Avenger Of Blood is a thrash metal act from Las Vegas, Nevada who also got their start in 2001 and went on to releases two full-lengths "Complete Annihilation" (2005) and "Death Brigade" (2008) along with two demos, vinyl, and was featured in a complication album. After a few line-up changes and touring routes the band faded away not to be heard from again until NOW!

The band recently posted an assortment of updates via the band's Facebook page,

"Giving another update and this time its a decent size one for you! As we stated last week, we finally enter Constantine Studios to record some new songs on May 26th. We are titling this 3 song EP 'Spawn of Evil' and so far we are very happy with the songs! The songs we will be recording are titled "Spawn of Evil", "Aggressive Psychotic Behavior" and "Centuries of Hell"! We are also going to be recording a video. Not sure which song it will be for yet, but the band has never had an official video ever, so this is something we are excited about! We got our artork in the works for some shirts and a possible cover. We are getting shirts and a few merchandise items for sure but that will be sometime in mid-late June. The art is being done up by Mark Riddick of Riddickart who is an amazing artist known for his work with Gravehill, Coffins, Crucified Mortals, Cemetary Urn, Morbid Angel, and more! We have been talking about getting back out to play live and looking at booking our 1st show back with the new line-up towards the end of August. Nothing is set in stone yet, its just in the planning stages."

So expect new shows, a new line-up, and ALL NEW MUSIC coming soon!

Death/black metallers BELPHEGOR will enter Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida on May 29th. The band has tapped Erik Rutan to produce their new, as of yet untitled album, which will be released in the end of the year via Nuclear Blast records.

Guitarist/vocalist Helmuth Lehner commented: “Around 2006 I contacted Erik the first time, I guess. We talked about the producing of the Bondage Goat Zombie album, but he wasn’t available. This time, we had to do it! Our sound, attitude… or let’s say trademark, is a symbiosis of all extremities that came out of this glorious genre - Diabolical black death metal.

Since February 2012 we rehearse and wrote hard on nine shredding sound collages. To record chapter X with Erik is perfect, since he exactly knows what we need and how we get this shit done. The thing is the new compositions are full of intensity and pure aggression. The combination of European metal coldness, atmosphere and sickest elements - crossed with an American brutal sound, is the master plan. This experiment is going to be ultra-sick!

I dig to work with motivated, possessed and enthusiastic artists, to keep the fire burning, in all related things (producers, musicians, etc.) No rules, all is permitted. This is the main reason why Belphegor survived almost 20 years.”

Producer Erik Rutan further commented: “I am very excited to be recording and mixing the new Belphegor album at Mana. After many discussions with Helmuth and hearing some clips of new material, I know that the band is very focused and determined on making a harmoniously evil extreme masterpiece. We shall make one beast of an album that the fans have come to expect from Belphegor!”

OH’s Miss May I will enter The Machine Shop studios starting in early January to begin work on their 3rd release for Rise Records, which is tentatively scheduled to drop in spring 2012. The LP will be produced by Machine (Chiodos, Every Time I Die, Lamb Of God, Four Year Strong) and according to bassist/clean vocalist Ryan Neff, will be the band’s “most metal and dynamic release thus far.”

Miss May I has been writing songs since the spring of 2011 and began pre-production with Chris Rubey of The Devil Wears Prada during the summer while out on the Vans Warped Tour. The forthcoming release will serve as the follow-up to the band’s breakthrough sophomore effort, Monument, which debuted at #76 on the Billboard Top 200. With combined sales of nearly 100,000 units over the course of their burgeoning career and a highly buzzed about stint on Warped Tour 2011, Miss May I is currently canvassing the country on their nearly sold-out No Guts, No Glory tour.

The band has also been confirmed as direct support on Whitechapel’s Recorrupter U.S. Tour and will join the lineup on Parkway Drive’s UK/European Tour, both of which kick off this Spring. As they prepare to start work on their biggest and heaviest release yet, 2012 is already shaping up to be another monumental year for Miss May I.

John Gallagher, guitarist and vocalist of DYING FETUS, has announced that the group has entered the studio to record their new full length album. The band will once again be working with longtime producer Steve Wright (Slipknot, Misery Index) at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore, MD.

Set to be released in mid 2012 through Relapse Records, the album will feature nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know. An official release date and album title will be announced shortly.

"The last album had some groove in it," stated John, "but [it] was basically a lot of tech; this one is a return to form of older DYING FETUS albums, so to speak- more modern production though, of course." "Everything's tight," John adds; "...the sound is crushing, the drums are amazing".

Additionally, DYING FETUS have announced a series of special South American shows set to take place in mid-January. The band has also been confirmed for next year's prestigious Maryland Deathfest and France's Hellfest. DYING FETUS plan to tour extensively in support of their new album and will be announcing more dates shortly.
