March 2012

Lion Splicer is two brothers who want to show the world what they're made of and their form of doing such a thing is through music!

Coming from New York these thrashing punk rockers have taken their heroes from Zeppelin, Zappa, the Foos, the Waste, and the Dan to build a sound to call their own and since the release of their debut EP "Valkyrie", this set of tracks maintains the rock n' roll vibe with punk rock edge that keeps the music at bay but still maintains a powerful rhythm.

Lion Splicer got what it takes to get to the top they just need the continuous momentum to keep them from lagging the motivation.

Turn on your TV’s and throw those horns in the air! MACHINE HEAD’s Robb Flynn will appear on this weekend’s season premiere episode of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show with Metallica’s Lars Ulrich. MACHINE HEAD bludgeoned onto the charts last fall with a remarkable #22 Billboard Top 200 chart debut for their new album, Unto The Locust. Released in North America on September 27th, 2011 via Roadrunner Records, Unto The Locust is widely-regarded as a new opus in modern metal. In 2011, Unto The Locust was voted #1 on Sirius XM Liquid Metal, #2 in Revolver Magazine’s end-of-year list, and #31 in Decibel Magazine’s Top 100 of 2011, just to name a few. The record has garnered stellar reviews referring to it as “a breathtaking work”, “one of 2011’s essential albums”, “a modern metal masterpiece”, “the most accomplished record [MACHINE HEAD] has ever recorded”, and “album of the year” by several of today’s top music publications and entertainment journalists. Be sure to purchase Unto The Locust on iTunes or physically at Best Buy or your local music retailer.

Mattel’s Monster High line has engrossed since its debut back in 2010. Now that two years have passed it’s continued to engulf us with its ghoulish secrets upcoming trends and all new products. Thus one line in particular that stirred up interest was its Sweet 1600 line that went on to celebrate Draculaura’s (Daughter of Dracula) Birthday of her turning 1600 years old. So with this celebration there just has to be a doll assortment to accompany this.

Of course I am and that is what has been done with not one but 3 additions that includes beasties Clawdeen Wolf (Daughter of the Werewolf) Clawd Wolf (Son and brother to Clawdeen Wolf/Werewolf) Frankie Stein (Daughter of Frankenstein) and Cupid (Daughter of Eros) BUT that’s not all there was also a special Birthday gift that Draculaura’s father gave her which was a car!

This brings us to this review that captures the edgy yet flashy details that is Draculaura’s Roadster! The styling of this car is basic for the most part it's a basic doll car the doors don't open and only movable parts are the wheels. But as most doll cars tend to have are sticker parts but this is a minor sticker type car, it’s covered in a black coat with pink outer trims here and there. While the seat or seats can fit two ghouls per ride with matching seatbelts to keep safety first. Other notable details are the sleek design with amazing detail in each and every possible way that makes this roadster scarier cool!

On a side note this car has also been seen in one of the many specials in celebration of just this occasion, this past February’s Valentine’s Day weekend TV special “Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love?”.
Expect far more things to come from the world that is and always will be Mattel’s Monster High!

Well, well, well, it’s been quite some time since we last heard from The Used well no it’s just been 3 years since 2009's "Artwork" hit the streets. Now 3 years later "Vulnerable" has peeked over the horizon and all new label to back it up, will it live up to its previous processors?

"I Come Alive", "This Fire", "Put Me Out", "Now That You're Dead", and "Kiss It Goodbye", are all of the tunes that tend to stand out on this all new release. The instrumentals used throughout this selection is very edgy and upbeat keeping the guitars, bass, and drum lines together while the vocals punch in keeping it constantly flowing. It's energetic and improves the music well enough that it’s worth more than once.

“Vulnerable” is an album that surpasses the time that was once fulfilled uplifting a whole another beginning and upcoming future that The Used will see fit.

It is a time where dubstep has entered our domain and where industrial and drumstep, dubstep all unite to create a genre known as bass metal with drum and bass cut in between thus the birth of Zardonic begins.

