June 2017

A passionate and thoughtful singer/songwriter, Matt Koelsch ['kel-sh’] has built his musical career around stirring lyrics, percolating rhythms, and soaring vocals. His songs strike a chord with listeners as he draws inspiration from the gains, losses and adventures throughout his life growing up in New England.

During the height of the recession Koelsch took a leap of faith from his anchored position in the world of finance into the unknown, turbulent music industry and has been pursuing his passion as a full-time recording and performing artist in Los Angeles, California. Koelsch reflects on a particular moment during this transfroming period, “I walked out of the doors of the financial building in Post Office square, I had this feeling of an enormous sense of relief, freedom and uncertainty”.

Koelsch’s latest EP, entitled ‘Thinking of You’ was co-produced with Eugene Toale (Kanye West, Las Cafeteras). The EP was influenced by time and place, the result of being 3,000 miles away from home and the rollercoaster lifestyle of being submersed within the vibrant and diverse city of Los Angeles. "Being in this setting during my late 20’s early 30’s has affected my writing because it has made me more vulnerable” reveals Koelsch. "There is more time and space to explore and discover when you are in a completely new and foreign setting, removed from the comforts of your close network of relationships”.

With a wide-ranging catalog of subject matter including but not limited to the current state of ‘Wall Street’ to a relaxing day in the ‘Waves’ at the beach, ‘Running With The Bulls’ in Pamplona and heartbreak, Koelsch delivers passionate performances filled with falsetto, guitar and whistle solos as he brings his own flavor to the indie/folk/pop genre.

Leading single Perfectly Aligned showcases Koelsch’s catchy vocals and upbeat, dance-worthy melodies, it creates the perfect summer anthem. Thinking of You is a heart-achingly romantic ballad, with yearning lyrics, simple guitar melodies and soothing rhythms, Koelsch delivers a sweet tune that is relatable for all the romantics.

Koelsch’s achievements to date include selling thousands of physical records/CD’s, performing over 170 shows per year, winning a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, as well as sharing the stage with members of legendary bands such as REM, Pink Floyd and Toto.

Hailing from Poland, the epic black / death metallers of DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS will release their new album,  “The I” on September 22nd, 2017 via Lifeforce Records. The album will be available as CD digipak, limited vinyl LP and digital download.

Recorded at various studios, including Dobra12 (drums) and Icaros Studio (guitars) the disc was mixed and mastered at Impressive Art Studio by Przemyslaw Nowak who also handled vocals recording sessions and guitars’ re-amping. The album’s artwork, design and layout were created by Infected Minds.

The album features special guest appearances by MERCYFUL FATE / KING DIAMOND’s guitarist Mike Wead and by Norway’s dark metal masters AETERNUS’ vocalist / guitarist Ares. Other artists who also contributed to the record are shamanic ritual meditative experimental act BÖN and Impressive Art Studio’s owner PRZEMYSLAW NOWAK who came up with interludes, additional background tunes and effects.

“It’s been a really long way to be finally able to wrap it all up, countless nights spent on writing the music and lyrics first, then working on the album’s pre-production, followed by what seemed to be never-ending, proper recording sessions, and tones of work that had to be done for the band afterwards. We really wanted this new album to become something really special and therefore, to avoid any haphazard decisions, we let them come out of us smoothly, without putting ourselves under any external tension and stuff. Did it pay off? Well, we’ll see… We surely worked our asses off, pushed things back and forth to get the best out of it. As a result we’ve got something we are damn proud of, something that we believe surpasses on all possible levels everything we’ve done in the past. I simply believe we’d outdone ourselves and recorded something that will cause your hearts beat faster…” – comments Quazarre, the band’s composer, vocalist and guitarist.

The title chosen, “The I”, for the record is not only a phonetic acronym of the band’s name, but above all it reflects the manifesto they stand for since the Horde’s inception in the year 2000 – the notion of freedom of choice and will. A supremacy of an individual over any external factors being imposed on us by others, with special emphasis on religion and its convictions, dogmas and paradigms. “The I” is a rebellious manifesto targeted against all those who stand opposed to anything that drives us towards individual perfection.

Brooklyn based Rebel Pop recording artist Katie Costello has premiered the first track off her forthcoming “New World” EP, due out on July 28th (Rebel Pop Records). AXS.com premiered the titular single, which Costello described as “[a song] about staying positive and doing what's right in order to make the world a better place.”

