Esprit D’Air To Release Cover Song "Serafine"

London-based J-rockers Esprit D’Air is releasing their first cover song, "Serafine" on August 31, 2018. "Serafine" was originally released by Japanese heavy metal band, Dead End, on their 1989 album, "Zero".

Adding their contemporary rock sound to the almost 30-year-old song, Esprit D’Air modernizes the classic track in their cover, re-arranging the original, and making it uniquely theirs. "Serafine" is recorded, mixed, and mastered by lead singer and guitarist, Kai, who has this to say about the cover:

"I recorded this cover simply because I love this song. Morrie is a beautiful lyricist in both Dead End and his solo work, and Dead End’s song Serafine really resonates with me on a personal level. The artwork itself was inspired by a verse line in the song."

Dead End (formed in Tokyo 1984) have inspired legendary Japanese bands such as X Japan, L’Arc~en~Ciel, and Luna Sea. Esprit D’Air’s cover version of ‘Serafine’ can be purchased on iTunes, Amazon MP3, and Google Play from August 31, 2018.

Earlier this year, Esprit D’Air won an award for Best Metal Album at The Independent Music Awards for their debut album, "Constellations", featuring esteemed judging panel including Amy Lee (Evanescence), Slayer, Sepultura, Tom Waits, and many others. The award-winning band is now embarking on a European tour with headlining dates in Spain, UK, France, and The Netherlands.

Constellations Europe Tour:

08 Sep: Barcelona, Spain, La Nau
12 Sep: London, UK, Boston Music Room
13 Sep: Paris, France, Le Klub
15 Sep: The Hague, The Netherlands, AVO J-Music Festival
