This past summer during May 6th's annual FREE Comic Book Day event across the U.S. several comic books were handed out as "freebies". One of which was one by Mattel's brand Monster High, releasing Issue 0 by author Abby Denson and illustrator Arianna Florean.
The comic was published by Titan Comics, and titled "Mad Science Fair", it's story line as follows;
"It's time for a school competition, and all of the ghoulfriends are excited about showing off their talents! But Clawdeen finds it challenging and runs away! Can her friends find Clawdeen and help her out? And who will win the competition?"
So then what happened to the comic series that was suppose to come from this issue 0 comic? Well nothing happened according to the author Abby Denson, when asked by myself (Natalie Perez via social media) she responded with
"Hi Natalie, I'm not sure if they will make more. I hope so! Thanks for asking. :)"
That apparently answers the reasoning to why no more issues of the Monster High comic have been released since the May 6th issue. All current issues of this comic are available online but most sources have it sold out or high in prince with the pricing, taxes, and shipping and handling fee's etc.
If you are one to have one handy, hold onto it, it may become valuable maybe. Or perhaps it will develop into a full fledged series someday.