Rebel Pop Records artist and co-founder Katie Costello has a new and fresh vision for modern pop music. With her anthemic slabs of pop positivity, tracks like “New World” burst at the seams with the kind of upbeat open-mindedness that a world currently in turmoil needs. In a recent interview with Pur Opulence, Costello described her uplifting messages of unity, diversity, and hope: “I call my style of music Rebel Pop. It’s “rebel” because I’m the artist, composer, music publisher and record label – doing it authentically and independently. It’s “pop” because it’s feel good music that is intended for everyone.”

Costello’s unique brand of pop music has already received rave reviews and praise from music industry tastemakers. Los Angeles based NPR affiliate KCRW’s Nic Harcourt featured Katie on his “Today’s Top Tune” show, and praised Costello for her mature songwriting and “making her path clear.” Interview Magazine has called Katie’s vocals “pristine and smoky,” and compared her to Ingrid Michaelson and Regina Spektor. Paste praised Katie for her “unique take on an oft-stilted genre.” With a new EP titled “New World” due out this July and a third full-length album to be released in October, Katie Costello is ready to take her bright and assured “Rebel Pop” to the next level.

Katie Costello recently wrapped up a string of live shows in Denver and Los Angeles, and will be playing a record release show at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC on July 28th.

Fans can listen to “New World” HERE. Pre-orders for the three-song EP are also available HERE.

Spylights is a solo project of The Scorseses former frontman vocalist Vincent Ebeier. He decide to form this new project because he wanted to continue writing and recording music. This would lead to his own creations within the music spectrum called Spylights. So he has taken some time to discuss this all new solo project of his and what he has in-store for it!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Well my name is Vincent Ebeier and Spylights is my solo project. I was the lead vocalist of The Scorseses from 2009 to late 2014. When the band called it quits, I started writing and recording music of my own. Even though I performed all the instrumentation and vocals on the Ep, I now have found some really talented guys who are on board that are going to be learning and playing the songs live. Hopefully those guys will remain permanent members and we can keep the wheel spinning!

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Spylights was a name that I came up with during a period of time when I was feeling lost, down, and imprisoned by the redundancy and uncertainties of life. I just visualized the image of someone trying to escape a prison in the dead of night surrounded by miles of snow and forest with spotlights searching for them.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

I am from a small but very cool music scene right outside New Orleans called Metairie, Louisiana. There are tons of talented bands here where I am from, there is almost too many to name but here goes.. Check out Resurface, Like Water, Bending, House of Goats, Zombies Eating Sheep, Rathbone Balthazar, The Arbitrary, Raise the Death Toll, Holoverse, Event Horizon, Solunar, Typical Stereo, The Tomb of Nick Cage, Jack Locke, The Absence Project, Harvest of Lions, The Weakness, The Continual, and the list goes on and on.

4. How would you describe your style?

I would describe it as a good mixture of singer songwriter style rock with hints of metal, alternative, Pop and jazz. It def has a strong 80's and 90's influence as well as a modern and progressive sound at points!

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Up to this point I have only released a demo of the first single called "False Walls" on YouTube. The full EP is in the mixing stage right now and will be released for free on bandcamp.com by the end of Summer! You can expect plenty of music coming your way, a music video or 2, and some live shows!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Besides the 6 from the EP, I have about 30 songs written, arranged, and recorded for the future. I am also steadily writing new material all the time!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

I definitely am planning on playing live with a full band by the beginning of 2018.On the record I played and wrote all the parts, but can't do that in a live setting obviously. I just need to find a couple more passionate members to complete the team.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

I plan on releasing many colorful and dynamic records with Spylights as well as collaborations with other artists. I'll be playing the songs live to the people that want to hear them and enjoy them.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can go to Spylights.bandcamp.com to pick up a free copy of the record when it gets released! You can follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with the project.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

First know that this is my first EP as a solo artist, and I did the whole thing myself when I really didn't know what I was doing as a recording engineer. Please go easy on me, and I hope you really enjoy it! Haha!

thanks. is Steve Pagano and Mario Borgatta. Combining psychedelic pop, cinematic vibes and electronically influenced beats and melodies, thanks. have succeeded in creating catchy indie pop with an edge.

The duo emerged after meeting at Berklee College of Music in 2009. It was then that Pagano and Borgatta realized they shared the same sentiment for music and how aligned their goal really was. Together they have accomplished this goal in crafting a sound which is simultaneously unique and accessible to the masses. They set out with the intent to express their story through an artistic portrayal of music and lyrics, and prevailed in culminating a winning formula which can resonate with their audiences.

