~ THE AMONKLOK CONQUEST TOUR co-headline with Dethklok. Special guests Castle Rat

DETHKLOK returns to American stages with the Mutilation on a Spring Night tour, featuring special guests DragonForce and Nekrogoblikon, and can now reveal a special two-night event with BABYMETAL. The BABYKLOK Tour resumes for two nights only at The Masonic in San Francisco. BABYMETAL and DETHKLOK coheadline, with support from DragonForce on April 24 and Nekrogoblikon on April 25.

DETHKLOK is an illustrated/animated virtual powerhouse, occupying an elite space alongside Gorillaz. Except DETHKLOK is bigger, better, more brutal, and totally legendary.

Last year’s BABYKLOK co-headlining trek was the first DETHKLOK tour in over a decade.

“I had no idea how much fun the BABYKLOK tour would be,” remembers DETHKLOK mastermind and Metalocalypse co-creator Brendon Small. “The BABYMETAL girls are delightful, like three princesses from outer space, great singers, and great dancers. Their band is bonkers good. Being on tour with BABYMETAL was a dream come true. I fell in love with the girls, the band, and their whole crew, and they threw down every night. An amazing group – lightning in a bottle. I’m so excited to share the stage with them, catch up, and hang out. I’m so glad this came together so we can reunite with our great pals.”

DETHKLOK, the world’s most brutal band are the stars of the Metalocalypse TV series and films. Revolver Magazine calls writer, director, and composer Brendon Small the “musical mastermind” behind DETHKLOK. A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Small has made four DETHKLOK albums and assorted releases with legendary metal drummer Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel, Death, Testament, Strapping Young Lad).

2023 saw a flurry of activity from the melodic death metal titans. Army of the Doomstar was a sequel to Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem, released in 2013. 2023 also saw the release of the Army of the Doomstar Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Dethalbum IV was the most celebrated album of the band’s career, boasting unstoppable anthems like “Aortic Desecration,” “SOS,” and “Gardener of Vengeance.”

Rolling Stone named Dethalbum IV one of the 11 Best Metal Albums of 2023. “The first DETHKLOK album in more than a decade is totally brutal – and totally worth the wait,” Rolling Stone declared. “Small and Hoglan’s dexterous playing also make the music stand majestically on its own terms. You don’t need to be in on the joke to jump into the pit and mosh along.”

Adult Swim aired four seasons of Metalocalypse from 2006 to 2013. Premiere global and media entertainment company Warner Bros. Discovery distributes the Metalocalypse series and feature films.

“This is a very fun time with the tour, the album, and the movie. I don’t know if DETHKLOK will be touring forever,” he adds. “So, it’s important for people to know they should get it while it’s hot.”

*BABYKLOK w/ BABYMETAL, DragonForce (April 24), Nekrogoblikon (April 25)

BabyMetal out of Japan, have become more popular than ever, since the release of their single “Gimme Chocolate”. Over which, they have gone on to play in the U.S. several times over, including a show where one performance was filmed for a DVD. But since then, they have returned to the U.S. to play alongside Dethklok, a fictional death metal band, based off an animated cartoon series Metalocalypse, which aired on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. These two would come together for a co-headlining tour, each rotating throughout the cycle, on whom would get to close each night.

For night one out of the two nights at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, CA it would be Dethklok closing out, with BabyMetal opening, having arrived just in time, to catch BabyMetal, their set was an hour long in length, performing an extensive amount of tracks from earlier workings to later down to current day as well. Some of the tracks performed included such as; “BabyMetal Death”, “Gimme Chocolate”, “PA PA YA!!”, “METAL!!”, “Headbangeeeerrrr!!!!” and “Road of Resistance”.

