Anchor The Storm Says Much About Music and End of the Year Show!

Metal go getters ANCHOR THE STORM have a handful of single's out with a round of other songs in the process being created currently. The band does have a show left for this year, with much more music on the way and will just do it again and again! See what else the band had to say all below.

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members

Anchor The Storm formed while we were in quarantine. Like many other things, it was time for a change for every band member. We came from several different directions. Os and Telf were in a prog band called A Fine Line. Matt was studying recording arts at Full Sail University. Farb was singing for a band called the Fahrenheit Drill in California. Like with everyone, many doors closed and several new ones opened. Anchor The Storm was the direction we chose to pursue musically as we reentered the world.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The word “Anchor” has more than one meaning. Not only is it only a giant piece of metal you drop in the water, it is a action. To “Anchor the Storm” is to hold it together while bad things are happening. And that’s exactly what we try to do.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

The local scene is quite cool here in Orlando, Florida. Try these bands: Traverser, Copper Bones, Mind Scar, Soul Switch, and F.I.L.T.H.

4. How would you describe your style?

Metal with a lot of weird influences. Os is all about progressive metal. Matt loves hardcore. Farb Loves punk. Telf loves progressive metal and Arena Metal. Put it all together and out comes Anchor The Storm.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released 4 singles that can be found on all streaming platforms. Every 2-3 months you can expect another single like clockwork.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

There are currently 11 songs that are in different stages of development, we call it the vault. The vault is a place where we store our ideas together from the music we created.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Currently we have one show left on Dec. 12. Early next year we are gonna record and book some shows up to the summer. Touring is always a yes and we will keep you posted when we have one planned out.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

Write the best music we can. Share it with the world, rinse and repeat.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

Our music is on all streaming platforms and YouTube. Contact us on Instagram or Facebook for merch.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

We want them to remember whatever resonated with them. If it’s lyrics, cool. If it’s the guitar work, Great. If it’s the bass tone, Awesome! If it’s the drums, super! Like whatever you like and tell us about it.
