Gothic rock band CATHEDRAL IN FLAMES has been around for a while now, releasing a debut album, with more music coming soon! Expect even more spectacular shows to follow as well! Find out what else the band had to say about themselves.
1. Please tell us about the history of your band.
Once upon a time in Eastern Europe… Two friends, Phil Lee Fall and Gatsby, influenced by bands like The Sisters of Mercy, Fields Of The Nephilim, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Joy Division, came together and formed a gothic rock band in the purest form of this style.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
There is nothing more beautiful than cathedral. And there is nothing more depressive to see it burn.
3. What about the members of the band?
Phil Lee Fall is the vocalist and lyricist, Gatsby is composer and takes care of bass and programming. They are at the moment joined by angel voice of Ambra von Bernstein and punk guitarist Billac de Ville.
4. How would you describe your style?
Gothic rock for the 21st century.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
Our debut album Children Of The Blackest Hole have just been released. So if you like male baritone growling, post punk bass deep as Leviathan and pompous melodies, check it out.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We are already working on next album called Desperado.
7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
Out last concert took place in demolished church of St. Martin in the Old town of Prague. Due to our show with massive sound, torches and smoke it was even visited by the local police and we were asked to stop the show. No way! So the show was afterwards voted as one of the top gigs of the year in the main czech music magazine Rock&Pop. Our every concert have to be THE EVENT for our fans. We are the goths. We are the gods. We are the Cathedral In Flames.