"Vulgar Display Of Bass" takes everything mentioned above and injects it with a musical twist that really keeps the beats coming at the listener. Some of the tunes that really stand out include "Revolution", "Kickass", "Dominate", "Destroy", "Cut Raw", and "Deathmachine" are just a selective set of tunes that really express the reality and uniqueness that is Zardonic.

The instrumental use being portrayed here is creative and catchy really driving that over the edge source of rhythm and technique. Zardonic continues to further push his boundaries beyond the Drum and Bass scene and explore his endless well of creativity and there is no stopping him.

Belgium metallers Different Stories has got their first debut full-length on the horizon and talks to us about how the band got it’s start, what influences them, and what types of songs we can expect once this album hits the streets! If you haven’t heard of these guys well now you have!

1. What type of band are you?

Brecht; We're Different Stories, a melodic hardcore/metalcore band from Antwerpen, Belgium!

2. Tell us the brief history of your band.

Vonny: Our band started when Maxim, our guitar player, was playing with a band called “By All Means”. This band decided to call it quits, but Max wanted to get going again so he asked some friends to join his new project, and that's how Different Stories was born. We shifted our line-up a little, and decided to record a demo as soon as we felt ready.

Vincent; This demo received a lot of attention and we got a lot of positive feedback. After some time Jeroen , the previous vocalist, had to stop with the band because he had some health issues. This is when I, Vincent, received the chance to prove myself. We've rehearsed a lot, and now we feel confident enough to concour the world. That's why we're in the process of recording our debut album.

3. Who are your musical influences?

Sven; Whoaw, that's a hard question. Different Stories has got 5 members; Me (Vincent V.H.- Vocals), Maxim (Guitar), Sven (Guitar), Brecht (Bass) and Vincent D (Drums). We all have our own influences that we try to combine it when we create songs. I think we all listen to: August Burns Red, The Plot In You, La Dispute, More Than Life, The Color Morale, Volumes, Architects, Northlane and As Enemies Arise. If you listen to our songs, you'll probably hear hese bands slip through the cracks of our sound.

4. Where are you in the recording process of the new album?

Maxim: We're recording the vocals as we speak! The longer that we record this album, the more excited we get! It's or debut album, so we really want to do this right! We feel like we're raising a kid here so we're trying to make the right decisions! We've put alot of work into this record and we think you will be able to hear that, even more if you know with what we started out!

5. Who is producing the album? How has the producer aided the recording process?

Vonny: We asked Jeroen Peeters from “The Front Studio” to produce this album. Jeroen isn't only a hero when it comes to mixing, he's also a good friend and that's what we're all about: 'having fun with our friends!"

6. Where are you recording the album?

Vincent; We're recording this album in DIY-style: in the attic!

7. What label will be releasing the album?

Sven:At this moment, we're still recording the album. We're going to contact some labels as soon as we have our final songs. We'll have to wait and see. If we find a good fit we'll go for it, if not... DIY-style! haha

8. What are your songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?)

Maxim: Different Stories is a band that exists out of friends; We want to enjoy life and we do this by writing about the things we feel.

Vincent: Yeah, We don't wan't to be preaching a message, because that's too pretentious for five lads with no clue of how the world works. Actually, we just wrote some songs about what we think we could do better in the world, we also wrote some about life. The fact that you can't controll what happens to you and we even wrote a love song!

9. Do you write your own songs? (Discuss the songwriting process in detail.)

Vincent: Offcourse! This is how a songwriting-session looks like: Max comes up with the ideas and we just work them out as a band from there on.

Vonny: To be realy honnest; Maxim is the musical genius of the band and we're just his slaves! (Laughs) No, the genius part is absolute truth, but we all do our part!

10. Did the band have any definitive goals they were shooting for before the recording process began for this album?

Sven: “Involve as much friends as we can and have fun!”

11. Are you using any new instrumentation you've never used in the recording process before?

Maxim: It's our debut album, so we haven't got much 'recording expierence' yet. We're trying some new things on the vocals, but apart from that .. no, not that much.

