Multi-Platinum, world-renowned entertainer Gavin DeGraw has released the latest glimpse to his upcoming album Chariot 20 – a brand new, re-envisioned version of his debut album – with “Meaning” available now. Listen and pre-add/pre-save/pre-order Chariot 20 HERE.

"This song was one of the main reasons why I chose to re-imagine the record,” shared DeGraw. “I believe that this song is a great reminder how important love continues to be."

Since its release in 2003, Chariot has evolved into a cultural touchstone. Originally released on J Records, where legendary executive Clive Davis signed DeGraw in 2002, the album established the future Grammy nominee as a singular vocal talent. The project notably features double-Platinum, Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit “I Don’t Want to Be,” which the publication recently named one of the Best Songs of 2004. Additionally, album opener “Follow Through” earned Gold certification while the Platinum-selling title track reached Top 30 territory on the Hot 100.

This revisited version, available Sept. 27, reunites DeGraw with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, who produced DeGraw’s acclaimed 2022 album Face The River. It also features two previously unreleased tracks written during DeGraw’s original Chariot sessions: “Get Lost” and “Love Is Stronger (Alright).”

Maid café’s have been a BIG thing in Japan, bringing them outside of Japan has happened but a lot have only taken place at conventions across the U.S. and Europe. But since Japanese culture has exploded in popularity in the last few years, maid café’s have been popping up as well. One of the many known one’s is the Dreamland Maid café, making appearances at various conventions such as Anime Expo, but recently having their own pop up separate events happening in California as well, one this past Valentine’s and another happening for mid-summer with a Summer Tea Party! One other pop ups was one called the Akiba Maid War cafe, based on the anime of the same name, featuring characters, performances, and food! With yet another maid café that has had its own store open for the entire year, is one in Arcadia, California called the Arcane Maid Café!

This café opened this past spring in April, having its own permanent location with a “Welcome Home” event taking place, having many coming forth to check it out. But since then the café has been a success, having much take place during the convention Anime Expo during the 4th of July weekend this past summer. Having gotten the chance to check it out for myself, at the end of the summer in August, with some friends, it was during the week, no live performances happening until the weekend. But it was still a very fun and exciting experience. When walking up the cafe is adored in this 2D appearance, stickers adored the front door and windows, showcasing its offerings, tea, coffee, food, and desserts.

Upon entering the whole restaurant is in black and white, with drawing’s all over the place, the tables, chairs, and booths also in black and white. There is a front counter with merchandise, desserts displayed, and of course the maid’s greeting you. This day only featuring one maid. But she did a superb job! The numerous items to choose from included katsu curry rice, katsu burger, curry with rice, curry omurice, tokio fred chicken, and okonomi fries, bubble teas, hot tea, coffees, and a variety of desserts, cake, parfaits, brownie, and much much more!

The maid herself was very attentive with requests, ringing the bell, brought her to serve us with ease. There is a restroom made only for customers who dine in, and this week day did have a full house, not packed, but a decent amount that were all enjoying their time there. Is it nice to see a permanent location set up, with perhaps another location coming forth from another maid cafe experience coming within the next year.

Arcane Maid Café is a nice addition that is welcomed here in California, with more to follow suite, many should come out to experience this one, if not other little pop-up’s that arrive here or there. A maid café is a fun but good time for all to enjoy.

KING DIAMOND will embark on a long-awaited North American headlining tour this Fall! The Saint Lucifer's Hospital 1920 trek will commence on October 15th in San Antonio, Texas and run through December 6th in Dallas, Texas. Support will be provided by Overkill and Night Demon. Additional backing vocals for the KING DIAMOND set will be provided by the special guest, Myrkur.

Elaborates KING DIAMOND on what fans can expect, "This is Saint Lucifer's Hospital, enter if you dare! We have been busy putting this ever-growing horror story together, and it's still growing. I know the end of it, but how we will get there will be a long trip. There are so many characters, and so many unexpected things along this journey. It's a crazy family on another timeline in 1920, where I experienced some hard times, and they have to come to our time to steal from us to survive. This is the most elaborate thing we have ever done, that goes for the stage production as well.

"There will be additional backing vocals by Myrkur and she'll be playing organ for songs that need it. There will be some horrific surprises taking place on stage, but we are not to be held responsible since we are on a whole different timeline in 1920. It was back at the time when medicine was going through a dark period with lots of testing on human beings in order to progress medicine. This is Saint Lucifer's Hospital, also known as The Institute, enter if you dare!"

Sweden's extreme metal titans Arch Enemy ring in a new musical chapter with a surprise single and video drop, "Dream Stealer," which marks the first new music since their successful album Deceivers, which was released in August 2022.     

Michael Amott shares about the new single, "First new Arch Enemy song we release in a little while and it feels good to be back! It was a blast working on 'Dream Stealer' in the studio, this song just has the high energy and twisted atmosphere that makes it so fun to play! Crank it up, loud and heavy! Metal is immortal!"

Following their much-acclaimed latest studio album 'Torem,' (released in October 2023 via Napalm Records), Siberian dark folk duo NYTT LAND has unleashed a stunning cover version of Slipknot's early classic "Wait And Bleed"!

Beyond Unbroken have released their latest powerhouse anthem "Lost and Broken" out now from FiXT.  

"Lost and Broken" is a fierce, heavy, and thrashing anthem that showcases Beyond Unbroken's versatility and creative prowess. Midsummer Scream a horror convention out of many out there, that takes place in the middle of summer, at the end of July, every year in Long Beach, California at its convention center. This year, it took place July 26th through the 28th 2024. And it was sold out for most of the weekend, fans gathered from all over California to other places as well, everyone adored in their black attire to full on costume get up. It was all spooky smiles centered around all things scary, spooky, horror related and especially Halloween!

Friday evening July 26th had various presentations ranging from films, performances, magic acts, and other musical acts as well, a very brief introduction as to what to be expected that very next day, Saturday July 27th, was when the vendor hall would open it’s doors, hall of shadows with mini haunted houses you could walk through and get spooked bye. Along with other smaller panel discussions, food carts, and guests meeting and greeting with the fans who came in. This all took place in the lower level of the convention, whilst the upper level had showrooms where larger panel discussions were held, various theme parks Knotts, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Haunted Hayride, Queen Mary, all talked about their fall attractions of the spooky kind, featuring mazes, houses, and the like that everyone as eagerly awaiting to hear all about.

Sunday July 28th would be the last day of this convention, featuring many more guests making appearances, the vendor hall selling off the rest of their merchandise, as well as the hall of shadows still packed and going strong with guests roaming around the mazes it provided. A lot of the same for the weekend portion of this horror convention, offering a lot for guests, many coming in full make up and costume attire of their favorite characters Friday the 13th’s Jason, Halloween’s Michael Myers, Child’s Play Chucky, to others like Scream, Monster High, as well as other monsters and ghouls Frankenstein, Dracula, and zombies too!

Midsummer Scream is an annual convention that always happens every summer time, hence the namesake “mid” in its title, in the middle of summer, making every summer the spookiest if not hottest of the year!