Their highly anticipated debut album Colfax, named after the location of their recording studio and where the majority of the album was conceived, is the result of the pair uniting and a culmination of their mutual thoughts and beliefs. Colfax depicts the duo’s endeavor in stepping away from the grasp of musical elitism and producing material which is true to not only themselves, but to the world around them. The importance of making a record which was relatable to different people was crucial. “Whatever the theme is, we do our best to keep it transparent so it can be interpreted in different ways”, admits Borgatta. thanks. pride themselves on being people who are in touch with the universe and the people who occupy it. This assimilation with the people can be felt in their music and there is no mistake, it’s genuine.

Lead single “Your World” consists of catchy psych-pop melodies, climatic choruses and upbeat funk rhythms, reminiscent of early MGMT. Enriched with an array of textures and vintage synths it is the ultimate summer anthem. Despite “Your World” having an optimistic, summery feel the song admittedly delivers a powerful message, with the lyrics being in reference to an idea of a present-day society where lives are governed by a political agenda we may or may not agree with. Borgatta reveals, "the idea was inspired by George Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four” and though our lyrics aren't meant to express any opinion towards a specific political idea or belief, we hope to motivate people to take action in what they believe in”.

“Annabelle” highlights the bands diversity with a more 60’s psych influence, combining acid-folk and a hint of stoner power-pop. Borgatta admits how they were listening to The Beatles "Across The Universe” during their time spent in the studio and “Annabelle” is a clear indication of this inspiration.

Pagano and Borgatta have seen previous success with numerous TV placements on major networks including MTV, ABC and Netflix, as well as having engineered on records from world renown, critically acclaimed artists such as Muse, Death Cab For Cutie, Foster The People and many more.

thanks. debut full length album Colfax is due for release summer 2017.

Death metallers Decrepit Birth is an act that has been in the works since the 90's. During which they have gotten signed quite a few times, released a handful of albums, played shows as well as toured all over the place. There are no plans on stopping but may be some gaps in between for them which is fine and dandy at least for them. Guitarist/backing vocalist Matt Sotelo talks of their past, present, and future.

1. Can you please tell me the story as to how the band got its name Decrepit Birth? What does this name mean for those who may not know?

Matt: Yeah it's a name our singer Bill came up with a long time ago. It was just a name be brought up, the representation is kind of different than some people would think. Some may think it's something gory related, but it is not like that. It is more symbolic of something else, kind of like a world of where you're born into it, that has it dying. As soon as your born you're dying. Another way to describe the meaning would be that it has these decrepit ways of being born, into something new is more or less the meaning of what we wanted to go with for our band's name. It's not really something that matters to much to us, it is really just a name to us now. We're not trying to go around spreading the mean of our band's name, it is just our name.

2. You guys have been a band for over 15 years now, did you guys do anything to celebration the BIG 1-0 mark or did it not cross your mind? Will you be doing anything in regards to the BIG 2-0 in a few years time?

Matt: Well we had a 10 year mark kind of, the band has been around since the 90's, we officially came out with our first album like in 2003, had gotten signed before that in 2001 with Unique Leader Records. That is kind of when the band started at least it is what people say. But the band has been around before that, the mid to late 90's as a hometown local band back then before any of this happened.

As far as celebrating any mile stones we have not planned anything. But a 20 year celebration may be a good idea. So we will see what happens, when that time comes along for us. But celebrating anything between now and back then, nothing was done. But there is always the future like I said with the 20 year mark coming up.

3. While your band has been around for such a long time as it is, why has the band only released four albums to date?

Matt: There was a long gap between the time of our first album in 2003 to our second album in 2008. So basically it was due to life believe it or not. This is not all I do in life, having other things going on, music is more of a hobby for me. I do get paid, I make money off our merch and music, but it is not enough to make a decent living. So I am grateful for it, but it takes a long time to being in a family and be in a band as well. So it took 5 years between our first and second album because my kid was born so that took up sometime as well.