12. When did you start writing for this album?

Maxim: We started to write our first song in the beginning of January 2011. We finished the last one in February of this year. As you can see: it 's been a long journey, but that's good. You don't want to rush into your first record. Taking your time and feeling it out is good!

13. Can you go into one or two tracks on the new album? If so, can you give us the track title and brief description of how the track sounds and how it came about?

Vincent: The two most interesting songs of “Incoherent Consistency” imo are “Distance” and “A Stoic Can't lose”.

As mentioned before; we want to involve as much friends as possible to help us create our album. Nabil, the frontman of “Now, Voyager”, helped us out with “Distance”. This is the love song that we mentioned before.

It's the only track from the demo that survived it all the way to the record. It's a melodic hardcore track with not that many of our new more djenty/metalcore influences. This song has got the 'heartbreak factor' of 10 out of 10 because of Nabil's angelic voice.

The second song, “A Stoic Can't lose”, is a song about being afraid of the future and dealing with that fear. It's the track that has had the most impact on our writing skills. We're very confident about this one so we're pre-releasing it on April the 13th. Our dear friend Bjorn from Poison My Blood will be thowing some of his grunts in there to spice it up!

13. How is the vibe in the studio?

Sven: Party vibe all the way! We're happy about this record and that reflects on our mood!

14. When can we expect the new album to be released?

Vincent: We're aiming to release it this summer! We think it'll be out in July!

15. Will you be touring this album? Is there a chance you will be doing a short tour before the album is released?

Max: We're still in the recording-process of the album, so we're not 100% focussed on “CD campaign” yet. We're aiming to do a small promo tour throughout the BENELUX and we're thinking about one through Europe. Nothing to big, just getting out there to get the word out and have some fun, meeting new people, playing music, living the dream!

16. How do you promote your band and shows?

Vonny: Mainly by Social Networking and playing shows! It's the most effective way!

Maxim: Yeah, Facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/differentstories ) and Twitter ( https://twitter.com/#!/DStories ) help the most!

17. Describe your show, visual and musically.

Sven: You could say it's a weird combination of joy and anger! Because our frontman, Vincent, tends to get really worked up and furious on stage, but inbetween songs he's joking around, making faces and clearly having fun. The rest of us kind of go with the vibe of the crowd. If there's a party going on we'll party with them, but if we need to prove ourselves and MAKE them throw a moshpit, we will get on it! That's the Different Stories way!

18. What inspires you to do what you do?

Vincent: We get that question alot. From our friends, teachers even our parents, but we never really had a good answer. What is it that thrives us to go on stage, or in the studio for that matter? What makes us wanna put so much money into a dream? We don't know.. We really don't. It's just one of those things you have to do.

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for the feature adaptation of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages. The film tells the story of a small town girl (Julianne Hough) who falls in love with a larger-than-life rocker (Tom Cruise) set against the backdrop of the 1980s music scene, featuring songs from the likes of Journey, Foreigner, Styx, and REO Speedwagon. The gist of the trailer is that if you like 80s rock, you’ll probably like a musical that only features 80s rock and uses it as a basis for the plot. But there’s also an important lesson: When sleazy guy played by Paul Giamatti give you a chance at fame, you take him up on his obviously legit offer. The film also stars Diego Boneta, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Malin Akerman, Bryan Cranston, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Mary J. Blige. Directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray), Rock of Ages opens on June 1, 2012. Check out the trailer below!

Chiodos have released a statement regarding the recent line-up changes. The nessage from the band:

"Hey everybody. Long time no update, we know. We figure it is about time for one after seeing the news today, that you’ve likely seen by now also. Unfortunately, Tanner and Brandon have decided to leave the band. We have been at a stagnant state for the last six months, so the fact that they are ambitious to move on with their lives is totally justified and understandable. We’ve had some killer experiences with them and were able to write one of our proudest albums with them in the hardest of times as a band. We ask for all of our fans continued respect and support towards them and us in our future endeavors. We must all keep looking forward…….."

Sun & Flesh are up and coming rockstars just waiting for their time of day and with the release of their self-titled EP debut they are getting off to a groovy start.

