Alexrincon Himself Talks of New Music, Creativity and More!

Experimental, emotional yet powerful artist ALEXRINCON has been actively doing music for a while now, having released 2 EP's along with 2 mixtapes as well. An all new mixtape is set to be coming out, with further newer music to follow as he see's it fits. Nothing live as far as shows or tours yet, but other plans are ahead with music and more else. Alexrincon himself talks of this below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

I created this project as more of a digital diary for myself. I love relaxing music, beat making, and lofi music so I wanted to make my own music in that genre.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

To be honest there's really no "origin" behind my name. I really couldn't figure out a band name so I just went with my name, but recently I've been thinking about changing my project under a different moniker.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

I'm based out of Dallas, our music scene is very diverse and competitive, so you can usually find just about whatever kind of music you like in the area, and you're likely to find something good!

4. How would you describe your style?

Very relaxing, experimental, emotionally powerful. I try to make music that makes people feel good.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

I have released 2 EPs, 2 mixtapes, and a lot of video game lofi covers.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

After this new mixtape comes out I'll see how I feel. I try to not push myself too hard with this music and allow it to create itself naturally. :)

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

With the COVID Pandemic still ongoing, I don't have anything live planned out for the foreseeable future, but that's okay! I think a lot of people consume my music online or through playlists, and I'm okay with that. Would I like to play live? Absolutely.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Just going to continue writing music at my leisure and go from there!

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

You can find my artist account on Spotify under "alexrincon." Bandcamp, Facebook, Soundcloud, etc.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

I'd like them to remember how it made them feel, and hopefully it entertained you!
