Young Medicine Release Brutal Metalcore Synthwave Single "Hold On To Anything"

Young Medicine are back with their latest metalcore infused synthwave meets emo single "Hold On To Anything."

Pushing further into the metal genre than they have in the past "Hold On To Anything" is a study of a classic anime trope of revenge. It comes complete with the emotional peaks and valleys with introspective verse and fierce chorus sections that Young Medicine has come to be known for. The track features heavy metalcore guitar riffs balanced with throwback synth melodies, vigorous drumming, and topped off with with Evan Kappelman on Saxophone for a unique finish that only Young Medicine can deliver. The group’s unmistakable style has never sounded better as they continue to lay the explosive groundwork for their upcoming album. Stay tuned.

"'Hold on to Anything' is built around that classic anime trope of finally getting your revenge after having been wronged, but having to become the villain to do so," explains Young Medicine. "Musically we went further into the metal background instrumentation than we have on some other songs, but found a good excuse to bring back our long time collaborator, Evan, to lay down some sax to spice up the finale of the track."

Rising synthwave rockers Young Medicine pull the best from diverse genres to build a carefully constructed music identity that defies simple categorization. Thumping double-bass beats and crunchy guitar riffs hammer out hard-hitting rhythms while chorus lines partner with sparkling retro synth tones for a stunning mix of audio ideas. If synthwave and metal got together and started a boy band, the result might sound something like Young Medicine, who have put themselves on the map as pioneers for a new era by bringing rockstar swagger to the retrowave movement.

"Hold On To Anything" is out now on all platforms from FiXT. Check out the track over HERE.