Their musically talented and have an edge going with the minor screamy tatics used in its array of music that really strikes an interest to the listener. Instrumentally the guitars, bass, and drums all work together in a pattern sense making sure all of the music being portrayed is used properly and working all at once. Whereas the vocals have a constant source of rhythm that doesn't want to quit which makes the music that more interesting.

Sun & Flesh have got something going and they aren't going to stop until they have reached the almighty top!

SMILE EMPTY SOUL have revealed the album cover and track list from their upcoming release "3's" due out May 22nd. "I think we put more thought into this album cover than ever before. There's a ton of symbolism going on, and the whole package this time really means a lot to us," says guitarst and lead singer Sean Danielson.

This spring SMILE EMPTY SOUL will hit the road in support of their brand new release, presented by Jägermeister. Jägermeister, the #1 selling imported liqueur in the United States, has a long history of supporting bands, both from a local level to national amphitheater acts. The brand has spent almost two decades developing artists and has seen many go from obscurity to the top of their fields. “We’re thrilled to be working with SMILE EMPTY SOUL again, a band that appreciates our brand and knows how to enjoy it! They've grown as a band and Jager’s been with them from the beginning,” says Rick Zeiler, Director of Strategic Marketing at Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc.

Danielsen continues, "'3's' is the best record we've made. It's more musical and mature, yet still has the 'Smile' sound that our fans are looking for."

"3's" was recorded in the band's native Southern California, at a handful of studios in the Valley and North Hollywood. Producer Eddie Wohl, who worked with the band on "Consciousness", also manned the board on the new album at his Babyland Studios. Brian Lew, coauthor of MURDER IN THE FRONT ROW: Shots From the Bay Area Thrash Metal Epicenter (Bazillion Points Books) has posted a previously unpublished 1983 interview with Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman of SLAYER. The interview, typed by Kerry King, was originally intended for the second issue of Lew's pioneering Whiplash fanzine, and covers a time period prior to the release of SLAYER's 1984 debut album, Show No Mercy. You can check out the interview for yourself HERE.

Among the subjects covered are SLAYER's early history, band influences, the Los Angeles heavy metal scene, and writing songs "as heavy and evil as possible."

Kerry King on the Slayer's influences: "I think it's kind of obvious that we like Venom and Metallica. I also think [Mercyful] Fate's new album has some of the hottest riffs ever written."

Jeff Hanneman on the Los Angeles heavy metal scene: "L.A. has got to be the poser capital of the world. Around here Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, and Ratt are the heaviest in the world. So if that's heavy we must be molten steel."

MURDER IN THE FRONT ROW, by Harald Oimoen and Brian Lew, is a stunning collection over 400 color and black-and-white photos of the birth of thrash metal in San Francisco, capturing historic moments including the earliest shows by Slayer, Metallica, and Megadeth, and events such as the first night Slayer met the young members of Metallica. The book also includes passionate personal accounts by Bay Area veterans Harald Oimoen, Brian Lew, Ron Quintana of Metal Mania, Gary Holt of Exodus, Alex Skolnick of Testament, and Robb Flynn of Vio-lence/Machine Head. From DIY origins to world domination, the Bay Area thrash metal scene screams to life in these fearless pages. Find out more info HERE.

CATTLE DECAPITATION reveal the first of three in-studio video segments from their Monolith Of Inhumanity recording sessions. Set for North American release on May 8, 2012, the record was produced by Dave Otero of Denver's Flatline Audio and sees the band exploring innovative new techniques in song writing without abandoning their signature formula of confrontational audio wreckage and self-loathing lyrical content.

Check out Dave McGraw’s drum demolition and behind-the-scenes studio footage as well as first single “A Living, Breathing Piece Of Defecating Meat,” HERE.

Monolith Of Inhumanity is an achievement that stands out as one of the most volatile, ambitious, and impossible to aptly categorize records you will hear in 2012. Dragging their ever-evolving deathgrind sound kicking and screaming into the epic territory inhabited by the likes of Dimmu Borgir and Anaal Nathrakh, the quartet redefine all perceptions of what CATTLE DECAPITATION is. With their seventh full-length, the band have never sounded more focused, aggressive, or manically determined to get in the faces of those who erroneously believe they’ve already experienced the band at their extreme best.

