Frequency Overload Says Much on the Future, Touring and World Domination!

Heavy metal act FREQUENCY OVERLOAD has an album out, and is currently hard at work on what will be their second full-length album. Plus they want to tour in the U.S., Canada, and Europe as well. See what else the band has to say about everything mentioned below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

The foundations of Frequency Overload began with guitarist Corey Schaefer and drummer Kevin  Daily, who realized they shared a metal history when first connected through their families. Corey’s  time in bands like Uncle Jack, Nothing Sacred, Kryonix, Misery, and Misery Kills led to a solid  foundation in guitar and songwriting, one which also led to support slots for Devildriver and Kittie.  Kevin honed his percussion roots by jamming to Metallica’s Kill ‘Em All when he was 14. Later, a run  in Akalamathesia and tenure in Long Island’s iconic Exit Verona led to reigning strong in the Hard  Rock scene to include shows at the legendary B.B. King venue in NYC. With a new metal venture in  mind, Corey set out to round out a lineup. Self-proclaimed “Chokalist” Mr. Bush stepped into the vocal spotlight, no stranger to the experience  with a track record as the frontman of Social Disease, Ironlung, Evileye, Welt, and Pummel, and former labelmate of Dominus-era Michael Poulsen on Progress Records. Steve Little completed the lineup as  an experienced bassist of 30 years, playing in Cobalt 60, Intogreen, Image Within, and Ionize, always  with an eye out to get involved with new music. The unfortunate loss of a bandmate led Steve to step  away from music for some time, but Frequency Overload was just the right project to bring him back  on the scene.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

Bassist Steve Little dubbed the band FREQUENCY OVERLOAD while we were spit balling for  names. It fit a diverse and mature reflection of the band that we favored.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands  you could recommend?

FREQUENCY OVERLOAD is based out of Long Island New York. The music scene here is alive and  well, and being an hour away from the big apple leaves plenty of opportunity there as well. Some of  our friends and stage mates include Westnyle, Black Dawn, Idiot Box, Out Of The Shadows, Jackpipe,  and Graces Of Chaos.

4. How would you describe your style?

That’s a question many have tried to answer. We are heavy metal. Our influences hearken back to the  classic influences of metal, but are tinged with crossover, hardcore, punk, and thrash. We are also  sprinkled with contemporary influences as well.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released a full length album this year called FATE ANTHROPIC. We found a home for it at  SODEH RECORDS, and it is available on all platforms. It is a 10 song full length and even contains a  cover song.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

FREQUENCY OVERLOAD is currently recording our second full length album. We look forward to  having SODEH collaborate pre-production ideas as we move toward mixing and mastering in early  2025.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Currently we are playing the New York tri-state area. We are currently seeking festivals and possibly a  US east coast tour as support for a national act.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

World domination! We intend to be heard, accepted and loved. Our plans include future and US,  Canada, and European tours as well.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

We are available on all platforms. But the center of this web begins at www.frequencyoverload.com. There you can join the mailing list, link to social media, as well as SODEH RECORDS.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

FREQUENCY OVERLOAD would like the listener to remember the fun, the hooks, and diversity! We don’t “try” to fit in. We set our own standard and we hope it appeals to people who like metal.
