Korean KPop or Korean Pop based boy band BTS or known as the Bangtan Boys, formed back in 2010, and since have become global icons. Touring the world countless times, most recent being their 2026 world tour, making four stops in Los Angeles, California at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Taking place across the first few days of September, spanning the first, second, fifth and sixth, the first night September 1st was a sold-out experience to behold.
To those not in the know of who BTS is as far as members, the boy band consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, their works consist of a variety of albums, ranging from Korean language and Japanese language albums, with films, singles, videos, and much else to follow. These seven guys have been around for quite some time, the band themselves mentioned it being five whole years since they were last in Los Angeles on their last touring cycle.
This time, the sold-out night number one was something else. For one, it was completely sold out, a good amount of the seats was filled, tons of fans a good amount female, screaming their lungs out at every possible second. That the show would not kick off at 8PM as fans were saying in previous stops, but roughly about 8:10ish, going straight on into 10:30PMish, with an extensive setlist of 23-songs total!
LIVE PHOTOS:
Some minor interludes did occur, one featuring the various fans amongst the crowd holding signs or dressed up. To other moments featuring audio instrumental music, that let fans make a break for a mini break themselves. Aside from these occurrences though, the stage and production were done really well. Loads of lighting effects, pyro antics, dance segments, with flags or light sticks by the background performers, it made the atmosphere that more memorizing.
Other noticeable moments included the band walking off the centered stage and taking a stroll around the entirety of the whole stadium, so that all the fans can witness them up close! There was also moments of where the band did talk to the audience, with a translator translating the conversation, the band being quite pleased to be there.
Best of all it was one of the members Jung Kook's birthdays so of course the band and the audience did sing him a happy birthday which was accompanied by a "Happy Birthday Jung Kook" banner, added quite the nice touch.
All in all, having this being the first time seeing a Korean boy band, as opposed to the one's from the 90's to 2000's growing up with the Backstreet Boys, NYSNC, 98 Degrees among others, this new generation of boy bands, is different in a variety of ways, that makes them different yet unique.