The 11-track Monolith Of Inhumanity features a host of guests including Mike Majewski of Devourment (guest vocals on "Projectile Ovulation"), Lenard Leal of Cephalic Carnage (backing vocals by on "A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat"), The Cephalic Carnage Community Men's Choir, consisting of all current Cephalic members and alumni Jawsh Mullen and Zac Joe (gang choir vocals on "The Carbon Stampede"), and ambient and noise interludes by Los Angeles' most extreme decimator of sound, John Wiese, as well as another strikingly brutal cover by Wes Benscoter.

In addition, CATTLE DECAPITATION collaborated with famed pop culture artist Tom Bunk, best known for his work for the 1980s Garbage Pail Kids trading cards and MAD Magazine, for a very special art project. Bunk was gracious enough to create individual pieces of art for each member of the band, heavily influenced by and practically just as they appeared in the Garbage Pail Kids series of the ‘80s! A GPK-inspired CATTLE DECAPITATION trading card set and T-shirts are included with special limited pre-order packages and collector’s bundles HERE.

CATTLE DECAPITATION recently returned from the successful Reborn of Death European Tour with Suffocation, Blood Red Throne, Cerebral Bore, Adimiron, Sadist and Ulvedharr and will take a short break before heading out on the Occupation Domination 2012 with Origin, Decrepit Birth, Aborted, Rings Of Saturn, Battlecross and more!

FEAR FACTORY today reveals cover and package details for their forthcoming new album, The
Industrialist. Set for North American release on June 5, The Industrialist is a conceptual record based around a story written by vocalist Burton C. Bell. Lyrics to the album’s ten songs divulge the narrative as discussed recently by Bell with Decibel Magazine. The album’s artwork was created by American designer Anthony Clarkson with additional direction from the band. The album will be available on three formats – standard CD, a limited edition deluxe digi-book (featuring two additional songs), and 180-gram double vinyl.

Bell notes, “the protagonist (The Industrialist) is the incarnation of all industries in the form of an automaton. The mechanical, technological, and scientific advances through the industrial age led to the creation of The Industrialist. In the story, the automaton becomes sentient as it collects memories with each passing day. Through observation and learning, it gains the will to exist. What was meant to help man, will eventually be man’s demise.”

The Industrialist again pairs FEAR FACTORY with producer Rhys Fulber. Mixed by Greg Reely (Paradise Lost/Skinny Puppy), with additional tracking by Logan Mader (Gojira/Divine Heresy), the album is the second written by Bell and guitarist Dino Cazares since reuniting in 2009 after a seven year split. Cazares says, “collaborating with Burton again on the new album was like magic. Everything just fell into place naturally. It felt good to recapture the true sound of FEAR FACTORY, taking it back to where it all started while raising it to new levels.” Regarding Fulber Cazares notes, “Rhys has been our secret member,” shares Cazares. “He is the one producer who has been able to understand what we have been trying to accomplish from the beginning and has opened our eyes to new things without sacrificing our original sound. His production and keyboard talents has made FEAR FACTORY stand out amongst the many bands of our genre.”

The Industrialist follows the 2010 release of Mechanize. Widely regarded, the album was the first release from FEAR FACTORY in six years. Mechanize debuted on Billboard’s Top 100 album chart week of release and topped CMJ’s Loud Rock radio chart as programmers embraced the band’s triumphant return. Sirus XM and Headbangers Ball’s host Jose Mangin noted, “after Mechanize dominated 2010 as Liquid Metal’s Album Of The Year, North America is chompin’ at the bit to get an ear full of new FEAR FACTORY. I have no doubt that FEAR FACTORY are going to kick our collective asses in 2012.”

Job For A Cowboy's bassist Nick Schendzielos spoke to me about the band's upcoming third full-length release "Demonocracy" and the different approach it’s taken since the lineup change and what else we can expect from these guys in the upcoming tours, DVD release, and so much more!

