Skeletonwitch's "Serpents Unleashed" is the fifth album from these thrash metal titans and this time around they have returned to the time of 2004's "At One with the Shadows" and 2007's "Beyond the Permafrost" days. Once this album begins it never seems to slow down but speed up the instrumentals and vocal chords all working at once but together making each and every song that more enjoyable yet progressive. The material here is indeed from the earlier time of when the band was first getting started and it can be heard except this material has a newer yet fresher feeling to it as opposed to that previous work. Either way you look at it Skeletonwitch's latest "Serpents Unleashed" is one of those albums you will want to hear again and again no doubt about it.
