot of plans however, everyone is going to have to wait and see what that is!

Riding on the momentum from their latest album Showa 90, Japanese trauma-techno-pop band URBANGARDE has announced a series of new projects for 2016.

URBANGARDE’s vocalist Yoko Hamasaki will release a solo album, Blue Forest, on June 15, which will be her second since the Film Noir EP released 6 years ago. Hamasaki herself will produce the project, without lyrics from URBANGARDE leader Tennma Matsunaga, to create a completely different musical world.

Film Noir, which quickly sold out of its original limited run of 1000 copies, has been re-released on iTunes. To celebrate the release of her second album, Hamasaki will begin a tour of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka titled “Into the Forest – Dark Blue Door.”

Film Noir on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/filmnoir-ep/id366608521.

URBANGARDE will also release a limited-edition, live show-only CD titled Showa 91, available in 2 versions: “Monkey Version” and “Regular Version”.

Vocalist Temma Matsunaga will release his second later this year, titled Shoujo ka, shousetsu ka (“Girl, or novel?”). Matsunaga published his first book of short stories and essays Jisatsushatachi (“Selfie People”) last October. Jun Itarihoba of Golden Bomber has endorsed the book, saying that “A good novel = a book that the writer needs to write or he’ll die. A bad novel = something written by the author in hopes of becoming popular. Everyone, this is a definitely a good novel.”

“Monthly URBANGARDExTRMN” the band’s latest 80-page photo book, will be released in April, furthering the band’s artistic mission of combining musical and visual artistic expression.

One of Rolling Stone's "25 Most Anticipated Metal Albums for 2016," Hatebreed's long-awaited The Concrete Confessional is now available for pre-order HERE.   The album is set for a May 13 release on Nuclear Blast Records (worldwide), and follows 2013's The Divinity of Purpose that debuted at #20 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart and at #1 on the Hard Rock Albums chart.

For those who just can't wait, Hatebreed - Jamey Jasta/vocals, Frank Novinec/ guitar, Chris Beattie/ bass, Wayne Lozinak/guitar, and Matt Byrne/drums - has released a clip that features a taste of three of the brand new songs - "A.D.," "Looking Down The Barrel of Today," and "The Apex Within."  You can check that out HERE.

Hatebreed is making available an array of CD bundles with the pre-order launch of The Concrete Confessional that will include items such as vinyl, t-shirts, posters, a Prayer candle, a Skull & Maces journal, album digital download and more.  Go to Hatebreed's online store for all details.

The Concrete Confessional was recorded in Connecticut, produced by long-time collaborator Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Suicide Silence, Whitechapel), and mixed by Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Megadeth).  Artwork was created by Marcelo Vasco (Slayer).  The new music is crushing and heavy with provocative lyrics that touch upon a number of topics that have become front-and-center in today's New Normal:  the rise of terrorism, police brutality, moral decay, greed and betrayal, increased divisiveness, and the fading promise of the American Dream, potently covered on the track "A.D."

This summer's most anticipated music festival returns with it's line-up below and touring cycle of June 24th through August 13th 2016. A full listing of cities and venues can be found right HERE.