1. For the people who aren't familiar with Job For A Cowboy what would you say to get people interested?

Nick: I would say that if you’re into extreme technical heavy metal give us a listen. In particular this new record is pretty involved record as far as techno death metal goes lots of stuff to keep coming back to again and again. It’s definitely one of those records where you can’t take it in all at once you have to listen to it more than once for it to all sink in.

2. How does it feel to have recorded and about to release your third album?

Nick: It feels good I’ve been in the band for a year now so I’m fairly new so this album is more involved and represents what and who the band is now and personally it’s my best bass work I’ve done on a metal release so I’m really excited for people to hear it and hear what they have to say about it.

3. What are your songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?)

Nick: Yeah it’s a very political themed record lyrically especially, because you look at the fate of the world of today and it’s not the perfect world ya know? I feel like it’s a responsibility to have and for us being such a big band as we are and able to reach out to the people and get our big foot print involved it’s like our responsibility to get the message out there. Jonny’s history of the band and political involvement and reality of the world we live in really goes onto this release. It’s a grim picture with the level of controls and implement and the ties into government and our fate of freedom so it’s a very political themed record and injustices that exist today. Yeah it is pretty cool because you get to read the lyrics to the song and listen to it too so it gets the image out there. It’s not just the music it’s about the world in it too.

4. How would you describe the overall sound of the new album? How does it compare to Ruination?

Nick: I would say this record overall sound is a lot more aggressive, a lot faster, a lot heavier, and more musically advanced than the previous records.

5. Did the band have any definitive goals they were shooting for before the recording process began for this album?

Nick: I think everybody in the band wonder what was going to happen with the sound since with the lineup changes and having myself and Tony being new to the band we wanted to be more technical and be able to show our playing abilities and overall just show people that there’s a different change as far as playing and an upgrade to showcase.

6. When did you start writing for this album? How was the songwriting process different/similar to previous Job for a Cowboy albums?

Nick: They started writing for this when everybody went home after the tour with Between The Buried and Me and the Gloom release, Tony and Al are closer to each other in Massachusetts so they created the back bone of all the songs and the initial efforts of the songs and made those on MP3 and handled it all out on GuitarPro and send them to each other and tell each other what we thought so then we went into the studio laid down the drum tracks and then guitar, lead, rhythm and vocals. So it was written differently than traditional styled since every one of us lives in different places.
7. What advice would you give to bands that are just starting out?

Nick: I would say probably first and foremost get your technical stuff handled first and everything else will fall into place as you go. Be able to play your instruments first in front of people and have that DIY attitude and have reliable transportation, trailer, gear someone that can handle accounting and all that stuff. Just people who are able to commit and baking soda I would stock up on a lot of baking soda.

8. How would you rate your and the band’s performance ability overall?

Nick: Personally well it’s weird to put yourself on a personal performance level because I’ve never done anything as a solo artist, but I did come from a band called Cephalic Carnage and learned a lot from those guys and how to put on a show. Putting on a show and fooling around and getting into it you can’t just sit there and it may work for some bands but you need to feel the energy. You just need to be able to put on a good show and get the crowd entertained.

9. How would you describe a Job for a Cowboy show?

Nick: I would say aggressive, very loud, and centric and I think the reason people like this music is because it’s an expression and a release. It’s just fun to crack up bands like Metallica and Pantera we’re hoping to get out that emotional level and releasing people.

10. What type of headbanging do you and the guys prefer to do?

Nick: That’s an interesting thing I never had long hair before so I’ve wanted to have it so I could headbang with less the effort. I had someone tell me that you need to get more of your body involved than just your head and neck and get your upper body moving because you can mess up your neck. Who knows what’s going to happen to all of these headbangers out there, from a crowd perspective I like the crazier the better.

11. How many band t-shirts are in your personal collection?

Nick: That’s a really funny question no one has ever asked me that before I probably have about 300 to 400 black t-shirts from bands. Whenever you tour with someone you always get a shirt you like if not a few. It can add up pretty quick with all of the touring happening.