From there it only took 2 years between the second and third album release, which at the time we got signed with another label,  so we went and wrote, recorded, and turned in that third album to the label to get out there as soon as possible. Now we're at the fourth album which has taken a bit longer than the rest, at 7 years time length to get out. Honestly I don't know how the time just flew bye, since our signing with Nuclear Blast Records, with our last album being released. I had other work and music going on, writing songs for other types of music at the time. I did not start writing new material for this fourth album until about 2013-2014 then we were done by 2015. Then by mid-2016 the recording was done so now we are here and it has been 7 years and time just flew and life got the best of me and us.

I enjoy nice things in life, as far as being on top of the band of all times of my life, I am just not and that is where it is at really for all of us.

4. Speaking of the fourth album which is titled "Axis Mundi", this will be your first new album in seven years, why such a long time period between albums?

Matt: Just simply life. Like I said before, life and time just got in the way for all of us really. But we are here now, have this new album and plan to go out in full force with promoting it, playing shows whatever we can do to get back out there!

5. "Axis Mundi" will be your second release for Nuclear Blast Records, how has this relationship been going with them since signing on back then?

Matt: It's been going decently.  I like them a lot. We have also signed on with Agonia Records for Europe, so we're happy with what they are doing out there as well. Out here in the U.S. they want to push bands in a certain way. It is not really how we want to present ourselves, sometimes they have different opinions and ideas of what they want of us, but they are very understanding of what we want to do. We are not a giant metal band ya know? The rules are a little different, we are a underground death metal band. We don't want to be flashy and really out there all the time. You would not really see a lot of the artists or bands in magazines back in the day at the local shop in the 90s. The mystery of it all is not there anymore, you have to find that fine line of putting yourself out there, not giving people everything all at once. So doing little bits and pieces for publications, zines, is fine every now and again.

6. For the longest time you have gone with renowned fantasy artist Dan Seagrave for your album's assorted artwork, why keep that relationship going and not try someone new? Does he already know what you want and just tosses it out without you giving any input, because you have worked together for so long now?

Matt: We're friendly and have hung out one time. We have a lot of respect for his work and artwork. When I was a kid, I remember back in the day seeing his art and wanted his artwork to be a part of my work which we got to make reality. He is able to put our ideas into a vision of his and ours. We are able to do a sound scape while he does it visually and he always gets us. We have worked with other artists for other pieces like merch, random artwork for this or that. But Dan is the man for us for cover artwork but you never know. At this point I don't see anyone else doing album cover's for us but him.

7. Will we ever see Decrepit Birth perform any of your releases in full from start to finish, or is that not your style to do?

Matt: It's not to say we would not do it. It is just hard for us. Some of the songs off our albums, like our first album, have not been played for so long. Not sure if I could even play them anymore. We just never played them , just wrote them and tossed them on the first album. For me my personal favorite would have to be our second album. I do love our new album for sure, but that second album of ours is just a personal touch for me personally. Any album we would do front to back would be that album. A lot of practicing would come into play, playing those songs would be 45 minutes of music, it is intense. We could do it, and we would do it, but it would be that second album for sure. So we'll see what happens.

8. What about hearing any of Decrepit Birth's material in acoustic form, including the death metal vocals, would that be something you would like to try?

Matt: Not sure if that would work for us. But having acoustics in our music here and there within our music, not death metal singing over it, but melodies played out here and there, on our albums has been done. Now having us perform an acoustic set or record a song with the death metal vocals would really work out. Don't think we would be the right band to do that, but maybe there is a band out there that could get it to work out that way. I'd say maybe Opeth has done it, but we will stick to the heaviness of our music.

9. When can we expect to see a live release in the form of an album or DVD come from you guys. Have anything in mind or nothing yet?

Matt: We have thought about it. We definitely want to do a live DVD. Our problem is our issues with drummers. To secure a drumming that has nothing going on, or to focus on a tour with shooting shots here and there or picking one night out. It is just setting it all up really. If we can work it all out, we would want to do it. Maybe in the next couple of years something will be in the works live DVD-wise than a live album. You have to see it and hear it to get it.

10. What else do you guys have planned for the rest of this year?

Matt: It's funny you ask, because I have just been focused on just that. We have a management team and an agent, trying to set up stuff for us. We thought we had something but it did not work out. It would suck to not have anything set for this album's release. We are not going to be on tour for this album, but how it worked out which sucks. We were hoping to have it released for this last run we did but it did not work out. It was ready but it was not ready for everyone else's part to be put out yet. So we won't be on tour when this album is out there. But I am hoping we can set something for the fall. Winter time for me and the band just does not work out so well. So we will see what happens. We will be touring in the future just nothing set just yet, but it is coming!

