A Mattel affiliate gave me the lowdown on all the upcoming news in regards to Mattel's highly popular line, Monster High.
Summer, fall, and winter will all be seeing the Monster High line as we did when it was first introduced last summer, no dates have been planted yet but we will be seeing brand new dolls that include the return of the Dawn of the Dance line and brand new line entitled School's Out. Aside from those we shall also see dolls of such characters as Spectra Vondergeist, Abbey Bominable, Operetta, and Clawd Wolf. Additional characters that have appeared in the Monster High cartoon series; Heath Burns, Slow-Moe, Gil, Torelei and her sisters – will also likely be made into dolls as well.

During the fall term we will have dibs on the newly redesigned Halloween costumes featuring two new characters totaling the costumes to 5 characters in all; Cleo De Nile, Lagoona Blue, Frankie Stein, Drauculaura, and Clawdeen Wolf. The wig and costumes will each be sold separately costumes going for $29.99-34.99 and wigs $14.99-19.99. New clothing for teens and adults will become available featuring all brand new designs spanning the ghoulish trends that have stitched our hearts. What would be so great go with these fashionable new tops? Why not shoes! Yes shoes just as the ghouls wear will become available that are out of this world may be hard to walk in for some but they are freaky fabulous for all.
Other attire includes more make-up and more jewelry. In the electronics bin we will be getting CD's, DVD's and other gadgets to go crazy over. Also the sneak peak we were shown last October on Nick may just make its return come the fall. The motion picture for the hit line is now in casting mode and should begin shooting once the cast has been chosen. If you’re a book worm then book 2 "Monster High: The Ghoul Next Door" was just released this past spring and the third book in the Monster High series will be arriving this fall with a lot of correspondents to follow through with it.
So watch out Barbie Monster High is here to scare the living daylights out of you.
