The Evisceration Plague Tour’s Hollywood Pit Stop

What could be said about Cannibal Corpse that hasn't been said already? Well nothing really because these death metal heads are insanely brutal enough to take you down and demolish you from the inside out. Unlike the other death metal acts walking amongst us, Cannibal Corpse has been going at it for the past twenty-two years and doesn't have any intention on stopping. For if it wasn't for them the horrifying scenes we have known to accustom to would be forever forgotten.

On May 6, 2010 the House of Blues on the famous Hollywood Sunset Strip had delivered an over the top experience unlike any other, thanks to the likes of The Evisceration Plague Tour with acts like Lecherous Nocturne, Skeletonwitch, 1349 and death metal titans Cannibal Corpse you couldn’t possibly go wrong with this predicament. Or could you? Well to start it all off was Lecherous Nocturne who produced an aggressive set with out-standing guitar riffs with misspoken vocal chords that their whole route was just downright impressive. Whereas Skeletonwitch had another scenario up their sleeves getting the crowd up and off their feet as a sea of crowd surfers took the waves of heads, arms, and hands lifting them up tossing them left and right as the music produced to get heavier and heavier.

After the aggressiveness had died down the darkness had been let in as black metal veterans 1349 took over the stage with their long-lasting set list that comprised of nothing but the same old route, each song sounding exactly the same the crowd showing support but weren’t at all pleased with the results they were given. Once their set was said and done, the death metal aggression had returned to the surface with the likeness of Cannibal Corpse.

Now that these guys have been around for quite some time as it were, their live performance route was rather flip-flopped this time around. Having their set list be tattered and torn into a whole another variety of tunes that haven’t seen the light of day for a while, singing such tunes as “Gutted”, "The Cryptic Stench", "The Wretched Spawn", "Pit of Zombies", "Pounded Into Dust", among other classical tunes with mix-up of newer additions such as ‘Make Them Suffer”, and “Death Walking Terror” going right back into the past with “A Skull Full of Maggots”, and “Hammer Smash Face”, rounding it off with ‘Stripped, Raped, and Strangled”.

Through it all it was a night of pure brutality that will not be missed.