11. Anything else you would like to add or say to the fans or new fans out there?

Matt: Thanks for the support, come check us out on tour, we will be on tour! Hope everyone enjoys the new music, and comes out to see us next time around!

Elle Casazza’s album "Proof" was briefly discussed in the single review of one of the tracks off it called "You". This time though "Proof" will be discussed in full with its other assorted singles including the mention of "You" once more. So then where do we begin with this release really. Well it consists of 10-tracks, "You", being one of them of course, that track is a pure re-boost of energy really, showing off the skill set that Elle brings upon herself with her music making abilities. Whereas other tracks such as "Hey", "Save Me", "Too Bad", and "Last Word", are the glimpses into what can be expected from her as an artist and her material in general.

Her skill picks up pieces from the likes of jazz, soul, funk, and pop, together blending of the genres so flawlessly she works them so well into her musical trait it's no wonder she is slowly stepping upon the scene with her refreshing source of style let alone sound.

Like take these tracks mentioned just now, they instantly showcase a style that some would call retro pop. Which believe it or not does suit her for not just her music but her unique style trends as well. If you have seen her look which is upon the cover of "Proof" you get that classy retro sensational vibe right away. So again you can see just how much style and sense Elle delivers here.

If that is not saying much then her music is really where it kicks in really. "You", is really one of those ballad types of tracks, built upon love, highlighting a relationship that was endless due to its devolution. The beat behind it is not that bad either, it maintains the vocals so willingly the rest of the music just floats standing still but still is very moving and effective. "Too Bad", is another one of those that just gears the music into the right direction with its diverse force of focus and true pulsing drive. It becomes another staple of a hitter off of "Proof" that will cause an uproar of glee for Elle as a person and for her music with this track easily.

The others named "Hey", "Save Me", and "Last Word", are a trio of sorts that expand her creativity of mind and soul. For instance with these tracks in particular, they build up that burst of energy, having moments of soothing, upbeat, undertone that keeps the music at a slow yet steady pace. While the vocal chords on the other hand, sound more focused, yet easy going, allowing for the music to be more on the laid back relaxation vibrations feeling giving off for them. They are decent tracks with a decent feel that just needs a bit more spunk is all.

All in all though Elle's "Proof" album may be not that old of a release, but for her and the material found on it. It is surely an eye grabbing for some, because it mixes things up, allowing for her as an artist to explore her music skills ever so further, that she can stand straight, developing them more so than they were developed here. Pushing her music into a more energetic phase and tone if you will.

Japanese all-female visual kei band exist†trace performed the third show of their solo concert series at Ebisu Club Aim on June 19, titled “THE URGE BLUE”.

“The 19th Challenge” series is exist†trace’s 2017 project to connect them with their fans through extended live shows on the band’s special day, the 19th of each month.

Jyou (vocals): “The monthly one-man show has a different theme every time. The theme for this one was ‘urge’ and it was a really hot night with raw emotions. We wanted to unite the whole place more than ever and create the best show. We did fewer MCs and played songs one after another to increase the pressure on us and the audience, and the audience reacted with all their might! My excitement didn’t calm down even after the live show, and I couldn’t sleep. It made me realize that we can keep going past our limits. I’m looking forward to finding out how far we can go with the next one.”

miko (guitar, vocals): “It was the third night of our monthly one-man show! Everyone who joined us and everyone who sent energy from far away, thank you! This show, with the theme of ‘passion’, was titled ‘THE URGE BLUE’. It indeed turned out to be a live show filled with urgency and heat! We especially focused on our song ‘SKY’ this time, and we were able to create a concert full of a sense of freedom. It was also a time I could re-realize that this is where I come home to. We will heat it up more every month so that more new friends can jump in with us. Under the same sky, let’s prove together that nothing is impossible!”

The band performed 19 songs over the course of the two-hour-plus set, including “CUT IT OUT” a yet-to-be recorded song that band has been refining in live shows for about two years. The concert also featured the band members wearing special blue armbands, symbolizing the themes of “sky” and “unity”.

exist†trace with perform their next one-man show “Shout Alive"/"to the end of despair” on July 19, followed by their appearance at the “hide presents MIX LEMONeD JELLY 2017″ tribute event at Shinkiba Studio Coast on August 5, alongside LM.C, heidi., DaizyStripper, ALDIOUS, and others.