12. Is there anything else we can expect to see from you guys?

Nick: Definitely touring, got a video coming out off the new record, and get a DVD put together or a behind the scenes type of stuff because we’re a goofy band when out on tour and we want to show that side of us and see what our personality type is getting who we are out there.

Having discovering a band like Modern Day Escape wasn't that hard and since I re-listened to their 2009 debut “House of Rats” countless times I knew I’d be sucked into their society soon enough and it was from 2010 onward that I was a member of the Modern Day Escape community.

Since then the band has toured relentlessly with various acts as Black Veil Brides and Wednesday 13 just getting their name out into the open really exposing and promoting who they are and where they were from and everything in between of course. With this they went on to begin writing and recording for their follow-up release entitled “Under the Gun” with two brand spanking new members guitarist Mark Burns and percussionist Sandra Alva formerly of Black Veil Brides.

So out with the old and in with the new totally new it seems since discussion of an all new album was in the works fans were in total anticipation for it especially having Sandra taking the percussion role this time around there was going to be high hopes and it all began with the releases of the title track and fan devoted track "The Syndicate", these alone really expose who Modern Day Escape is as of right now and where they will forever be.

Other mentionable tracks that really expand the band’s musical abilities and skill set has to include "Angels Up Above", and “Voiceless”, a selective set of ballad tunes that preserve the hard rock tone just a tad. "Feeds On The Darkside", "Playing Victim", and "Demons Down Below", on the other hand construct the band’s maturity as musicians and leave us in wonder as to what will happen next.

If may not be as edgy as “House of Rats” was but that was then and “Under The Gun” is right here and right now.

From the macabre tomb of Bay Area death metal pioneer, Autopsy, comes an unrivaled insight into its world of gore and horror in the form of a new DVD, Born Undead, due out on June 5th in North America on Peaceville Records. Born Undead charters the birth, death and rebirth of the legendary act, with an extensive documentary conducted with the band members themselves, as they describe how the beast came to be, and the impact their music has had on the metal world over a span of more than 20 years.

The film also documents the band’s long-awaited return to the studio and stage, and includes rehearsals of both new tracks and old classics for Autopsy’s live comeback assault. The trio of 2010 reunion shows are all featured, with all the best classic tracks from Maryland Deathfest, PartySan festival and also Hole in the Sky in Norway, where Chris Reifert, Eric Cutler, and Danny Coralles were joined by Dan Lilker on bass.

With hours of footage, as well as extras including the band’s promo video for “All Tomorrow’s Funerals,” “My Corpse Shall Rise” and more, Born Undead is the ultimate set for all Autopsy and metal maniacs alike.

The DVD also contains artwork from Kent Mattieu, who had collaborated with the band on its early classic (and often controversial) album covers.

One of the early breed of US death metal acts, and most respected names in the genre, Autopsy formed in 1987 in San Francisco, and released four albums on Peaceville Records - beginning with the classic debut Severed Survival in 1989 - before disbanding in 1995 with members going on to form Abscess.

Autopsy triumphantly and officially returned from the grave after a 15-year hiatus with the 2010 EP, ‘The Tomb Within,’ delighting critics and fans alike. The band then released its fifth full length, and first since 1995, Macabre Eternal, in 2011. Stay tuned for more info on Autopsy and Born Undead.

EMMURE has just release their new music video “Protoman” produced by Frank Nasso. This single is off their soon to be released album (4/10/12), Slave To The Game, found in most major retailer.

This video features the band rocking out in an 80’s throwback arcade, as a tribute to their youth and gamer lifestyle. Emmure's energetic breakdown-oriented sound encompasses many various metal influences. This video is sure to give the viewer a glimpse into Emmure’s colorful performance. See below for a screen shot of the video. Check it out below.

DYING FETUS have confirmed a June 17th release date for their new album entitled Reign Supreme. The album will feature nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know. The album artwork for Reign Supreme has been revealed and can be viewed on the latest official album teaser for Reign Supreme HERE. The teaser also contains the first samples of new music from the album.
