Machine 85 Talks of New Album, Recent Singles, and the Future!

Modernized rockers MACHINE 85 have not one but two single's out, with an album in the works set for release! The band talks about these pieces, and the future ahead.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Hi! Thanks for this interview! Jokke Pettersson here, singer and founder of the band. Ive had this music in me since I was a kid. Which I was when I met our drummer Ulf Wahlgren. We met when we where 13, I had a metallica t-shirt and he had a Slipknot t-shirt. We instantly started to skip classes and started to play together. First year we only played metallica covers haha. I met bassplayer Alfred Andersson when we where 16. So a few years later. We met at a music school and found each-other right away. Since then the 3 of us have played together, toured together and recorded In various constellations over the years. So when I decided to form a new band it had to be with my brothers. I wanted to record my dream-album. And so we did, At the famous Soundenporium in Nashville. No click track, no bullshit. Pure energy and joy.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

I just wanted to have a name that was unique when you google haha. The music industry today makes you feel like a machine sometimes too. Lot of DIY.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are al from the south of Sweden. Our country has a GREAT rock scene. In Flames, Soilwork, The Hives just to name a few.

4. How would you describe your style?

A Big bowl of energy, joy, and rock. Old school feelings with a modern touch,

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have two singles out. Forever Broken and 20 Days. You can expect honest sounds, and honest playing. Classic heavy metal with a 70s vibe.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

We have a full album ready to go. Planning the release. And Im always working on new material so yes!

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

We just signed with our first management Deadfall. We are ready to go!

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Tour as much as possible on this release then record the next album.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Stream it wherever you stream! Both our singles also have music videos. Search for Machine 85 on YouTube and you will find us easily.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

What a fucking ride!
