Legendary American heavy metal band SANCTUARY is proud to announce their official signing to BLKIIBLK. To celebrate, the band returns with a powerful new chapter in their storied career: the brand-new single “Not Of The Living.” A new lyric video comes along with the track and is available to view below.

On the signing to BLKIIBLK, SANCTUARY founder Lenny Rutledge comments:

"Not Of The Living" marks SANCTUARY’s first new material since the passing of original vocalist Warrel Dane and stands as a bold statement of rebirth as they celebrate 40 years of uncompromising heavy metal.

Mike Gitter, Global Head of A&R for Frontiers Label Group and BLKIIBLK Label Head, exclaims:

“We’re excited to be working with SANCTUARY. Already a legendary band, in 2026, they’re building upon that legend and taking it one step further. When [European head of A&R] Aldo Lonobile and I heard the songs, they had begun recording for their first full-length since their last full-length ‘The Year The Sun Died’ [2014], it was clear, SANCTUARY were back making some of the most vital music of their career.

"Vocalist Joseph Michael (Witherfall) has stepped in for the late Warrell Dane (Nevermore) and carried the ball magnificently. Lenny Rutledge (SANCTUARY founding guitarist) is not only taking SANCTUARY’s legacy forward, but it already feels like he’s intent on exceeding it."

Produced and mixed by acclaimed producer Zeuss (Queensrÿche, Metal Church, Rob Zombie, and Witherfall), “Not Of The Living” captures SANCTUARY’s classic blend of dramatic songwriting, soaring melodies, and crushing riffs while delivering a modern sonic impact. The track also features a blistering guest guitar solo by Jake Dreyer (Witherfall, Demons & Wizards, Iced Earth).

Las Vegas band Violent New Breed brings us a fresh new take on the metal genre. Their relentless dedication coupled with just refusing to give up, is what fuels VNB to leave their mark. In 2019 Violent New Breed was formed by Max Green (best known as the co-founder/bassist of Escape the Fate). Following the release of the bands aptly titled debut album, Bad Reputation (SBG Records) VNB was set to tour - then, the pandemic struck putting an end to those tour plans and ultimately the old line-up. 

During the process, Green recruited Garrett Lowery (Lead Guitar) and Nicholas Ray (Drums) and got to writing new music. The trio quickly caught the eyes and ears of Bobby Schubenski (Owner of Blackcraft Cult Clothing) and Danny Wimmer (Danny Wimmer Presents). This immediately led them to be guests on the highly successful “That Space Zebra Show” hosted by Bobby Schubenski on Twitch, as well as their own mini series called “The Vocalist” where open auditions were held to find the band a new singer. After a grueling competition, tons of submissions, and the help of an all too impressive audience of over 100k+ viewers, the band finally found their singer, Albert Schweizer.

Max Green explains, "'Sanctuary' is the song that defines the true birth of Violent New Breed. Up until now we felt like we were writing demos without a true identity. 'Sanctuary' is a defining moment for the future of VNB.

Cleveland based six-piece blues and gospel influenced alternative band, Welshly Arms’ highly anticipated debut album, "No Place Is Home", is set for release on June 8th. Pre-order the album HERE.

The band’s new track, "Sanctuary," taken from "No Place Is Home", has premiered on Baeble. "Sanctuary" was co-produced by Jayson DeZuzio (Imagine Dragons’ "Thunder"). Baeble hails the track as "one of the most soulful anthems of the decade."

Of "Sanctuary," frontman Sam Getz says, "We wrote "Sanctuary" in a time where everything on the news and in politics seemed so dark and out of control. Nothing felt safe, nowhere felt like home and there wasn’t a lot of positive news to find hope in. "Sanctuary" is a reminder that hope is always there in the people you keep close. Even as the world seems to be breaking down around us, my family, friends and the people I love are where I always find my security and my home."

Following the unfortunate loss of one of metal's most revered vocalists, Warrel Dane (Sanctuary, Nevermore), prior to Sanctuary's upcoming dates supporting Iced Earth across North America, the band has announced the tour will go forth as planned. The shows will act as a farewell tour in tribute to the life and memory of Dane with guest vocals for Sanctuary to be performed by Joseph Michael (Witherfall). 

Sanctuary guitarist Lenny Rutledge comments: "Sanctuary has decided to continue on with the Iced Earth tour to pay tribute to our brother Warrel Dane. We have enlisted the help of our friend Joseph Michael from Witherfall. The set will consist of many old and some newer songs performed with the utmost respect and quality to honor our friend. Please join us in this farewell as we celebrate Warrel's musical legacy with Sanctuary. We look forward to sharing this tribute with all of you."

Metal giants ICED EARTH are excited to reveal plans to bring their "pure and absolutely incorruptible heavy metal" (Rock Hard Italy) to fans across North America as they announce details on their "Incorruptible" World Tour in 2018.

Founding member and songwriter Jon Schaffer reveals: "Brothers and sisters! We are very aware at how impatient you have been getting about our North American tour announcement, but the time has arrived!! We will be seeing you soon in a very extensive USA/Canada run.  Be there, it will be an awesome time for sure!"

The band, consisting of Schaffer, drummer Brent Smedley, vocalist Stu Block,
bassist Luke Appleton, and new guitarist Jake Dreyer, will venture across the U.S. and Canada from February 22 through March 29 with featured support from Sanctuary and Kill Ritual. Dates are as follows:

Inertia is showing off their skills in their new Kingdom Hearts 2 themed video, “Sanctuary.” The cover video features lead vocalist Dillon Forst playing an array of instruments to create an innovative alternative rock version of the track, originally heard as the theme of Kingdom Hearts 2. Although an original Japanese track, Inertia proves that inspiration and musical talent can transform any track, as Forst used his personal love for the Kingdom Hearts franchise to rearrange “Sanctuary” to fit Inertia’s genre and style. About the cover, lead vocalist Dillon Forst states:

“I wanted a chance to showcase my ability to play all the rock instruments and do a great job covering one of the songs from a franchise that changed my life. Disney, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts helped shape me as a person and a musician growing up. This song will be part of our deluxe album release of our debut album "The Process.” The music was originally written by Utada Hikaru, but I re-imagined it with alternative rock, Inertia and male vocal perspective in mind. I hope this does justice to the Disney, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts Franchises.”
