NÖCTÆ mixes a variety of band's sounds to create one that is truly them. With this, they released an EP as well as a debut album. A new video was released, with them already working on all new music! The band talks about releasing said album, new music, and everything else planned out.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
NÖCTÆ was born on Halloween 2019 as a duo, Eloy (from Beyond the Fallen) on vocals and Daniele (from Shiny Black Anthem) on everything else, but after releasing an EP (1988, BIJ Records) and after the lockdown, we decided to add two more members Samuele on drums and Andrea on guitars!
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
Eloy wanted something that could represent the style of the band, and so the NIGHT is perfect, in Latin is even better! (Ö is for Mötley Crüe and Æ for Tool's Ænima)
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?
We're from Rome, and we don't have a real rock scene, but there are many great artists like Becko and IN6NE !
4. How would you describe your style?
We couldn't describe our sound with a single genre, but you can mix Bring Me The Horizon, Nine Inch Nails, 30 Seconds to mars, Mötley Crüe, The Prodigy... and you could have NÖCTÆ !
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We released our first EP in 2019 and our debut album SHOCKOLATE on may 2023! But we're already working on new music!
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We've just released our brand new video BLOSSOM and our debut album, but we have new songs in the work!
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We're going to have a party for the release of our album during a Tattoo convention, our place to be!
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
We're working to play in Europe and Japan later this year!