BABYMETAL PHOTOS:

The trio of girls, did do a superb job of performing, dancing, singing, headbanging, getting the crowd that was sold out in fact, really into it, with the mosh pit opening up, to others banging their heads, singing along, shining their phone’s lights into the air, down to cheers galore. It was all around loads of fun, for all witnessing them. Having seen them three times thus far, this time was just as good as their previous acts. Even the whole crowd was into them really, a lot of which dressed up for the occasion as well. All in all BabyMetal is a Japanese act, whose time in the U.S. has gotten known far and wide, and they will continue to gain traction as they spread the metal cuteness that is themselves for all to hear and see.

BABYMETAL SETLIST:

1. BabyMetal Death
2. Gimme Chocolate!!
3. PA PA YA!!
4. Distortion
5. BxMxC
6. Believing
7. Monochrome

Next up would be headliners Dethklok who recently actually got back together, releasing a new album, as well as a movie. So they decided to go out on tour and that is what they provided here. They being an animated band, they themselves were shown on a screen with the band being shadowed in darkness, various clips from the series, to music videos, to the band themselves being heard during voice overs, interacting with the crowd of fans, kept everyone highly entertained and laughing it up. The band sounded quite good, with the animations rolling behind them, kept everyone cheering, shouting, and banging their heads throughout. Each of the songs were performed well, and included the likes of “Deththeme:, “Birthday Dethday”, “Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle”, “Murmaider”, “Thunderhorse”, and “Fansong”, among many others. A lot of which were short but sweet. Dethklok being an act to see live at least once, because you do get a kick out of what they can do and laugh it up as well.

DETHKLOK PHOTOS:

All in all, this co-headlining run between the two acts was a done deal, and made it out to be one for a sold out show, and one that many there could enjoy with ease. Both bands will continue to dominate the metal circuit for as many years see them fit to do it.

The new single, entitled "My Name Is Murder", is available via all streaming platforms today (Spotify | Google Play | Apple Music | Amazon).

Brendon Small says: "I wrote all the riffs for "My Name Is Murder" in one sitting, and it quickly became a favorite while we were making the record. Story-wise, this song is about a bad dude doing very bad things, and writing from the POV of a bad guy is very, very fun for me."

"My Name Is Murder" is available as an instant grat download when you pre-order via iTunes and Amazon. For years, fans have been clamoring for an official end to the story of Dethklok, the wildly popular animated heavy metal band at the center of pop culture mainstay and television show Metalocalypse. As announced via Marvel.com live at New York Comic-Con, Metalocalypse mastermind Brendon Small is championing a campaign to bring fans the official end to the Dethklok’s story. Presented by Rocksmith and dubbed Metalocalypse Now, the campaign is designed to combine the efforts of grassroots supporters, the heavy metal community, comedians, record labels, instrument brands and more, proving to HULU/Adult Swim that there is a massive audience who will watch this ending if they produce it.

The Metalocalypse Now campaign is officially supported by Razer, Metal Blade Records, MetalSucks, and Metal Injection.

Fans deserve to see how the Metalocalypse prophecy ends after nearly 10 years of the story's existence. Using social media, an online petition and more, Metalocalypse Now is the metal world's chance to demand their show's finale. Millions of viewers around the world are waiting patiently for an end to the series, and Metalocalypse Now is working to create the critical mass necessary to publicly prove that HULU is the perfect home for the series-closer.

Metalocalypse creator Brendon Small states, “Metalocalypse, to this day, has a ridiculously strong viewership. The show has become a part of the metal community and we want to give the fans an opportunity to demand what is rightfully theirs!”

World-famous musicians and heavy metal tastemakers such as Scott Ian, Joe Satriani, Devin Townsend and Brian Posehn have already publicly supported the campaign – and now you can too!

To reach critical mass, fans should spread the word all month long by:

- Tweeting at @hulu and @adultswim with #metalocalypsenow

- Signing the petition at www.MetalocalypseNow.com

- Don’t use social media? Send an envelope with guitar picks and a note enclosed that tells HULU that if they finish Metalocalypse, you’ll watch it!
