Attack Attack! are breaking up following their "Back In Action Tour."

"Well everyone, it's been a wild ride for Attack Attack, but I think it's about time Whiting and I take some time to write this note. We want to start by thanking every single one of you that has ever come out to a show, bought a shirt, gotten in a fight over crabcore, or spent the time to send us notes online. We have been insanely blessed to be able to do what we have done with AA and we think it's time that we wrap up this chapter in our lives. Yes, this means exactly what you think it means. The Back in Action Tour will be Attack Attack's final and most ironic tour. After 6 long years of playing in garages, VFW halls, clubs, open air festivals, and everything in-between. We've decided it is time to lay AA down for good. You are all beautiful, wonderful people, and we want you to know that we deeply appreciate everything you have done for us. We are sad to lay Attack Attack to rest, but are very excited for what is next in this new chapter of our lives."

St. Louis, Missouri, melodic metalcore outfit, TEAR OUT THE HEART have released a lyric video for the track “Undead Anthem”, featuring Caleb Shomo (ex- Attack Attack!) from their forthcoming album "Violence". “The song is about making an impact and proving to those around you your self-worth”, comments vocalist Tyler Konersman. Check out the video below!

Attack Attack has announced they have parted ways with their vocalist Caleb Shomo and have replaced him with I Am Abomination's Phil Druyor. The band will begin recording their new album in January. Check out a post from Phil below!

"Dear friends,

If you are reading this, you are more than likely seeking confirmation that I am the new vocalist for Attack Attack! This is true. After Caleb and AJ decided that they would no longer continue on with the band, I was asked if I would like to join and make a new record with them. I said yes to both. The decision was very easy to make due to the fact that we've been friends for almost the entire duration of both our band’s careers.

To be clear, this does not mean that I Am Abomination is over. At all. I will be fulfilling my roll in each band simultaneously, and since I Am Abomination doesn't tour much (or at all), it really won’t change much about us. The biggest difference is that we won’t be in the same room while working on the early stages of each record.

This part is my favorite. Starting on January 5th, I will be making a new record with Attack Attack! Over the last few years, my best friend/guitarist/vocal coach/life coach has become one of the most amazing producers in the industry right now, and I am proud to say that Nick Sampson will be producing the new Attack Attack! record. The direction of the new album is definitely a bit of a change up, but I feel that the band has made a name for themselves inside of their genre by being the band to change the game first. We plan to do that again.

And in closing, thank you to every single person who has ever supported me in all that I do. I appreciate it more than you could ever know. However, I am not asking for your approval. I do not need you to sign off on the matter. This is not an application. I wouldn't have accepted the offer if I didn't think that I could make respectable music with them. I am simply informing you that the world is going to be taken over in 2013, and I’m inviting you all along for the ride. I would enjoy your company.

P.S. There will be a new Attack Attack! song posted TOMORROW!

-Phil"

Change can be good or bad but in the music or entertainment industry's it can instantly go viral and in the music scene Ohio's Attack Attack! have been shot down. "This Means War" is their newest release and whilst their previous material consisted of that pop eletro rhythm and beat that is no more on this release for several reasons.

One is the fact that the group has gone through several vocalists having their third Caleb Shomo taking over until the next replacement comes into play if any. Next you'll notice a more in-depth and heavier tone used throughout the album the use of constant screamo melodies and guitar driven riffs wih breakdowns occuring left and right this release is indeed tighter but the danceable grooves that once were known for won't be having the fans dancing on their feet as much as they'd hope for. As such, having used the word "the" in all 10 tracks isn't flatteringly if I say so myself it's actually annoying.

Attack Attack!'s latest is a step forward but they shouldn't have taken it two steps back before ever even thinking of releasing an album such as this.

Columbus, OH’s Attack Attack! has revealed the album title, cover art and release date for the band’s long awaited new release on Rise Records. This Means War will be available everywhere on January 17, 2012. A headline tour kicks off January 26th in Columbus . The trek, dubbed the This Means War Tour, will be presented by www.Merchnow.com and feature support from The Ghost Inside, Sleeping With Sirens, Chunk! No Captain Chunk! and Dream On Dreamer.