Like Minded Criminals is one act you should be following if you are not doing so already. For this one act is one that in just a short amount of time, has already gone as far as self taught themselves, played a chunk of showcases, alongside a lot of well known bands, Michale Graves of The Misfits, Everyone Leaves, Crack Rock Steady 7, plus many more. Like Minded Criminals have spent time in the studio writing and recording for their first full-length album "Drowning In Bed".

"And I'm The Liar?", and "Grace Under Pressure", are the two lead singles off this album, currently they are really drawing in the attention of the fan base, media, and new comers who had no idea who Like Minded Criminals was really all about until hearing these tracks. After which, the rest of the album should surely become a hit for not just the band for many others discovering them as well. Nonetheless though, opening up this album with "High And Dry", as well as these singles following said track, is quite the number to pull, for when listening to these tracks one after the other like that, you get a feel of pure rock n' roll with a dash of alternative rock, but it sounds so much like grunge music when it is not.

For real though when first listening to these tracks in a row off the start off this album, Alice In Chains meets Pearl Jam, crossed my mind, which is not a bad thing by any means at all. That is the style that these guys gave off really and it shows within these set of tracks in particular. For the rest of the album, the rest of it is rather more rock based than grunge sounding really. Still has that fresh captivating sound, with a modern day twist, keeping the energy of the music afloat really well.

That is really what happens when listening to Like Minded Criminals though, "Drowning In Bed", is just one of those albums, that does this sort of thing. You get an experience you have heard before, compare it something else when it is really something entirely different, fresh, and new. These guys have got the energy, with that hard rock n' roll vibe, to keep the flow of the music running for as long as it can withstand this highly entertaining trio of musicians.

Alternative metal duo Exoaura is female fronted with a fairly new release of material, including their two singles "Reverence" and "Ambit". Their self-titled EP debut is set for release this summer and they cannot wait for all to hear it! This duo took the time to discuss their forming, music, and future.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members?

Lindsey: Exoaura is comprised of myself, Lindsey Church (vocals/piano/arrangements) and Adam Ingram (instrumentation/programming/engineering). We both have pretty different styles. I have a background of R&B/Soul, while Adam listens to more prog&djent, but we share a common love for metal. We both hail from the nu-metal band Reflection where we noticed our undeniable chemistry together, so we've been writing and performing together since 2004.

2. What's the origin of the band's name?

Adam: We went back and forth on different names, but ultimately wanted it to be a concept of surpassing one's limitations in life. So, we came up with Exoaura "exo" meaning outside and "aura" meaning ones atmosphere.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Lindsey: We're based out of Spokane, WA, USA. Washington was the birth place of grunge in the early 90's, home to huge names like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains etc. The music scene has kept a part of that gritty emotion throughout the years, but has evolved into a more progressive and varying one. There is a huge array of styles here, but the home grown bands that I would recommend are Rishloo and also Omni. They both have a dynamic sound and a great blend of vocals and instrumentation.

4. How would you describe your style?

Adam: We're a female fronted alternative-metal duo with a twist of soul. We're a unique combination of passionate vocals, thought provoking lyrics, down tuned 8 string guitar riffs, melodic grooves and ethereal orchestration.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Lindsey: Exoaura is our new project, so at the moment we've released our two singles "Reverence"; and "Ambit". Our debut self-titled EP release date is June 30th, 2017 and we can't wait for everyone to hear it. The EP is a convergence of our styles, so it's diverse ranging from light to heavy in writing. Lyrically it's inspired by how a huge part of the world bases their lives around fear and hate, rather than embracing love, but that there are people who are strong enough to rise above that and live free.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Adam: Yes, besides our EP release, this year we will be dropping our cover of Karnivool's "Synops" and are already busy in the studio writing our sophomore album. So, lots to come!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Lindsey: We don't have tour dates set for this year yet, but we've had an outcry from our amazing fans from the US, Mexico and Brazil asking us for shows asap, so we'll keep our fans posted on future tour dates.

8. What plans do you have for the future of the band?

Adam: Besides our debut release and sophomore album, we're doing covers, merch giveaways, live in the studio performances and are just going to keep writing, doing what we love and giving back to our awesome fans.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Adam: We’re in your favorite stores from iTunes and Amazon to streaming services like Spotify and YouTube. Of course, fans can also support us directly on our site: http://www.exoaura.com/shop.

10. What is it you would like a listener to remember most when hearing your music for the first time?

Lindsey: Mainly the raw emotion that was put into making it and that through the stories of curiosity, pain and beauty, we can connect on a deeper level.

Crejuvent will be releasing their debut EP "Time" for the summer! The band says this is one of the grooviest, heaviest, and bone grinding releases that any fan of heavy music will question into liking! The band goes into saying further about how they got together, their new music, and future activity!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Welp, it all started a few years ago. I was starting to feel like I needed a place for my increasingly expanding ego to roam free and loose. So I started writing songs, and when I eventually wanted to release them that’s when this project, Crejuvent, was conceived. About two years ago I released a set of demos promptly titled ‘Pretty Demos’, and this year on the 1st of July, Crejuvent will be releasing its debut ‘Time’ EP! The members consist of me, myself, and my schizophrenic alter ego.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

One day the cosmos opened my mind to the wonders beyond human comprehension. I saw visions of an ever expanding multiverse, surrounded by a cascade of infinite realities. And as I journeyed through the expanding universe, life uttered a whisper – Crejuvent. I actually accidentally made the word up one day playing scrabble. When I put it in Google it came up with no results so I just claimed it.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

Well I’m half Italian and half Brazilian, and I’ve been living in Liverpool, UK for the past five years. Before that I lived in the Netherlands for four years. I started the idea for Crejuvent back when I was in the Netherlands, but it’s only been in these past few years that I’ve done any actual work on it so technically Crejuvent is currently based in Liverpool. There scene here has been a bit hit or miss these past few years, but I’m glad to say things are picking up again! I’ve been going to local gigs since I first moved here and I’m now starting to see more and more new faces every time I go, more bands are starting out and trying stuff out, so it’s definitely growing! As far as recommendations, it really depends what you’re looking for. Oceanis is the one band most people will know, and they’re fantastic! They’re all fun guys, really good musicians, and they always deliver live! There’s a bit of an up and coming slam metal scene here, so if you’re into that then bands like Crepitation are ones to look out for. There isn’t too much in terms of black metal unfortunately, but there are bands like Ninkharsag who do pretty well.

4. How would you describe your style?

Ah yes, the age old philosophical question. I like it when bands get asked this because they pretty much ALWAYS say something amongst the lines of “I don’t really know, it’s sort of impossible to define us because we have such a different mix of genres”. Especially in metal, it’s hilarious.

But enough ranting. I’d describe Crejuvent’s style as a significant lack of style. It’s quite possibly the most un-cool metal ever. It’s big, it’s relentless, uninhibited, and would probably make most people feel uncomfortable.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Well, the debut ‘Time’ EP is coming out ON THE 1st OF JULY SO GET ON IT! It’s got 5 testicle-compressing tracks guaranteed to put a smile on any listener’s face! There’s going to be a lyric video coming out for the title track and a play through video for the track Code Orange and maybe in the future some other cool shit! Buy the CD, download the mp3’s, stream it, whatever, just check it out! Please! I’m…so lonely.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

Once ‘Time’ is released I’ll probably start writing some more stuff specifically for Crejuvent. I have bits and bobs here and there, a few finished demos, I just want to see how this release works out first.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Nope. I just sort of wing it and hope for the best.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Hmm, I don’t really know. Mainly focus on this release for now, then keep doing shit like this until I either fade into absolute obscurity or until I get the courage to pull off some sort of over-the-top suicide stunt as the most devoted PR move ever been done and hope that gets me somewhere. Actually, scratch all that, I’ll keep kicking ass until Crejuvent gets me laid and then I’ll call it quits.

 9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Where CAN’T you listen to Crejuvent is the- that’s the REAL question you should be asking! And the answer to that for now is just Bandcamp and Sounccloud basically. But on the 1st of July, you’ll be able to listen to the SHINY NEW ‘Time’ EP EVERYWHERE! It’s gonna be on every single imaginable streaming/downloading service (including Spotify, iTunes, Grooveshark, Google Play, whatever!), it’s going to be downloadable and streamable through the Crejuvent’s bandcamp page at www.crejuvent.bandcamp.com (where you’ll also be able to buy physical copies for all you old men out there!), it’ll be uploaded to the band’s Soundcloud page, imbedded in the headrest of your car, I’ll make vibrating dildos that vibrate to the songs, all that fun stuff!

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

Where they put their car keys. If I can help them on their way to work then I know I’ve done my part right! Just kidding. The correct answer is I’d like them to remember how  they lost their virginity.
